PLEASE I REALLY NEED HELP BEFORE I TAKE MY LIFE,

I'm 29 yrs old inlove with a man of 35yrs.We were suppose to be gettin married in like 3 months time. My fiance invited me over to his family house so we can discuss about our weddin preparation but on gettin there , he had a call form his boss who requested his presence right away; so he travelled to Abuja dat day. He promised to be back in 2days,so i was left alone with his parent and your brother.

My predicament : Later that nite , a lady knocked at the door and my father-inlaw open the door not known they were arm robbers. They came in ,beat my brother inlaw ,collected all the money and raped me in the presence of my in-law. The following morning my parent in-laws took me to the hosiptal for medical attention, i dont know what the family doctor told them but on gettin home,My mother-inlaw asked if i think its a good idea to still go on with the weddin plans, i told her yes.

My mother-inlaw insisted on telling her son the whole scene, even though i begged her,she doesnt tink i'm the right woman for her son anymore after 3yrs that i've known them.

What should i do now?
RomanceRe: My Gf Told Me She Aborted In Her Last Relationship by amosexy: 3:40pm On May 03, 2009
She aborted once in how many years of her life n u want to kill ur sef ,u cant forgive her and she even confessed it without u forcin her, u r God-forsaken & callous. Leave her n go into anoda relationship cos you dont deserve her. how many ladies can actually tell their guyz the truth thisdayz ? for those that are willing to tell the truth,u guyz will use it against them, it's really unfair man.

Anywayz my advice to u is to look for anoda lady who has no past becos if u marry this child-killer lady(as u see her) she might kill all oda ones she will av for u oooo. I wish u well in ur quest for lady-free-of-abortion.

Honestly my heart really sore, readin all wat u r goin thru emotionally makes me feel marriage is no go area for me.I wished i could just spank ur husband bt still the only thing u can do now is seat him down and talk to him,ask him wer u go wrong, pour ur mind out, maybe u did something wrong and even if u dont, just talk to him. Men just like bringin out the beast in us. I must confess i'm really sad  cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry  .

Re: Why Naija Guys In The Diaspora Go Home To Marry
« #25 on: May 02, 2007, 06:18 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i read what everyone said and most of you made sense, i agree with somebody. most girls in naija pretend, ya there are good ones but most of them are ashies, when you marry them and take them out of the country then you would see their true colors.

But you can't just say women who are abroad, don't make better wives, or that you can't find a good woman here, women are the same everywhere you go, i think its just because men want women that would be their slaves and not stand up to them, ultimately its all about control, they wouldn't want to be with a woman who would challenge their opinons when they feel it is wrong, girls abroad are more knowledgeable annd wouldn't want to be in a controlling relationship, because from experience, Naija men always want to excercise control over everything,(im 23 years old and my dad is still tryingto control my every move, even when im not in naija) as for me, if it ain't gonna be a 50:50 marriage, then why bother. Bible says 2 become one, not one controlling the other.

at the end im going to marry a naija man, who understands that a woman should matter too in a marriage, and her place is not always going to be in the kitchen, i didn't spend 6 years in college n getting a master's degree to become a full house wife eh. im lucky because my guy understands and respects that, i am a great cook, i clean and know how to take care of my man and family, and i am still a virgin, so don't tell me there are no good women abroad.

Those were ur words b4 u got married, guess most of the time wat we see in our men b4 we marry them are all illusions.A guy u thot respected n understood u has now turn to wat ?

I think u  should start prayin cos it is too early to complain.Dont think of hangin out with ur friends becos  the outcome might be very bad.Make God ur companion if ur hubby wont be.
TV/MoviesAMAA - Funke Akindele Is Africa's Best Actress by amosexy(op): 1:36pm On Apr 07, 2009
Funke Akindele is Africa's Best Actress
From Kabir Alabi Garba and Shaibu Husseini (who were in Yenagoa)

NIGERIA's Funke Akindele has been named by the jury of the 2009 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), as Africa's best actress in a leading role.

Akindele was the jury's choice out of six other actresses nominated in that category, including a Ghanaian and Kenyan. Although, the actress, who interpreted delightfully the role of Jenifa, the lead character in the movie of same title, was not present at the award ceremony at the Integrated Glory Land Cultural Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, a resounding applause greeted her declaration as the continent's best actress for this year.

But it was Kenyan's day at the award, which was witnessed by Governor Timipre Silva and members of his cabinet. The Kenyan filmmakers made it up the dais five times to receive the highest number of awards of the evening.

From a Whisper, the movie by Kenyan Director and Scriptwriter, Wanuri Kahiu, which commemorates the 10th anniversary of the infamous August 7, 1998 terrorist bombing in Kenya in which over 250 people died and 5,000 were injured was adjudged the best African film for 2009.

The movie, which examines the aftermath of the bombing on the lives of the indirect victims of the blast, also got the award for the best screenplay, best director, best editing and best original soundtrack.

The award night also featured stand-up comic acts and musical performances. Filmmakers from South Africa, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Rwanda and Niger Republic also got rewarded for their artistry in the make-belief world of the movies.

South Africa's Gugu and Andile got the awards for best promising actress and actor category as well as the best film in African Language.

Uganda received the award for the best film with visual effect with its only entry Battle of the Soul, while Burkina Faso got garlanded for the best animated film with Justin Zerbo's Kono.

Anyway i told her i saw the datin site she was on and she said i have no right using her system  without permission and said i dont even have prove  to show anybody.i got so mad and slapped her .Her mum told me she already warned her about datin site and since i have no prove, she didnt believe me .  Her mum felt i'm questionin her skill on how to bring up her children.

I told the mother right  there and there that i want the internet restricted from tomorrow either i  provide prove or not.

Please how do we restrict what our teenagers do on internet . Eachtime i entered my niece's(13yrs) room, she quickly closes the page she's browsin on,then i asked her wat she was browsin on n she said it was a pet store cos she needs a pet. The nxt day i browsed the history and discovered it was a dating site. I didnt tell her cos this pikin for abroad e get as e be for them, she might say i have to right going thru her system.

What can i do and how do parent monitor what their children do on internet?

@ Poster

Plz define the word prostitute for me abeg.

Every woman who has had more than one sexual partner before marriage is a prostitute except those who got married as a V-yash. so if ur definition of prostitue is woman who jump from one man to other cos of material things, then my answer is : THEY ALL GET MARRIED.

FamilyRe: Parental Guide: Bringing Up A Child by amosexy: 2:00pm On Mar 31, 2009
@ Sissy thanx so much. If a mother encourages her daughter to use BC and she took advantage of it to start strewing around and at the end of the day she got silly ,contacted HIV or the womb stop workin becos of too much pills. The daughter will forever blame her mother and the mother might neva even forgive herself for encouraging it. So sissy , to ba ko waju si e ko ta,to ko eyin si e ko ta, a mo to ba ku iwo ni kan ko tun ero ara e pa(i will teach her how to stay away from sex but if she does it,she should face the consequences).

@Tgirl4real i'm sorry to have raised a thought provokin question but the truth is when you see the the way some mothers raises their kids, you will want to look yourself as being mean to your own kids.Eachtime i try to correct my sister on giving too much candies to her kids, you hear her givin some rubbish excuses that ,she just got back from work and the only thing she can use to make them happy is givin them everything they want. These kids hardly take healthy food and even if they will take, she has to beg them with candies. They call me MEAN-AUNT becos i dont offer them candies after meal.Is it that mothers find it had to say NO to their kids abroad especially nigerian women ? Is it easy for me to be mean becos their not my kids .I'm not a mother yet but i must tell u i'm scared of being one .
FamilyRe: Parental Guide: Bringing Up A Child by amosexy: 4:41am On Mar 31, 2009
I have some questions everybody and will really appreciate peoples responds on this, How many candy can u give your kids in a day, can u let them have as much as they want in a day,Is it gud for kids to wake early in the morning demanding for candy, gum, chocolate e.tc and u give it to them ? Is it proper for parent to use candy to encourage their kids to eat ? I'm sorry to ask all this questions but eachtime my nephew (5yrs) wakes up cryin for candy and the mother givin it him, makes me feel sick. Does mother have to give their kids everything thing they demanded for ? Should mothers really be blamed for their kids bad behaviours ? Should a mother encourage her teenage daughter to use birth control pills ? Is it proper and Godly for a mother to take her child for an abortion when the foetus is healthy ?

I dont really know wat this world is turning to.Thanks

Get creative.

You hear of sewing machines that can translate sound into fabrics, some others use laser cut shapes of recorded sounds and embed them into jewellery of all materials. You can read your wedding vows into those and wear your vows with you everytime.
Get a wrist band, an anklet. . . . anything other than a ring. Or do you always have to be traditional? tongue grin
I really av to get creative for real,i guess i will get a wrist band for reallllllllllllllllll.thanx so much.

@amosexy, quit the herbal tea. those laxatives are not healthy. search the internet for the dangers of using those slimming teas and you would be shocked. Try to reduce your carbs, and also reduce the amount of food you eat per meal. take food equal to the size of your fist per meal.Keep doing your exercises. If yu do these non stop, you would loose weight. Many people have lost weight using these methods
Thank u so much,i really appreciate this response. So the herbal tea is bad? i've bin usin it for almost a yr now cos i dont wanna keep retainin food in my tommy,i never knew i've bin killin myself slowly. cry
