People generally tend to run away from Mathematics a lot. To most students, it is their greatest enemies. Even people doing Mathematical courses like Engineering,Physics and Computer science still run away from it. I think something has to be done to simplify this branch of knowledge and also to encourage young people to study and embrace it.....What makes Mathematics different from other subjects. I am just wondering what makes Mathematics so different from any other subjects. Why do students avoid it in school despite the much value placed on it? What is your opinion? I hated Mathematics when I was in School.I always understand in class when the teacher is teaching, but on getting home I dont understand it again. Can you share your experience? Remember this picture of a girl thanking a guy for giving her 10,000CFA after a good f**k. The picture went viral, with a lot of people coming out to condemn the girl. Well, it seems the picture was edited and the girl never said such. The evil culprit behind this very expensive prank, a student of North American University, Benin, with the twitter username Eche_david has come out to apologize and exonerate the girl of any wrong doing. See what he wrote after the cut For goodness sake, don't people know how powerful the internet is Must everything be a joke? I can't imagine what the innocent girl must have been facing these past four days since the photo became an internet sensation. Seriously, this is evil. Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) has defended the manner the national publicity secretary, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Olisa Metuh was treated when he appeared for his trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja in Handcuffs on Tuesday, January 19. Olisa Metuh is alleged to have received N400m, part of the money meant for the procurement of arms, from the Office of the National Security Adviser in November 2014. According to the NPS, putting handcuffs was at the discretion of the prison officer, who supervised his courtappearance. The spokesperson for the NPS, Francis Enobore, who gave the clarification in a phone conversation with The Punch dismissed allegations by the PDP that the service mistreated Metuh all in a bid to play out a script orchestrated by President Muhammadu Buhari. He said: “Handcuffing an inmate is at the discretion of the officer in-charge, depending on the security situation, the environment and intelligence report available to the officer. Sometimes they look at the atmosphere and take the necessary decision. “If you suspect that the atmosphere, security-wise, may not be conducive to the inmates in your custody, you can use handcuffs; to avoid a situation where you have to start telling stories, you use your discretion to study the environment and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the inmates in your custody. “Remember that we not only try to secure the inmate from escaping, we equally provide protection for the inmate. The officer in-charge must ensure that the life of the inmate is not jeopardised. It is the officer in-charge of the escort that studies the security environment and takes the decision to use handcuffs.” Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, January 20 adjourned its ruling on an application filed by the national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh. At the hearing today, the judge over the case, Okon Abang ruled that the respondents were still within time to file their reply briefs and therefore the matter was not ripe for hearing. He adjourned the case to Monday, January 25. Source:www.naij.com/702664-handcuffed-olisa-metuh-nigeria-prisons-service.html. CC Seun Lalasticlala Mynd44 OAM4J

So Blackface is back and we are glad but he surprised us all when he called out wizkid in his new video, KILLAH that he released yesterday. . . He says wizkid stole his lyrics and he is a copycat and he is ready to send him and other copycats to the cemetery. He said; ‘Why Wizkid try me steal melody, dey copycat, na me get energy, me burn them me send them to the cemetery’. . . I don’t know why people like looking for trouble oo, especially knowing young acts of this generation have really bad mouths. . . . These photos were shared on Twitter yesterday but I refused to believe it was a wedding ceremony so I didn't believe it...but someone just sent me the photos with details. The guy is supposedly named Baba Ahmed and on Sunday Jan. 17th, he paid the bride price of this 8 year old girl in Zaria, Kaduna. But I was told that she won't be moving to his house until she is 17. The little girl probably has no idea what is happening, probably thinks it's her birthday. CC Lalasticlala. Source: www.wilfredasuquo.com/2016/01/unbelievable-8-year-old-girl-allegedly.html?m=1

A year after the war against the Ebola virus, the media sphere is buzzing with recent news of the Lassa fever epidemic and its official death toll of 41 Nigerians. Our federal government has assured citizens of its commitment to containing and eventually wiping out the illness, earmarking a substantial sum of N140 million for this purpose. Affected states in Nigeria as of date include Bauchi, Nasarawa, Niger, Taraba, Kano, Rivers, Edo, Plateau, Gombe and Oyo. Important facts about Lassa fever include: 1. Definition: Lassa fever is an acute viral disease caused by the Lassa virus which belongs to the arenavirus virus family. 2. Origin: It was first discovered in Nigeria in 1969 after the unexpected death of two missionary nurses. 3. Location The disease is primarily predominant in West Africa – Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. 4. Animal host: The multimammate rodent species is the only known carrier of the virus, and it is mostly found in West Africa. 5. Number of deaths: Approximately 5,000 deaths have occurred in the region because of the disease with approximately 100,000 to 300,000 infections. 6. How humans are infected: This takes place through various means including contact with multimammate rodent excretions (urine and droppings) or food items containing them, inhaling particles in the air with these excretions and thirdly, the consumption of rodent meat. 7. Symptoms: These usually become visible 1-3 weeks after infection. They include yellowing of eyes, vomiting, headaches, etc. 8. Treatment: The disease is treatable with the antiviral drug, Ribavrin, which is considered most effective when given at the early stages of the disease infection. 9. Prevention: Homes should be thoroughly fumigated and food items covered to prevent contamination. Eating of rodent meat (as bush meat) should also be prohibited. Share this post to save a life!. 1. ABDULRASHEED MAINA, the maelstrom that sucked up N195 billion pension fund has escaped out of the country to enjoy his loot in a small Island because the rule of law provided a cover for him to go for medical treatment which he never returned for trial. 2. FAROUK LAWAN demanded for.$3million bribe. The rule of law invoked his fundamental human rights, he got away with it till today and the trial is dead. 3.MOHAMMED ABACHA has a case of N446 billion on his neck, the rule of law guarantees he walks free and enjoy his loot to the fullest. Nothing has been heard of the matter till today. 4.$6 billion fuel subsidy scandal has been swept under the carpet and all the criminals that shared this loot are walking free because of so call rule of law. 5. PETER ODILI Looted and plundered Rivers State Treasury To the tune of $500 million and the rule of law protected and gave him an everlasting immunity from prosecution or arrest by EFCC so that the man can be left in peace to enjoy his loot. 6. DAN ETETE and his gangs of seven or more thieves shared $1.1 billion in celebrated Malabu oil scandal. The rule of law ensured that they walked free and have all relocated from Nigeria. 7. ABUBAKAR KIGO and his gang of five, stole almost N33billion police pension fund, the rule of law gave them a pat on the wrist, 2 years jail term and N750,000 fine. 8. STEVE ORONSANYE, the former head of service for the federation was found culpable in mismanaging and diverting N123 billion and the rule of law has made sure that the matter never sees the light of the day. 9. SAMBO DASUKI, after mismanaging, looting, diverting and sharing $2.1 billion arms purchase money to his friend and cronies is asking to be let out to travel abroad for medical treatment because the rule of law guarantees him that privilege. A trip if he allowed to make will ensure he never returns to dis country to face trial. . . 10.The PDP and lovers of corruption are asking and demanding for the release of Olisa Metuh from EFCC detention because the rule of law guarantees him freedom for corruptly enriching himself. Olisa Metuh, a man who collected over N400 million of arms purchase money for his personal enjoyment on the detriment of our soldiers and innocent Nigerians who are killed daily by boko haram. These criminals still enjoy their loot why many workers could not get their salaries... . In whose interest does the RULE OF LAW serve! My question - the RULE OF LAW is it for rich man alone? In a shocking move, the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) has mandated all its officers to declare their assets. Officers of Nigerian Custom Service According to a press release signed by the paramilitary public relations officer, Wale Adeniyi, all officers of the NCS are to make full disclosure of their assets in a new measure put in place to push transparency and compliance with the rule of law. “The directive on Assets Declaration is contained in a Circular, signed by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hammed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) and addressed to all Deputy Comptrollers-General, Zonal Coordinators and Customs Area Controllers. All Officers are to comply with the directive within 14 days,” the statement reads in part. According to the statement, the directive on assets declaration is in compliance with the bank employees declaration of assets Act Cap B1 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. READ ALSO: Biafra To Sue For Damages As Nigeria Runs Away From US Court (Photos) Though the Act provides for Asset Declaration by all Bank employees, it also empowers the President to extend its application to other categories of persons. “Specifically, section 12 (1) states that “The provision of this Act shall apply to the Comptroller-General, Deputy Comptroller-General, Assistant Comptroller-General, Chief Collector, Principal Collector and other Officer, Staff or employee of the Nigeria Customs Service as the apply to a Chief Executive or an employee of a Bank”. The statement added that the Comptroller-General observed that many Officers have not complied with the provisions of the act over the years, stating that the 14-day ultimatum for compliance will be strictly enforced. Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may seek extradition of Abdullahi Dikko, the former comptroller-general of Nigeria Customs Service , from Dubai if he fails to honour its invitation this week. .
