Romanoff: If a man pegs the respect his woman gives to him on how many years older than her he is, he is showing he has nothing else to offer her to get that respect asides age.
It's the reason some men claim they can't marry a woman that is older than them.
A woman should respect you regardless of your age.
My thoughts sha. On what basis(es) do you think most women would respect their husbands aside age? To paraphrase the question, what qualities generally make wives to respect their husbands in your opinion? |

money121: Hello Nairalanders, Few weeks ago, a single father posted his twins here on nairaland (https://www.nairaland.com/6519966/twins-plus1-today-im-happy) and I was so moved, I reached out to him that i wish to assist him with some little token monthly if he don't mind, I dropped my contact, he contacted me and i assisted him with the token as promised.
But i noticed a lot of members on nairaland started contacting me for assistance, some even thought i run a charity foundation, so this prompted me to Start this weekly GiveAway.
The beneficiary will either be a Widow, Widower, Single parent and i will also consider Students because i know it is not easy here in Nigeria. This will serve as my little contribution and pay back to Nairaland because this forum has really helped my Roofing Business thus far.
So, we will pick winners randomly every week with proof that you are really in need of that money. I believe 5k will go a long way to attend to some basic things.
Note: If I give you the money, it's not because you scoped me to achieve that, you're just unintelligent/unwise if you're among those taking advantage of kind people around you and calling such kind hearted people maga. My believe is that givers never lack.
Moreover, i'm also aware of the economic challenges/recession in the country, so helping people when I can is right to me.
TO APPLY: Drop a comment here and tell us how this 5k would go a long way to helping you. You can send proof to my DM to support your reason. I will randomly pick one (1) person each week.

It always gladdens my heart whenever I see someone who is kind-hearted and generous; someone who understands it's much more important to help others (with what he's privileged to have) than foolishly amass wealth that he doesn't really need. If we have more people like you, the world could become a paradise. As you do your best to help others, may you never lack anything good. Please, keep up the good work. |
Politics › Re: Cooking Gas Hits ₦550 Per Litre - What's The Price In Your Location? by amrichy(m): 10:46am On Aug 16, 2021 |
NikAustine: The north has Agriculture. The East has Gas, and coal and even oil cause if finally those Eastern local govts that was illegally seeded to the south south especially Rivers State is giving part to the East.. they will be enough to fund the East. And besides one thing the east has more than others regions is Human capital development which I envy greatly. See placely like Aba, Anambra etc. They produce a large percentage of what we used at home( even though I agree that sometimes use made in China or Japan or America logo )just to catch people's attention.
Besides they're many countries in this world like Switzerland etc that are doing well and don't have natural resources. For eg, Holland I think don't. But they have palms and they export those palms and make money from it more than we do our oil ( by the way Akwa ibom and Lagos got palms in large quantities...we can developed ours to for export).
For I'm saying is that those states don't need Resources...they need human capital which they got..so they can survive clearly. And besides oil is going out of fashion..so if we keep being one and sharing and oil finally become 10 dollars that it can't be able to sponsor our budget anymore ....what will those states do then?
Anyways I'm grateful and thankful to God for giving my state Good leaders and I pray He keeps on giving us good leaders.. weather Nigeria does breakup or not but what is sure is that as my state continue like this...in 25-30 years time no state shall smell it back..not even Lagos. If the problem of corruption is solved, do you think it's possible for a United Nigeria to become greatly transformed economically and socially? |
Politics › Re: Cooking Gas Hits ₦550 Per Litre - What's The Price In Your Location? by amrichy(m): 7:13am On Aug 16, 2021 |
NikAustine: Yes I agree. Breaking up will facilitate better living conditions especially for my state akwa ibom. For eg, with our resources( oil) we should be making at least 3-5 billion dollars monthly on sale which will be enough for 6 million Akwa Ibomites. There will be enough money for recurrent and capital expenditures. But being in Nigeria means we have to share that 3-5 billions dollars with others 30 states in the country. Not just oil, Akwa ibom has Gas etc..we can make alot of money for all that if we control our resources as a country. Now to Security, if Akwa Ibomites are the ones securing themselves all this fulanis bandits killings won't be heard about..it will bring more investments into my state culminating in a better life for my people.
Yes you might say my Governnor will still money. But let's imagine out of 5 billion dollars he and his cronies steals 1 billion or 1.5 billion dollars. 3 billion dollars will still be enough to turn my state into an eldorado.
Power: do you know few years ago Akwa ibom built and commission it own power plant that can power the whole state and still remain a sizeable capacity? But atlas we had to send it to the national grid as stipulated by law. Do you know what 24/7 power would have done for my state and its industrialization drive?
I hope with this reasons I have convince you shall Good points. It's very clear that the breakup will greatly benefit parts of the country that are endowed with valuable natural resources. But how about those without such resources, should we not care what becomes of them? If only a very small fraction of Nigerians enjoy better living conditions as a result of the breakup and the majority of others suffer from such breakup, then I don't see it as a good solution to the problem. |

od501: My brother, we all have things to do. I can't waste 30 mins of my life talking about Nigeria: an epitome of a failed state. Use my first comment and make your research; Google is always friend, I have tried by giving you a clue. Have a nice day I don't think 30 mins is too much a time to devote to a discussion that might help solve the problem of your country. I'm sure you spend hours watching movies that don't add any value to your life. Besides, you voluntarily replied me when I quoted someone else. Anyway, my opinion is that breaking up Nigeria will not make much difference if we don't first tackle the problem of corruption. Corruption is what is responsible for 80% of the problems bedeviling us. If corruption is gone, most other problems we face will go with it. |

od501: Are you really asking this question? Yes, I'm really asking the question. I will appreciate it if you can provide clear, sensible answer(s). Ask yourself why a country like Nigeria will suffer from the scarcity of natural fuel at the first place, only then you will understand why Nigeria's break is very important in facilitating better living condition. Please explain to me why Nigeria is "suffering from the scarcity of natural fuel" and tell me (using logical analyses) how the break-up you're advocating for will solve this problem. At the bolded, how will the break up facilitate better living condition? (I'm not saying the break up can't facilitate better living conditions, but I just want you to tell me exactly how the break up will bring that about) |

BrainSanitizer: Good one by the ultimate commander. Except that I don't see how he's going to do that. Here is why. He is not among the 10 richest wrestlers in the world. The poorest in that category is Chris Jericho with a net worth of $18 million. Let's assume that our dear ultimate commander is at number 11. Let's even assume that he is worth $18 million (we know his net worth is actually less than$18 million). At the prevailing exchange rate of 411.41 naira to a dollar, $18 million is equivalent to 7,407,000,000 naira (7.4 billion naira). If this entire amount is divided among 1 million people, each person will receive a paltry sum of 7,407 naira. I doubt if giving someone 7,407 naira can be called "empowerment" or whether that sum is enough to buy tools and equipment as stated in the post. From this analysis, it is clear that even if he gives out his entire wealth, he cannot empower 1 million people. Partnering with Jack Rich is a great idea, except that I also don't believe that Jack Rich is rich enough to fund that kind of programme. Except they're planning to lobby financial organizations to give loans and/or grants to people. Nice analysis. Perhaps he didn't do the maths. He just felt he is so rich that he could "empower" a million people. It's someone like Dangote that can effortlessly do what the man is planning; he can literally empower millions of people with millions of naira and still have more than enough left over for himself and his family. He is currently worth $12.3 billion. That's roughly 5 trillion naira (5 followed by 12 zeros). That's enough for 1 million people to share 5million naira each or 50 million people to share 100thousand naira each! |
