Ncube: Hi Guy's.
Really need your advice, I have been driving a Peugeot 406 for the last 6yrs & I plan to upgrade to a Benz.
My friend advised I go for the 2005 Mercedes e350. Problem is I have heard a lot of frightening stories about the Benz, some say it has high cost of maintenance & that the fuel consumption is high but the most scary are the cost of spare parts.
Though I am a complete novice when it comes to Benz, I must confess I am already madly in love with the e350.
Please advise. buy a good one and that is what they said to us when we started off high fuel, blablabla....if you can do a C class great but E Class is okay ..if you can maintain Peugeot which is an European car you can do for Benz...always buy original parts and let Benz mechanic fix your cars it's a good ride! my friend drives one...S Class? mbanu but e Class is okay ....lots of swag in that |

bizzle2: You didn't answer my question though. What features does the MDX offer that you cannot find on an ML550 of equivalent year? not a GLK , C Class or an ML 350. But a 550 specifically ? That lends a better perspective to your opinion.
The Advance , Tech , Entertainment , Navigation and Sport Packages on the MDX have just minor differences that mainly cater to certain comfort and entertainment priorities. Mine is a Tech Package.
I believe to objectively compare two cars requires more than just saying A is better than B (which is largely personal opinion), the idea would be to say WHY & HOW A is better than B .
If design figures and test ratings show that the 550 betters the MDX in the categories I mentioned earlier, HOW then does the MDX better the 550 ? I'm very open to learning. I'm a big MDX fan remember. But a spade is a spade. I don't own a workshop or fix cars but my background is in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Tech Engineering Option specifically). Even though my love for cars has nothing to do with that. intelligent questions....I love this.... let's learn , I rarely comment again but I learn a whole lot here ! |

bizzle2: Lose alot of what? Lol, I beg to differ. Features like what ? The MDX is anything but feature packed. As far as value for money and fun driving go I cannot fault her, but advance tech? Mba. The 550 blows her out of the water.
I'm not even trying to compare the 2013 MDX to the 2013 ML550. they're not in the same class if you ask me. I'm just looking for hands on experience with owning a 550 locally. Which I consider an upgrade from the MDX.
Interior styling/ luxury and exterior styling - 550 wins Performance - 550 wins Crash/ Safety ratings - 550 wins Advanced Tech features - 550 wins Handling - both great Fuel economy - A V8 Biturbo cannot possibly be expected to have the same as a naturally aspirated V6. More power mens more energy consumption. The 550 doesn't even do too badly in comparison to the MDX
Reliability and local availability of parts are my primary concern about the 550 apt...you just captured it MDX,well I haven't driven a 550, that is a dream SUV maybe AMG it brabus ...so I cannot talk about it and I don't like all these online reviews! most are biased look for person that have driven it life and he would advise you...I do that on many cars that I want to buy! |

chukel: this is from your wikipedia. Just don't argue this. You can't have a 2004 ml320. If you do, then check your car well. Something is wrong somewhere. Either a wrong badge or transplanted engine. okay...would do! but I know the differences ...the first model of 320 has is smaller maybe 1999 - 2000 with only airbags by the front door in a plastic casing with dash while the 2001 - 2003 version has airbags in all the doors and heated seats which isn't available (maybe ) and the door mats of this model is leather and the back windscreen can be opened... then I have seen the last model that have the same side mirow with 350,the only difference is that the. AC knobs have chrome or silver linings and the tailgate can be opened from the inside and it has speakers at the side. mireow side (which the. previous models don't have ) and cones with 3 row seat ( still 320) maybe ...they are same. year or they are different Trims...I will look out but the later models have Tiptronic gears and also airbags on all the doors which is pure leather (mine have it ) but I would do research anyway ....we learn |

MASTAkiLLAh: This talk about ML’s from early 2000’s made me remember my old ml500 sport (which was very reliable by the way) so I decided to do a research on that baby once more (anything 350 or 500) and edmunds.com had glowing user reviews while carsurvey had a lot of tears. I kept wondering, aren’t these sites using the same mostly American public as reviewers ? One thing edmunds reviewers agreed on though is that the gas mileage on the ML is atrocious (debatable). I really miss that baby though, one of my best driving experience ever, very responsive and built like a tank. Gazzuzz posted some ML pics a while back and I remembered my shalaye days, I just might go back if I see a great offer. |

proeast: The reason why the Niger Delta is in a mess is because the people can't think critically. The oil is drilled in their villages and they suffer all the collateral damages yet others in faraway places are the ones enjoying the proceeds.
How many of them even own oil wells? East West road is still in terrible condition but not only has the federal government repaired those in other zones, they've now advanced to the level of building rails and other infrastructures.
Ordinary headquarters of the oil companies that are drilling the oil are not even in the Niger Delta, instead they're in other places paying huge taxes to those state government, employing the indigenes of those places while they continue to suffer as their farmlands are polluted, streams polluted, air polluted and when rain falls, it baths them with acid rain
They keep shouting our oyel this, Igbo that, while afonjas and abo.kis cart everything away.
Ndi eriri eri my dear sometimes I ask if they are. mentally stable...they are just too dense and slow ....look at Bayelsa how dirty it looks ...look at PH 80% pigsty with ancient houses very compacted ...look at Uyo..all roads but No houses of repute yet they produce oil and their people suffer... I have never seen a backward thinking people in my life especially the non Igbo areas (ikwerre included because many Igbo don't consider them Igbo ) |

lucasalves: And where exactly is the number 1 destination of igbos? do you see anyone trooping into Igboland? infact for every Igbo living in the East, there are 3 living in Lagos alone not to talk of other places.
Have you ever had to accommodate foreigners in your region as much as Lagos? (without kidnapping them). So don't even try to paint a picture of Yorubas as unaccommodating when the opposite is the case, if anything Yorubas are too accommodating, numbers don't lie the SW region has the highest number of non indigenes living in it without threat of violence against any sect.
Try and go to the North and you will know you are talking in the rubbish. If dem no use you do suya, you dey lucky, if your place was accommodating why don't we see people going there in droves, instead that same Lagos crowd keep receiving you ingrates with open arms. You can't change reality, and you won't be half of whatever you think you are without that Lagos crowd. Destination master keep rantings |

jneutron4000: You are still not making any sense, how will you proof that Nigeria has got human capital when your country is a shithole you want to build roads, bridges etc you have to either bring the Chinese or Germans to build it for you and you are claiming Nigeria has human capital, hahaha you are very funny. Do not get me wrong, there are individual Nigerians with human capital and western countries appreciate them and " brain drained" Nigeria by granting them visa and stay permit, for the instance the Nigeria doctors UK wanted them to come during the peak of covid 19 when the NHS was stressed, despite the fact that inbound and outbound flight was suspended, the UK still wanted to find a way to take them in. If you go back to my previous response to you, i explained that countries want skilled migrants or migrants that will invest into their economy and not economic migrants that will bleed their economy, and make life harder for them, If the Ibos are impacting the Ghanians economy positively, am sure the government will not be stupid to lock their shops. On the example you stated that Russian will not chase out Polish or Cezch out, why will Russian do that, those two countries are developed and they have proven that they have human capital. Why did Donald Trump said that people from Norwey and other European countries should be allowed in and people from some poor Africa countries and middle east should be banned from coming in, because Norwegians have gat money and human capital. Me now as a Yoruba man, i do not mind people from Americans, Canadians, Japan and Europe (excluding the conny English whose aim is to steal) come in to Yoruba land because i know they will most likely to bring in money and brain to shape and develop the Yoruba land and actually, i will like to deport and ask Fulanis terrorizing yorubas in their farm land and ibos selling fake drugs and doing criminal activities in our town and cities to leave Yoruba land. Nigeria has the capacity just that we African don't have the believe that ours is good Beside that...Russia and Poland aren't developed nations they are still 2nd world while we arw3rd world |
