Kai Havertz last season as a striker/false nine: 8 games 8 goals 1 assist Oga Ibime you have a text message from IamJ and User09 |
Tuchel: "I feel the team is very competitive and difficult to play against. We will be able to win games. We are still in the battle and that’s the good news." |
Andreas Christensen vs Manchester United: 100% pass accuracy 1 key pass 5/5 long balls completed 2/2 successful dribbles 3/3 ground duels won 6 blocks/interceptions Phenomenal. Source: [@LSComps] |
BlueRayDick:I'm not justifying his arrest because he is part of the government that's an aside. |
Tuchel - The most important is not the formations. The most important is how we live it, how everybody respects the principles, how we attack, how we defend in the formation that we play. |
"Maybe it is our fault [lack of goals] because we have a lot of possession and opponents very deep so spaces are not too big." "We are reflecting and working with him. There are solutions in tight spaces to use his speed in the first metres, his acceleration." Tuchel on Werner |
obainojazz:In the past when we had little information on how government works we used to blame FG for anything that happens but having gotten to know how government works across tiers it's dishonest to continue doing so because it means we are not in search of truth. Severally in my state (Kogi) kidnappers of different ethnic extractions including those who are Fulanis have been caught and dealt with by the local security set up across the state, Buhari didn't stop Yahaya Bello from doing the needful to ensure the protection of lives and properties of his people. On Friday I travelled from Abuja to Okene on approaching Okene-Lokoja section of the Expressway I saw local security outfits patrolling the road, those guys in collaboration with Federal security operatives have put criminals on their toes although the criminals do come out once in a while but there's massive improvement. There have been hashtags and it resulted in several security meetings by the 19 northern state governors one of such hashtags is #SecureNorth. Obaino as a CEO of a company will you not discipline an employee who decided to criticise you publicly despite him having access to you or those closer to you who they can lay their complaints to? Dawisu is part of the government he should provide solution in-house not running to social media to vent his frustrations. Dawisu that supported the robbery that happened in Kano in 2019 is forming radical. |
Conte: “At Chelsea I used a 4-2-4, but had to change because Hazard, Willian and Pedro struggled to cope with defensive duties. I switched to a 3-man defence. The idea must be adapted to the players. I see football as a scholar: reshaping ideas makes the difference between coaches" |
Manchester City have now officially conceded 16 goals this Premier League season. Chelsea’s record of just 15 goals conceded in the 2004/05 season is safe, once again. |
obainojazz:What are the governors doing in general despite the security votes they're getting every month? We can see the relentless efforts of Zulum, Ganduje, Wike, and Yahaya Bello to some extent yielding results. Security is local and any arrangement that isn't spearheaded by the local actors will not produce the desired result |
It wasn't really the fault of Chelsea per se in the decision of Jamal Musiala to depart, from the reason cited was Brexit and the the influence of Bayern scouts and his agent. https://www.goal.com/story/the-making-of-jamal-musiala/index.html |
Roman Abramovich has given Chelsea the “green light” to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. [Bild] Matt Law: “If Roman wants to buy Haaland, then Chelsea will go for it.” |
When Giroud shows his grandkids a compilation of his best goals they're going to think he was better than Pele. Matt Spiro |

swiz123:Mendy is good on the ball sometimes he overplays it but most times his ball distribution is good |

Tuchel on Mount's performance: "Again, a good effort, a big effort, high workrate, high intensity like we are used to when he plays like this. He has a big impact on our team." |
2 - Thomas Tuchel has conceded just two goals in eight games as Chelsea manager; in the club's history, the only coach to concede fewer goals after eight games in charge is José Mourinho (one). Masterclass. Source: OptaJoe |
Ibime:Let's ask the in-house apostle to keep him in prayers. Skimpledawg are you there? |
Ibime:Suarez is not as explosive as he once were and Kovacic may be tasked to keep a close watch on him. The guy who could really cause serious damage is Joao. |
OVA200:When a team is in terrible state you shore them up by stabilizing the defense variations can come up later. To play to the strengths of the team defensively he needs to play 3atb to provide the defensive stability |
iamJ:Our transfers are as bad as Barca and worse than that of ManCity because we penny-pinch when we are supposed to go for top targets and spend wasteful amount of money on downgrades, Barcelona and ManCity have a big stadia and inflated sponsorship deals to cover for their losses plus trophies to show for it in comparison to our abysmal records in recent years. I'm not against developing talents and selling them for profits because the likes of Benfica, Ajax, Monaco, Schalke, and other clubs do this to some extent but are we really good at that? Imagine allowing Tariq Lamptey to go for 3m, Tomori the 2nd best defender owned by Chelsea will soon be going for 30m or so €, Salah sold for peanuts, Jamal Musiala whom we should have fast-tracked gone for next to nothing. I can go on and on about lack of squad planning and the impact on the growth of the club the successes we have made in transfer dealings are flukes not a testament of detailed planning. The Oscar deal was a maga something, likewise Mata, Hazard, and Costa |
BlueMann:Chelsea should look at Ligue 1 and raid them for cheap alternatives |
iamJ:Before Roman Abramovich there were Chelsea fans in the mid-90s and early 2000s Ibime said it the other time he was a supporter of Chelsea because of Babayaro. An uncle of mine was supporting Chelsea he even received a signed jersey from Gianluca Vialli back then, I remember him also gifting a friend of his' George Weah's jersey he bought. You shouldn't dismiss the concerns of fans with the talk of where were they before Roman because we have experience fans who have witnessed the ups and downs of our modern history and how terrible transfer decisions occasioned them |
OJURONGBE1:That's the thing with business people who know next to nothing about football they're the ones ruining the game with unrealistic expectations and inadequate squad planning. Everything to them is business they used flawed business models to run football. |
Chelsea tried twice to sign Jan Obak. In 2018 they wanted him ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga but decided not to pay his £87m release clause. They signed Kepa for £71m instead. Source: NizaarKinsella |
Capaldi:Ibrahimovic has not shone on the grandest of stages like the big games of UCL and World Cup, he goes missing when you expect him to shine. He is a great goalscorer but Henrique Larsson is greater than him |
"I played with Chris Willock in Benfica and he told me that Chelsea has a guy that he sees who is similar to me and he told me it was Mason Mount. I see him and I like the way he plays, I like the way he touches the ball." - Joao Felix |
Felipe Lius: “I suffered Salah in training, pfff. When he went Fiorentina, I said: ‘Why are you going? He said ‘I need to play.’ I thought: ‘This kid’s good.’ He never went for money or to win more; he went to show he could play. In training he was like Messi. Really, like Messi" Source: @Blue_Footy |
Capaldi:Madrid was a solid team with him shielding the defense when he left they suffered a decline till they were able to get Muhammadu Diarra that helped them do the dirty work, also with him Chelsea have the lowest goal conceded and highest point tally in EPL as at then plus strong performances in Europe, when he left Chelsea we had to rely on Obi Mikel which was a downgrade. |
"My priority is very simple its always the game we play. I expect when we where the Chelsea shirt we play to win and give 100%. Someday its better and someday not so good. It's amazing and exciting to play Champions League games. We feel confident and focused." - Thomas Tuchel |
