They said igbo aren't educated , yet the statistics from examination and professional bodies like WAEC, NECO, JAMB, NMA etc are telling us otherwise. Even the international bodies have said otherwise They said that igbo are not United, yet we have seen how the whole igbo speaking tribes fro. South east and South south stood in unison for kanu They said igbo cities aren't developed yet we have seen how Enugu was the only resilient city in Nigeria by international organisation and how Onitsha is the most built up city in Nigeria They said that igbo love money, yet we have seen the most corrupt tribes and how Kanu has said over time that he isn't interested in money They said igbo women are hairy , yet we have seen daily how fairy ladies from igbo won beauty peagants in Nigeria even globally ..Oluchi They said that igbo can't okay politics, yet we have seen igbo win political posts in many developed nations even in non igbo areas in Nigeria They said igbo are not important in the scheme of things yet we have seen how worried the mere mention of Biafra makes people. They said igbo are troubleshooters yet they have lived in peace with their cousins and neighbors in South South for centuries no war To me , as a Nigeriab, I think the best thing is to love, understand and understudy the igbo ...trully they are enigmatic and so with other tribes |

Having acted in many Nigerian movies and one of the entertainment exports the country has offer, Omoni has come to be categorised as an A list actress carting awards yet she has the ability to juggle family and career. A lesson many young girls must understand and a reference point how to be pretty even after childbirth.https://etimes.com.ng/omoni-oboli-why-some-nigerians-see-her-as-a-reference-point-for-what-ladies-should-look-like/ A mother of three young men known as Tobe, Gozi and Chizi, these men are in their teens! Making the mother an early bird. She started early and faced motherhood ! Unlike today that women would want to keep childbirth forever, Omoni realised what she wanted and faced it straight up! She knew she wanted to be a mother, every woman wants to be a mother anyway but the difference is that some are confused on when to start while others are focused on when to start and Omoni can be classified as those that are focused. She also knows that she wants to be an entertainer, playing in the movie space, she studied it anyway! She faced motherhood and today she has lovely kids with a lovely career ,still looking pretty. This has placed her on the same level with some of the finest divas in the country like Omotola, Genevieve even Mercy. Omoni has been able to demonstrate that the Nigerian woman can have the best of worlds! The Nigerian man can be a mother, a career lady and also look great even after childbirth. Childbirth isn't an excuse to go grumpy and nasty! Motherhood is a period of fine-tuning and growing with the kids , that is if you have them pretty early. She is a poster child for great motherhood. Omoni Oboli (born 22 April 1978) is a Nigerian actress, scriptwriter, film director, producer and a trained digital filmmaker. Awolowo nailed the coffin on the progress of Nigeria when he foolishly and shamelessly accepted position of Federal Commissioner of Finance from Gowon who was his sons age mates. All Awolowo achievements were negative and subjective in that era . They were -: STARVATION of 14 million Eastern Nigerians and the death from Kwashiorkor of 3million especially women and children. REPARATION against Eastern Nigerians by stealing their millions in exchange for 20pounds. INDIGENIZATION POLICY that sold blue chip companies only to his Yoruba kinsmen. They eventually crashed the companies and destroyed Nigeria industrial base. RESOURCE CONTROL removal which was at 50% by the 1963 Constitution but after tinkering by Awolowo became 0%. TREASONABLE FELONY by Awo was the first coup in Nigeria especially by a civilian and it predated the January 15, 1966 coup which was initiated to make Awolowo Prime Minister of Nigeria according to his kinsman and major coupist Major Adewale Ademoyega who wrote the book WHY WE STRUCK. OIL DECREE OF 1969 by Awolowo took away all rights to exploration of Crude and it's processing from states and made it the exclusive preserve of the Federal Government of Nigeria. TRIBAL POLITICS brought Awo to limelight. Awo broke the ranks of the NCNC to create a niche for himself by raising ethnic fears YORUBA RONU. CROSS - CARPETING without principles was invented by Awo in 1952 when he needed to steal victory from the NCNC in order for the AG to form government in Western Nigeria. POLITICAL INTOLERANCE & VIOLENT POLITICS was the trademark of Awo who engaged his erstwhile deputy SL Akintola in burning and looting of the Western region in order to asset authority. Some Jewish Traditions of Ndigbo -Jews are Igbos & Igbos are Hebrew *BIBLICAL TRADITIONS OF IGBOS BEFORE THE MISSIONARIES CAME TO AFRICA* IGBO 101. By Nwanyikaibeya Yaro *1. NSO NWANYI* In Igboland women live apart from their husbands and neither cook for them or enter their husband's quarters when they are in their period. They are seen as unclean. Even up till today such practice is still applicable in some parts of Igboland especially by the traditionalists. Before a woman can enter the palace of Obi of Onitsha, she will be asked if she is in her period, if yes, she will be asked to stay out. *Leviticus 15: 19-20* When a woman has her monthly period, she remains unclean, anyone who touches her or anything she has sat on becomes unclean. *2. ANA OBI* An Igbo man's ancestral heritage, called “Ana Obi” is not sellable, elders will not permit this. If this is somehow done due to the influence of the West the person is considered a fool and is ostracized by the community. *1 king 21:3* I inherited this vineyard from my ancestors, and the Lord forbid that I should sell it, said Naboth. *3. IKUCHI NWANYI* Igbos have practiced the taking of a late brother's wife into marriage after she had been widowed until the white men came. Now it is rarely done but except in very rural villages. *Deuteronomy 25:5* A widow of a dead man is not to be married outside the family; it is the duty of the dead man's brother to marry her. *4. IGBA ODIBO* In Igboland, there is a unique form of apprenticeship in which either a male family member or a community member will spend six(6) years (usually in their teens to their adulthood) working for another family. And on the seventh year, the head of the host household, who is usually the older man who brought the apprentice into his household, will establish (Igbo: idu) the apprentice by either setting up a business for him or giving money or tools by which to make a living. *Exodus 21:2* If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve you for six years. In the seventh year he is to be set free without having to pay you anything. *5. IRI JI OFUO* In Igboland , the yam is very important as it is their staple crop. There are celebrations such as the New yam festival (Igbo: Iri Ji) which are held for the harvesting of the yam. New Yam festival (Igbo: Iri ji) is celebrated annually to secure a good harvest of the staple crop. In the olden days it is an abomination for one to eat a new harvest before the festival. It's a tradition that you give the gods of the land first as a thanksgiving. *Deuteronomy 16:9* Count 7 weeks from the time that you begin to harvest the crops, and celebrate the harvest festival to honor the lord your God, by bringing him a freewill offering in proportion to the blessing he has given you. Celebrate in the Lord's presence together with your children, servants, foreigners. Be sure that you obey my command, said the Lord. *6. IBE UGWU* In Igboland it's a tradition that the male children are circumcised on the 8th day. This tradition is still practiced till date. *Leviticus 12:3* On the eighth day, the child shall be circumcised. *7. OMUGWO* In Igboland, there is a practice known as "ile omugwo ". After a woman has given birth to a child, a very close and experienced relative of hers, in most cases her mother is required by tradition to come spend time with her and her husband. During which she is to do all the work of the wife, while the new mom's only assignment to the baby will be to breastfeed. This goes on for a month or more. In the Igbo old tradition, at this time, the new mom lives apart from her husband, would not cook or enter his quarters. *Leviticus 12:1-4* For seven days after a woman gives birth, she is ritually unclean as she is during her monthly period. It will be 33 days until she is ritually clean from the loss of blood; she is not to touch anything that is holy. NDOZI ODINALA. |
Orchid45:That's short term....on long run they are richer |
TODAY ON SALARY: This post will make some happy, and make some unhappy. But never the less truth is always inevitable! What is a Salary? - A salary is a bribe for one to forget their dreams and ambitions. Research has it that the poorest group of people in the world is the salary earners' group, which is practically next to beggars' group. They live in a vicious cycle of poverty, managed on a 30-day duration. For them, salary is continuously being awaited every month, and any slight delay brings heartbreaking anxiety, pressure and disappointment. Salary is a short-term solution to a life time problem. Salary alone cannot solve your money problems because as your salary increase, so your expenses. Therefore you need multiple sources of income to balance. Don't live life fishing with just one hook; there are many fishes in the ocean. Salary is the MEDICINE for managing POVERTY, not for CURING it. Only your BUSINESS or INVESTMENT can cure it. If you do not have 3 months salary in savings, you are already poor. And to confirm that, ask someone who his/her salary have been delayed for two weeks and know how much credit he have on ground to settle. Remaining a salary earner is a mentality, And you can break It! Your worth is far more than just your salary. Salary is the value someone has put on your efforts. How much do you value yourself? You can't increase in value, unless you value yourself differently. Life is a trade off between time, effort and reward, to be rewarded more, you have to become more valuable. Most salary earners end up poor in the long and short term. I therefore urge every one of us to be FINANCIALLY INTELLIGENT, FINANCIALLY LITERATE, and OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE OPPORTUNITIES IN PROBLEMS. Delve into entrepreneurship, start a side business/investment to sustain yourself and your family because salary is a lifetime disappointment. Being a salary earner or investor is a decision. And life will not change until you decide. Dont allow the company you work for, or even government to design your future. So make the move! "Salary remains a bribe to forget one's dreams and ambitions". I'm very sorry, but even if truth is bitter it must be revealed. Thank you #Salary #TheTruthRevealed #By #YusufNagogo |
