A spike in cyberattacks has accompanied the war between Israel and Iran. Iran is tapping into private security cameras in Israel to gather real-time intelligence about its adversary, exposing a recurrent problem with the devices that has emerged in other global conflicts. should “presume your security video systems could be targeted,” he added. Most consumers prioritize price over the security of a surveillance system, even though a weakly protected camera can be a “stepping stone” into overtaking the broader network, said Peleg Wasserman, a security architect at a global energy firm. “They don’t look at the security features of the device they’re buying. So for the vendor there is no incentive to beef up security of such systems.” “Consumers need to remember that they’re not the only ones who may have access to this camera,” Wasserman said. “I’ve seen people that put a camera outside the home without knowing that they’re also filming their neighbors, for example, or a sensitive object or even giving a panoramic view of a city which may be useful for targeting.” In addition, private surveillance cameras often come with a default password — sometimes as simple as 1-2-3-4 — which is rarely changed by the user, according to experts. Some systems automatically stream the footage on the internet. While Chinese-made cameras have taken over a large part of the private surveillance market, other systems have weak protections. A study by BitSight Technologies Inc. this month found live footage from 40,000 security cameras is accessible on the internet, including 14,000 in the US. For countries at war, this data leakage can be an Achilles’ heel. In 2022, the Israeli cyber agency warned that 66,000 personal cameras in Israel were using a default password and could easily be overtaken by hackers. That warning was largely unheeded, including in the southern towns that were invaded by Hamas in the attack that killed over 1,200 and saw 250 abducted. After the Hamas attack, the Israeli government issued nonbinding directives urging citizens to strengthen the information security on their personal security cameras, many of them Chinese-made, including adding two-factor authentication. It also obtained legal approval to remotely shut off traffic cameras and personal devices reflecting out on sensitive areas, such as borders or critical infrastructure, according to Portnoy, the former director of the Israel National Cyber Directorate. That came after it detected increased attempts by Israel’s adversaries to breach highway cameras to monitor troop movements. Portnoy said Hamas had hacked private cameras for years to collect intelligence and monitor civilian and military movements while planning the attacks. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by the US and many other governments. An analysis of the military’s secure border cameras after the war began found they not breached by Hamas, according to Portnoy. But private security systems from the kibbutzim nearby that were later invaded were compromised, he said, citing footage found in Gaza by the Israeli military. Franco, in an interview before the outbreak of the latest Israel-Iran conflict, said cameras that farmers installed in agricultural fields along the border to prevent theft inadvertently showed soldiers’ positions along the Gaza security fence. Most people are unaware of the potential dual use of CCTV when they try to bolster their personal security without proper safeguards, whether in towns, kindergartens, offices or private homes, according to Franco. “You try to protect yourself and meanwhile you are exposing yourself,” he said. Since Israel launched its attack on Iran’s nuclear program on Friday, Iran has retaliated by firing hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones. More than 200 people have been killed in Iran by Israel’s strikes, according to the Iranian government. In Israel, the government says 24 people have been killed and over 800 injured. https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/iranian-hackers-hijacking-home-security-cameras-to-spy-within-israel-101750396147899.html |

Popular social media activist and influencer, Verydarkblackman, arrived Makurdi on Sunday to show solidarity with protesting youths in Benue State who are demanding an end to the unrelenting killings in their communities. The protest, which began earlier in the day, saw thousands of youths occupying the Abuja-Makurdi highway. Dressed in black and wielding placards and palm fronds, the demonstrators maintained a peaceful stance while calling for justice for the over 200 victims reportedly killed in Yelewata community, Guma Local Government Area, barely 24 hours earlier. Tensions, however, escalated when security forces moved in and fired teargas in a bid to disperse the peaceful crowd. Panic and confusion ensued as protesters scrambled for safety while some were reportedly injured in the chaos. Verydarkblackman, who arrived during the crackdown, condemned the use of force against unarmed civilians demanding justice. “This is unacceptable,” he said in a video livestreamed on his social media accounts. “These young people are mourning their loved ones, yet the government chooses to respond with teargas instead of action. We cannot be silent.” Despite warnings from the Benue State Government against unlawful gatherings, the protesters insist their actions are fueled by frustration and the absence of effective security measures. “Enough is enough,” one protester said. “We are not criminals—we are citizens abandoned by the system. All we want is peace and protection.” As of press time, security operatives were still present at the protest site, and the situation remained tense. https://idomavoice.com/verydarkman-arrives-benue-joins-protest-over-killing-by-herdsmen/ |
The political tension in Kano has continued as Nigeria police chief, Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the appearance of Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, spokesperson to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. This latest police invitation is tied to the controversial 2024 suspension of the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje — a political heavyweight in the state. The police believe Dawakin-Tofa played a major role in orchestrating the drama that led to Ganduje’s temporary removal by his ward’s party executives. In an official letter dated May 23, 2025, the IGP asked the Kano State Government to release Dawakin-Tofa for questioning. The letter, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Akin Fakorede, claimed the governor’s aide is being investigated for criminal defamation, impersonation, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The police want him to appear on May 29 before one of their top officers, SP Mojirode B. Obisiji, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. This isn’t the first time the police have gone after Dawakin-Tofa. Back in December 2024, a similar arrest order was issued over the same matter — a development that triggered legal battle between the police and the Kano government. At the heart of this saga is a long-standing political feud between Ganduje and Dawakin-Tofa, both of whom hail from the same area in Kano. Their rivalry stretches back to 2015, when Ganduje, then governor-elect, allegedly ordered Dawakin-Tofa’s arrest over his opposition during that year’s election. In 2024, Ganduje was suspended by the APC executive committee in his ward — a move the party later disowned, but one that stirred massive political ripples. Fingers immediately pointed at Dawakin-Tofa, with Ganduje accusing him of plotting the whole thing to crush him (Ganduje’s) in Kano. In response to the initial police move against him last year, Dawakin-Tofa secured a court order shielding him from arrest, detention, or harassment. That injunction covered not only the IGP, but also the DSS, Civil Defence, and senior police officers involved in the case. However, that legal protection hasn’t stopped the latest police action. His legal team has since appealed a ruling by a Kano High Court that dismissed his suit against Ganduje and the police, hoping the Court of Appeal will offer relief. The political tension in Kano is only getting thicker, especially with the 2027 general elections on the horizon. https://dailypost.ng/2025/06/15/tension-in-kano-as-igp-summons-gov-abbas-spokesman-over-ganduje/ |
Tension gripped parts of Benue State on Sunday as angry youths staged a massive protest, blocking the Abuja-Makurdi highway in reaction to the continued killings across the state. Dressed in black and wielding palm fronds and placards with heart-wrenching inscriptions, the demonstrators barricaded the busy highway, bringing vehicular movement to a standstill and causing widespread gridlock. Naija News reports that the protest came barely 24 hours after a fresh attack by suspected armed herdsmen on Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area, where over 200 people were reportedly killed. The tragedy befell Yelewata on Friday night when suspected armed herdsmen initiated a lethal assault at approximately 10:00 pm, resulting in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries. Reports obtained by Naija News on Saturday morning indicated that at least 16 individuals suffered from varying levels of injuries during the attack. The precise count of those deceased remains unverified, as authorities are actively collecting information from the incident site. In reaction to a distress signal, personnel from the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) proceeded to the location but were ambushed in Daudu while on their way. This ambush led to the unfortunate deaths of two soldiers and one Civil Defence officer. https://www./2025/06/15/breaking-outrage-in-benue-as-youths-block-abuja-makurdi-highway-over-killings/ |

Truth is that wike cannot leave pdp on his own, never. Reasons being: A. He has invested so much, beyond his own personal imagination and limitless greed that he'd rather die than leave pdp to others to control. His partner in apc led by tinubu are aware of this so they will use him, extensively before pushing him off the cliff. B. Wike is not welcomed in apc so he won't even consider going there. They will roast him alive. He knows that the war in apc is so fierce he won't even make 1st twenty as leaders. He's already late. Wike political life is in the most risky condition right now. He won't be able to handle due to karma. Wike is stranded, frustrated and desperately confused and embattled. What await him is disgrace and descendency. He has reached his limit. Copied~ |
“You have a president who started on a faulty foot and says: ‘I am going to become president because it is my turn’,” he said. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, a former spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, has said President Bola Tinubu failed to meet expectations that it would improve the quality of governance and standards of life of Nigerians. He alleged that Mr Tinubu’s two years in office have been characterised by unbridled corruption, waste and abuse. In an interview with Channels TV on Tuesday, Mr Baba-Ahmed, said, “Clearly, the Tinubu administration has failed expectations that it was going to radically improve the quality of governance. So much waste, so much abuse of resources and corruption going on.” He noted that since former President Goodluck Jonathan “took over and ran the country aground we fought against Jonathan because we felt Nigeria deserved better leadership than Jonathan”. Mr Baba-Ahmed added, “We didn’t realise that we were going to put in place someone who was not even to govern at all. Jonathan governed badly. President Buhari didn’t govern at all.” “Now, you have a president who started on a faulty foot and says: ‘I am going to become president because it is my turn’. Even if you forgive him for making that comment, two years into the leadership of President Tinubu’s government, we judge them by their record.” Mr Baba-Ahmed argued that if the quality of the lives of Nigerians is used to measure Mr Tinubu’s performance, the administration had failed. “They will tell you they are doing great with all the World Bank statistics, all the international ratings and everything, but that’s not the only measures you use to measure a government. “You measure by the way citizens live, and if that is the yardstick by which we are going to measure this administration, then clearly, the Tinubu administration has failed expectations that it was going to radically improve the quality of governance,” Mr Baba-Ahmed explained. Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson for Mr Tinubu, did not immediately respond to Peoples Gazette’s request for comments. https://gazettengr.com/jonathan-misgoverned-buhari-clueless-tinubu-dashed-nigerians-hope-hakeem-baba-ahmed/ |

Use our new search tool: Click to search! The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has narrated how he survived a plane crash while giving a Thanksgiving at a church in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, as seen in a trending video. Wike's voice was captured in a viral video clip showing the inside of an aeroplane with its pilots speaking in the background of the alleged Wike's voice praying profusely. Names of Wike's jet reportedly experienced engine failure According to Tell Magazine, the incident involved a Bombardier Global Express 5000/6000 series jet, which is valued at N15 billion. It experienced the sudden failure of the engine at 34,000 feet. The pilots were seen struggling to stabilise the aircraft as the alleged Wike's voice was invoking divine intervention. Some of the divine intervention words captured in the voice are: “Satan, you are a liar!”, “Father, Father! Oh, Jehovah”, “Blood of Jesus! Father, it is time to prove yourself!”, “Jesus, you are in charge!”, “Save my soul, save my soul, save my soul!”. However, in a new video that emerged, the minister was seen in a church explaining that he had gone to the air force base in Port Harcourt to board a plane to Lagos because there was someone he had to see on that day. When did Wike's jet experience engine failure? Wike then disclosed that 15 minutes after boarding the airline, he heard an unfriendly sound, and he asked one of the air hostesses what the problem was. The air hostess told him there was nothing and went to meet the pilot. She returned to inform him that one of the plane's engines had been damaged. He further disclosed that one of the pilots suggested that they had to return to Port Harcourt because their journey to Lagos was too far. Thus, he could not meet the person in Lagos as he had planned on that faithful day. The minister also disclosed that he was in the aircraft with two of his friends when the incident happened, and the only thing one of them could say was that "I have not told my wife anything". However, the minister thanked God for landing safely. Here is the video of the minister's testimony:

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and member of the Board of Trustees, Bode George, has described the one-party state rearing its head in the country as a huge joke. Naija News reports that the former military governor of Ondo State made this known while reacting to the recent wave of defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In an interview with the Sun Newspaper, Bode George questioned the achievement of the current government, which is causing the opposition party to defect. The PDP chieftain noted that the electoral power rests with the masses and warned the defectors, adding they should not allow themselves to be consumed by the anger of the people. He said, “One-party state is a huge joke. It can never happen. Talking from experience, I ask what is democracy? It is the management of the resources of the land on the benefit of the people. What is happening in one-party state that is attracting people to join? Have they brought succour for the people? The power to elect rests with the people. Do not forget that electoral process in Nigeria is a huge joke, very ugly in every aspect where the will of the people cannot be respected because manipulators are everywhere. “And I ask, for how long have they been into active politics? Most of them are all new in politics, but let us give them the chance. Proverbially, there is no way a child is given pap as food that he would not rub it all over his mouth. So, if they want to learn, fine, but if they do not want to learn it will be a quagmire. I was a military governor of Ondo State at 42 years. General Gowon became the head of state at 32. Obasanjo at 39, Muritala Mohammed at 36, Awolowo was 32 years when he became the premier of the Western region. To all those who are decamping, I say to them be ‘calming down because when the people decide to revolt, they should not allow themselves to be consumed by the anger of the people. One is there today because the system allows you. If you continuously cheat and make life impossible for the common people, who are the base of the will power, they might react. Therefore, one should be careful. I have seen it more than most of them. I have seen governance between the military and civilian. Where are the men of yesteryears?” https://www./2025/06/01/one-party-state-is-huge-joke-it-can-never-happen-bode-george/ |
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has been named Premier League player of the season. It is the second time the 32-year-old Egyptian has won the award, which is decided after votes from the public are combined with those from a panel of football experts, having also claiming it in the 2017-18 campaign. Salah, who led his side to the Premier League title this season, beat off the challenge from team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch as well as Arsenal's Morgan Gibbs-White and Declan Rice, Newcastle's Alexander Isak, Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, and Chris Wood of Nottingham Forest. It is the first time since 2018-19 that a Manchester City player has not won the award. Going into Sunday's final game of the season against Crystal Palace, Salah has 28 league goals - five more than anyone else - as well as 18 assists - six more than any other player and two off the record of 20 held by Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne. This season he also became the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history, overtaking Sergio Aguero's 184 goals, and signed a new two-year contract to stay at Anfield until 2027. This month Salah was named Football Writers' Association footballer of the year for the third time after receiving more than 90% of the votes. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cwyvpkg2ryeo |

Vice President Shettima Has Been Sidelined, Now Agent For Wedding And Burial Ceremonies — APC Chieftain The APC Chieftain wondered why President Tinubu can’t handover power to Vice President Kashim Shetimma whenever he travels outside the shores of Nigeria... News Week Nigeria reports that erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), and presently a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has expressed worries over how Vice President Kashim Shetimma has been sidelined in the scheme of things in the presidency. The APC Chieftain wondered why President Tinubu can’t handover power to Vice President Kashim Shetimma whenever he travels outside the shores of Nigeria, warning that the office of the VP is an exalted position that shouldn’t be sacrificed on the alter of political expediency. Advertisements “As much as I am not a supporter of Vice President Kashim Shettima, I must state as a concerned Nigerian that I am not happy with the way and manner such a highly profiled politician is being treated by this administration and turning such a highly respected politician to an agent of government solely for attending wedding and burial ceremonies. This is sad, unfortunate and unacceptable “He may not have the courage to voice out his frustration but the fact remains that for the two years that he has serviced as the Vice President of this country and number of times that President Tinubu have traveled outside this country, Mr President has not found it fit and needful to handover power to the Vice President. “This act is not only condemnable but against the spirit and letters of the Constitution of this country, Eze stated. Similarly, Eze described the Presidential Census Committee set up by President Bola Tinubu as “one goof, too many”, insisting that posterity will not be kind to the present APC administration, in view of the many wrong steps it has continued to take. Chief Eze in his widest imagination, could not fathom the rationale behind some of the bizzare, undemocratic and unruly actions of a man who claims to be among patriotic democrats who fought the military junta to enthrone democracy in Nigeria. Eze, a member of the APC Legacy Media Team, in a statement issued in Port-Harcourt at the weekend, expressed utmost dismay over the Census Committee announced by President Tinubu, with only one section of the country dominating membership of the Committee for the highly sensitive national assignment. That apart, the APC Chieftain tagged Tinubu, a nepotist, accusing him of using tribal sentiments as a last resort to gain political traction and visibility ahead the 2027 presidential election. “He knows how he won the 2023 presidential election. It is sad and unacceptable that the President from day one of his inauguration on May 29, 2023, made his re-election bid in 2027, a centre-piece of his administration’s policy, thereby relegating genuine democratic governance to the backdrop. Eze stated. “Now, to avoid being humiliated out of office in 2027, Mr President is doing everything humanly, politically and tribally possible to remain in power until 8 years. “Of course, the best way to actualize his ambition is to garner the support of his kinsmen by fixing them in virtually all sensitive and revenue generating establishments in a multi-tribal nation like Nigeria, not minding whose ox is gourd. “As if nothing is wrong with Tinubu’s act of nepotism and tribal politics, he recently inaugurated the Census Committee populated mostly by the people of South West with no representation from North-East, South-South and of course South-East, that doesn’t even exist in his political and administrative calculation, the APC Chieftain said. For the avoidance of doubt and to put the records straight, members of the high-level committee on national population and housing census inaugurated by President Tinubu are as follows: 1. Chief of Staff – Femi Gbajabiamila 2. Minister of Petroleum Resources – Bola Ahmed Tinubu 3. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy – Wale Edun 4. The PDP founding member said that since he took the oath of office, Tinubu is supposed to be a Nigerian leader governing the country based on its own constitution, rules and regulations. Ex-governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, has accused President Bola Tinubu of using his revered office to fight the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). However, he asserted that Tinubu has turned the country into a political enterprise. “The Office of the President, which is highly exalted, which should be a symbol of the nation, has been dwarfed and pulled down to the level of a party office. If it is the APC as a political party that is giving us a run for our money, I have no problem. APC can fight us because of our position as a political party, but when the president is using his office to fight us on behalf of APC and fight PDP knowingly, it is wrong,” Lamido told The Tribune during a recent interview. He further alleged that there was ongoing intimidation of members of the PDP in Rivers, Delta and other states of the federation where the leaders are of the opposition party. Lamido said: “You are aware of the ongoing intimidation of PDP members in Rivers, Delta and other states of the federation I find the situation disturbing and unsettling.” “It is terribly nauseating because when you talk about corruption and you talk about the high office Tinubu is holding, I don’t think he is on the moral ground to talk of corruption. I don’t think so,” Lamido said. “Because if you look at what Nuhu Ribadu (National Security Adviser) talked about in 2003 under President Olusegun Obasanjo about Tinubu’s tenure as governor of Lagos State and others presently in his government, he (Tinubu) has no moral ground to try anybody about corruption. “I don’t think so. In terms of nepotism and use of state institutions as a personal enterprise, it is like what has been said on the Sokoto to Lagos, Lagos to Calabar road projects. These are clear things that bother on the real abuse of office. They harassed, intimidated and blackmailed Dr Ifeanyi Okowa because of certain allegations. I don’t think he has that kind of moral authority, I mean it.” He further expressed concern that the office of the President is being abused. “It has been diminished to be used for political purposes. It has therefore lost on essence. As I said, destroying PDP, using the government machineries is not in his interest. He needs PDP more than any other person to serve that office. Otherwise, he is going to be a big loser if he destroys PDP. So, I urge him to distinguish the Office of the President from the APC. He should stop interfering in the affairs of the PDP; it is not good for him; it, is not good for the country and our own image. It is dangerous for all of us,” Lamido said. Speaking further on his impression about the war against corruption in Nigeria under the incumbent administration, Lamido said” “Corruption is now in charge in the country.” He expatiated saying: “The road contract between Lagos and Calabar, there was no advert for tenders; there was no bidding; there was no due process. No provision for it in the budget. There was no approval by the National Assembly. Just one man awarded the contract and you talk about corruption. I beg your pardon.” https://www.tori.ng/news/302858/tinubu-using-his-office-to-fight-pdp-on-behalf-of.html |

An exclusive report by empowerednewswire.org has revealed why the rift between President Bola Tinubu and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is deepening. According to the report by the online newspaper, the deepening rift accounted for why President Tinubu did not celebrate Eid-el-Fitr in Lagos. According to empowerednewswire.org, though there are several angles to why the father and son relationship between the President and Governor had broken down, one that reared its head of recent is Sanwo-Olu’s association with Aisha Achimugu and his decision to attend her “extravagant birthday celebration abroad last year”, which sparked media controversy. Close associates, the newspaper reported, shared the information of the lavish party by Achimugu with the President, “who was scandalised not only by the occurrence itself but by the claims that the paramour had been swaying the Lagos State Governor in matters of governance, especially the deployment of favours in the State”. Indeed the tales of how Ms. Achimugu had become a major influence peddler in Lagos is among what provoked a petition against her to the EFCC which last week declared her wanted in a statement signed by Dele Oyewale, the spokesman of the anti-corruption agency. In that statement the EFCC accused Achimugu of criminal conspiracy and money laundering. According to Lagos State political insiders “what grieved the President most was how the Governor is said to be at the fingertips of the woman, something Asiwaju is known to deeply dislike, that a woman is controlling a man in the discharge of a position of public trust!” There are also serious suspicions and allegations spreading in political circles both in Lagos and Abuja that the Kogi State born Achimugu was the conduit who delivered funds from Sanwo-Olu to the Atiku Abubakar campaign, a claim already disputed by the Atiku media team. Both the Presidency and the EFCC have also said the investigation is not linked to Sanwo-Olu or Atiku. Informed sources added that the President had also not been very comfortable with the aftermath of the results of the 2023 presidential poll in Lagos which he lost to Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate. Specifically, sources close to the Lagos State governor say the President was aghast that while he lost the 2023 poll with Sanwo-Olu in the saddle, the Lagos State governor came out victorious a couple weeks later in the 2023 polls with a significant margin of victory. Olu had covertly supported Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during the 2023 elections. Said a keen observer of Lagos politics: “The President believes that is true, and such an alignment is considered a significant breach of loyalty in a political landscape where Tinubu’s leadership in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) remains dominant.” While no concrete evidence has emerged, speculation about divided allegiances has persisted. Atiku Abubakar has publicly denied that Sanwo-Olu supported him, but in the world of politics, narratives fueled by supposedly credible sources often carry more weight than official statements. The strained relationship between Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu has raised questions about the former governor’s political future. Political observers suggest that while Sanwo-Olu has remained largely silent on these issues, his next moves will determine whether he retains influence within the All Progressives Congress or faces political isolation. But there are serious concerns that the President’s displeasure has become rather deep and may have influenced the recent decision to investigate Achimugu, who it is believed managed to have escaped and left the country steps ahead of the investigation. https://theeagleonline.com.ng/why-tinubu-sanwo-olu-rift-is-deepening-report/ |

The United States Mission to Nigeria has announced an investigation into how past aid allocated to Nigeria and other countries has been utilised. This follows US President Donald Trump’s January 20, 2025, decision to suspend all foreign aid for 90 days, citing concerns about global destabilisation and misalignment with American interests. The move responds to growing calls for a comprehensive review of US Agency for International Development (USAID) health funds. In a post on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, the US Mission to Nigeria confirmed that monitoring systems are in place to track past assistance provided by the US government. “Comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems are in place to help verify that U.S. assistance reaches intended recipients,” the mission stated. The US Mission also condemned the ongoing violence perpetrated by Boko Haram in Nigeria. “The United States condemns the violence and blatant disregard for human life perpetrated by Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in Nigeria and the region,” it declared. The statement further highlighted Boko Haram’s official designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US Secretary of State on November 14, 2013. The designation aims to block the group’s assets, restrict its fundraising, prosecute its members and prevent their travel to the United States. The U.S. government reaffirmed its commitment to working with Nigeria and regional partners to combat terrorism and enhance security in West Africa. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/02/boko-haram-us-to-audit-aid-funds-to-nigeria/amp/ |
