According to latest investigation carried out by me and my colleagues on INEC in payment, this is my finding:
#4,500 for first training,
#3,000 for 2nd training
,#4,000 for feeding/transport
allowance,
#10,000 for logistics,
#32,000 for the 2 elections
making a total of #53,500..
If you collect any amount less than this, it means you have been swindled or duped..
pls, don't forget
that NO PAYMENT,
NO GUBERNATORIAL/HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY election policy.
Don't say you were not told because they will not want/like to pay again after election..

does that mean that the 9000 paid to us is just for logistics not for Presidential elections?

Politics / Inec Adhoc Staff Payments by amsad19(m): 4:29pm On Apr 06, 2015
Inec appoints students and corpers as adhoc staffs in order to aid in the election process. I also applied for the job and i participated in the presidential elections which is very hectic, but to my surprises inec officials pay us 9000 naira each. I believe the job that we did is the hardest in the process but they paid us only 9000 naira. My fellow adhoc officials how much did they pay you in your states?

Politics / Obama Writes Nigerians Over Elections, Urges Peace by amsad19(m): 4:59pm On Mar 23, 2015
Now you have a historic opportunity to help write the next chapter of
Nigeria’s progress—by voting in the upcoming elections. For
elections to be credible, they must be free, fair and peaceful. All
Nigerians must be able to cast their votes without intimidation or fear.
As preparations intensify for general elections in Nigeria, starting Saturday, the
United States President, Barack Obama, on Monday sent a special message to
Nigerians, urging credible and peaceful polls.
In the message sent directly to Nigerians, President Obama reminded the people
about their struggle for the country’s independence from colonialism, the
struggle against military dictatorship and the need to turn the country’s
diversity into a source of strength.
“I call on all Nigerians to peacefully express your views and to reject the voices
of those who call for violence,” Mr. Obama said.
“And when elections are free and fair, it is the responsibility of all citizens to
help keep the peace, no matter who wins,” he added.
Read full text of Mr. Obama’s Message to the Nigerian People below:
“Hello. Today, I want to speak directly to you—the people of Nigeria.
Nigeria is a great nation and you can be proud of the progress you’ve made.
Together, you won your independence, emerged from military rule, and
strengthened democratic institutions. You’ve strived to overcome division and
to turn Nigeria’s diversity into a source of strength. You’ve worked hard to
improve the lives of your families and to build the largest economy in Africa.
Now you have a historic opportunity to help write the next chapter of Nigeria’s
progress—by voting in the upcoming elections. For elections to be credible,
they must be free, fair and peaceful. All Nigerians must be able to cast their
votes without intimidation or fear.
So I call on all leaders and candidates to make it clear to their supporters that
violence has no place in democratic elections—and that they will not incite,
support or engage in any kind of violence—before, during, or after the votes are
counted. I call on all Nigerians to peacefully express your views and to reject
the voices of those who call for violence. And when elections are free and fair,
it is the responsibility of all citizens to help keep the peace, no matter who
wins.
Successful elections and democratic progress will help Nigeria meet the urgent
challenges you face today. Boko Haram—a brutal terrorist group that kills
innocent men, women and children—must be stopped. Hundreds of kidnapped
children deserve to be returned to their families. Nigerians who have been
forced to flee deserve to return to their homes. Boko Haram wants to destroy
Nigeria and all that you have worked to build. By casting your ballot, you can
help secure your nation’s progress.
I’m told that there is a saying in your country: “to keep Nigeria one is a task
that must be done”. Today, I urge all Nigerians—from all religions, all ethnic
groups, and all regions—to come together and keep Nigeria one. And in this
task of advancing the security, prosperity, and human rights of all Nigerians,
you will continue to have a friend and partner in the United States of America.

Politics / Ogun: Yes, Our People ‘re Abandoning PDP For Kashamu— Salako by amsad19(m): 9:08am On Feb 23, 2015
A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and a two-time member of the House of Representatives
representing Remo North Federal Constituency, Honourable Dave Salako bares his mind on the steps the
national leadership of the party should take to avert loss in the forthcoming governorship poll. He
specifically urged the president to ensure he uses his office to intervene in the political imbroglio rocking
the PDP. Excerpts.
By Daud Olatunji
What exactly is wrong with the PDP in Ogun State ?
All is not well and this is because the party hierarchy after seeing all that is happening in Ogun State has
refused to apply the right antidotes to solve these problems. It seems they are turning away their eyes
from the reality.
We have been inundated with calls everywhere after we found that wrong names were published as
candidates. Our problem started from congresses as you are aware, to the primaries and to where we are
now. You should know that there were no primaries in Ogun State. But how come the emergence of
candidates? That is the big question.
So all is not well in Ogun State and we can only tell our people to be calm until we have these problems
resolved. The way it is, the solution is far fetched and I can only speak for myself that come rain, come
shine, I will still be in PDP. Our followers are very angry and they want to move to another party.
Fairness and equity
There is no amount of appeal one can make to them unless the party does the right thing and do justice,
fairness and equity.
Are you now indicting the national leadership of the party of not doing what you believe is right?
I am blaming them for not doing what is right. They are the cause of our problem and I want to stand by
it that unless the party address that area, there is going to be problem. You cannot stop people to move
because there is freedom of association but some of us stakeholders will remain in the party until we get
justice to our side.
Is it that you have an axe to grind with somebody like Kashamu who is the major financier of the party in
Ogun State?
I don’t have any axe to grind with him. The only axe I have to grind with him is that he should be honest
and he should be far away from anything that is politically fraudulent. He has done so many things that I
have seen that are very wrong and he is getting away with it.
I have pointed it out several times. I have taken him to
court but instead of him backing out, he is brining another
dimension into politics of Nigeria – finding people to
compromise in many things that they know are wrong. He
would get a black document and he wants to call it white
to everybody. Falsification and distortion of facts and
documents and I verily believe that this man doesn’t want
us to win in Ogun State.
I have it in my mind that he is working for APC because if
you look at all the candidates he fielded in his so called list,
they are all weak ducklings that can never stand any
election and win. With due respect to those candidates.
Even I challenge him, can he win Ogun East Senatorial seat
for us? He cannot. He is not even qualified. We will
challenge him when the time comes. We cannot be under
the same umbrella with him unless he goes back to mend
his ways.
Don’t you think the situation on ground portends grave danger for the party?
Absolutely, it does. This is a replica of what actually happened in 2011. Let us look at what happened in
2011. Buruji and his cohorts at that time made sure that Daniel and others were sent out of the party.
Daniel went to PPN and the result is here. We lost the election but if you put the result of PPN and PDP
together, we would have defeated Amosun.
I am sure if care is not taken, the same thing will repeat because people are hitching to move to another
party and not to stay under the same umbrella with Buruji and if they do, we cannot not stop and we will
lose that election again. We thought this is a great opportunity for us to claim back our lost glory in Ogun
State.
What was the outcome of several meetings held with the leaders of the party, including Mr. President to
resolve the knotty issues?
In fact if you recall, you will recollect that there was a committee set up under David Mark to look into
Southwest and they summoned us to the villa and we were all told to go and work together. I was there,
Daniel, Dimeji, Buruji, JMK, all the leaders were there but the moment we left there, Buruji came back and
started doing another thing. All the leaders are ready to work together and we are still working together
but without Buruji and he is the only person scattering everything.
Coming to your question, the last meeting that was summoned, the president was there, the vice president
was there, Chief Anenih, Senate President and we were told to go and have a unity list and that nobody
should go to court but the following day, this same man went to court. What has the party done to him? I
want to repeat, he has gone to court more than 40 times and he has about 30 injunctions.
Our former national Chairman , Bamanga Tukur only went to court once and he was disciplined. So what
makes Buruji above all discipline? So there are questions that are begging for answer.
Are you now saying that Buruji is greater than the party?
He looks so but I am happy Anenih told him that he is not bigger than the party but what have they done
since then.

Politics / How The Card Reader Stops Cheating At The Polling Station by amsad19(m): 8:54am On Feb 23, 2015
By Jude Opara
At a polling centre there shall be a presiding officer and between two and three assistant presiding officers
appointed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) depending on the number of registered
voters at the centre.
The presiding officer shall delegate responsibilities to the assistant presiding officers and shall be the final
authority at the voting unit.
With the introduction of the Card Reader machine, once a voter approaches the polling centre, one of the
officials will search the voters register to locate the person’s name and picture.
Card reader
Once that is done, the other officer will collect the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) of the person and slide it
on the Card Reader so as to read the bio-data of the bearer.
The Card Reader has a number of roles; it certifies the
authenticity or otherwise of a PVC. It also tallies the number of
the PVCs it has recorded and forwards same to a central server
thereby eliminating the incident of ballot stuffing that was
prevalent with the use of ordinary Voter Cards.
If the PVC is genuine, the card reader will accept it and then the
owner will place his thumb on the machine to also ascertain that
it truly belongs to the person who brought it, thereby eliminating
the incident of vote buying, multiple voting or voting by proxy.
This step eliminates the use of PVCs stolen or purchased by
some politicians as it renders them useless, the only advantage
for those buying the cards being that it may suppress the votes
of those who ordinarily the real owners of the PVCs would have
voted for.
When it is certified that the card is genuine and truly belongs to
the person who brought it, it will pop up and announce to the
hearing of party agents at the polling centre.
The job of the card reader is in effect, to accredit voters, what it means is that during the actual voting,
only those that were duly accredited will have the opportunity of voting. The issue of manipulating the
process is drastically reduced because at a polling centre, there will be apart from the INEC staff, the
agents of the contesting political parties, the observers both local and international as well as the media.
