Among those who lampooned the Nigeria Police for the one-sided arrest and parade, are chieftain of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo; former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olabode George; former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele; former Minister of Transport, Chief Ebenezer Babatope; and the Yoruba Youth Socio-Cultural Association, YYSA.

We began to suspect foul play since those who were arrested for an offence allegedly committed in Ife were being bundled up to Abuja for nothing but sheer intimidation because we don’t believe it is proper to charge anybody in Abuja for a crime allegedly committed in Ife.”

Lagos is too congested anyway. It is good you are thinking home. Hopefully more people will follow suit. Unfortunately up until this morning, hundreds of buses are still dropping people all over south west and returning back to the east almost empty, to bring in more people the following day.
