@bolded, i'm so disappointed with you.

So you are still fixed in believing that Chino is Igbo let alone from Anambra? Even if he is Anambra, do you think everybody in his village acts like him or agree with him? Let alone people in his town, let alone every Anambra person?

Na real wah for some of you people. Your fickle mind is waay too small to live in the modern Igboland that is unfolding and will not have those borders of Anambra, Imo or Ebonyi.

Soon Nigeria will have NO choice but to restructure and we will eventually drop all the silly artificial state borders created by military regimes. We shall have one highly developed SE region + Anioma. We shall have one governor, one parliament, One deputy President to represent us in Abuja, One IG of Police, etc. Once Nigeria restructures, the federating units will naturally revert to 6 regions with minor boundary adjustments to allow people belong to the region they prefer.

One thing I have come to realize is that some people just hate Anambra people, in their little mind they think they can stop a moving train. What Chino is not the reason they Anambra, they just don't like us even before they joined Nairaland.

What you just stated here is exactly why i asked the question. I've never lived in Asaba but i come across people from that axis a lot and even those who lived kost of their lives tend to be more Pro pidgin english than Igbo.

I know Asaba very well, they tend to speak their dialect of Igbo to themselves but they don't respond when asked questions in central Igbo. Even in their schools Igbo language is not taught. Their old women blow pidgin like they are at Ughelli, their youths blow pidgin too due to the influx of non indigenes within the state.

Asaba though an Igbo city but not Igbocentric. The Asagba of Asaba is pro Igbo but the youth of Asaba that are suppose to be breathing life into Asaba Igbo heritage are not interested, Igbo is not commonly spoken by the indigenes, even their old women love pidgin and their youths dont like communicating in Igbo.

Asaba is not an Igbocentric, the consciousness is not there.
Afam4eva:

How Igbocentric is Asaba? Does one hear Igbo being spoken like one would in Enugu or Awka?

Then where is the home of the Igbo race if not Aguleri? Yoruba are very united today because they all claim one origin and one home town which are Oduduwa and Ile Ife but, only Igbo will claim multiple origins and different places of origin and you expect our next generation not to be more confused than us due to multiple histories.

So we should keep quiet just for unity, if tomorrow another clannish governor like Obiano emerged and decide to support traditional from his hometown we will allow the lie to be sold for peace to reign. Call a spade by its name, what Obaino is doing is very very wrong, nobody knows Aguleri and it's fictitious claims of holding ofo Igbo until Obaino came to scene and Started empowering warrant Chiefs in his hometown.

ANSMEDIA:
Having traced their roots to Igboland via DNA, Ten African Americans/Canadian of Igbo Ancestry were inducted as our brothers and sisters, issued with Igbo names and allocated plots of land for residence during the 2018Eri Festival.

Obiano is working tirelessly to make sure history is rewrote. Now he is directing all traffic to Aguleri. The last time he shared N20m to Anambra traditional rulers Aguleri got N100 because they have 5 different traditional rulers, from Idigo to Chukwuemeka Eri to other warrant Chiefs.

Now they are telling the world Nri is inferior to them, Anambra State government is now sponsoring Chukwuemeka Eri to tour USA and the Caribbean in the name of being aka ji ofo Igbo.

When I said I dislike Obaino because of his clannish disposition many thinks I'm just being political. Obaino is educated version of Buhari, his Aguleri people first before others.
They have forced ABS to be airing documentary that Aguleri is the home of the progenitor of the Igbo race, Nri have been discarded, Igboukwu where the evidence was unearthed have been discarded... Now Aguleri is the new home of Igbos.

Obaino should know he is not ruling forever, and as long as majority Igbos are concern Aguleri is not the home of the Igbo race, Obaino and his band of Aguleri noisemakers should continue with their folly.

There is nothing wrong with businessmen entering politics but they always put up mediocre performances. The same way Peter obi was a failure in government. All they think about is how to make excessive profits from that political business without striving to leave real development behind. Okoroawusa is another example.

This is impressive but it's also very disturbing. I doubt if there are areas map out for parks and gardens in this expansive neighbourhood. The government will sit back and watch this turn to another Lagos. The roads must the narrow like typical Anambra roads, no zones for business parks and recreational activities, everything is built up from East to West.

Will you apologize to the government if this turn out to be the Umuleri International airport?

Apology my black assssss. You guys have run away with serial fraudulent promises in Anambra State like completion of projects during election only to abandon them. Your government need to apologize to us for being fraudulent and deceptive.

Out of 5 major projects of economic importance only one way shabbily completed after 5 uninterrupted years and unparalleled goodwill.

I know how Obaino e-urchins behave, if the projects is a serious one the entire country would have known like the flyovers in Oka was commissioned 12 times on social media and 6 times by the governor. Even the unending Agulu Lake Hotel completion have more pictures and videos online than already in use facilities across the world.

Bridges / road bridges inside the city.
(No need to post satellite images)

1. Trans Ekulu bridge
2. Zik Avenue Bridge
3. Enugu international trade fair complex bridge
4. Nza road bridge New haven
5. Abakpa bridge
6.Iva Valley bridge
7. Emene bridge (Old abakaliki road bridge)
8. Many more colonial era bridges still exist inside the city.

Some of these handles arguing about Enugu not having flyovers could be one individual debating himself with different handles. grin grin grin grin grin

I don't think a reasonable human being will write on a public forum without intending being mischievous that Enugu doesn't have flyovers, common who beget there miscreants grin grin grin grin grin grin

Not only thieves, there should be honor also among miscreants

To me, planting trees in those places you mentioned is not the main problem, the main problem is nonavailability of space to plant the trees. If you check out the streets in those areas in mentioned, you will discover that fences are too close to the gutters thereby limiting the available space to plant trees, most main road medians are covered with cement not open soil and no street has a median were trees can be planted. Fences have to be pulled down for trees to be planted and the government will step on many toes if it decides to pull down people's fences.

It's all lies and excuse to justify incompetency.
The four areas inside the upper Iweka interchange have scanty trees planted there and they don't produce enough oxygen to balance the human activities around the upper Iweka axis.

On the hand is Eastern Academy, look at the school and see how bare it is, the school is so arid and dry that you think Sahara desert is encroaching on the land. Why can't trees be planted in the school.

Opposite the school is Toronto Hospital with little or no trees, why don't Anambra State government mandate areas like this to plant trees like Lagos is doing.

Now the stretch from down flyover to Moore Street have no single tree, if Obi and Obiano were human enough they would know that the road need to be dualized continuing from the flyover, they will plant trees in the middle like Rochas would have done.

From Relief Market to Obosi flyover is bare, the park Obi built before Tiger Industry, dude covered everywhere with concrete, no trees and no buildings, the intensity of the sun there na die.

From Obodoukwu Road to Uga Junction, the place is so disgusting not just with bad road but dirts, if Anambra State government is a little bit serious like the e-urchins make us to believe, they would have give so road facelift.

The show of shame Obiano did at DMGS roundabout, if Obiano have an eye for aesthetism Oguta Road, Awka Road would be dualized and trees planted in the maiden to compliment the roundabout. He went there dump the tacky job and start making his usual noise

Obiano is one of the serial fraudulent politicians we have in Nigeria. If any project is going on there his media urchins in facebook will sleeping in the site daily and be updating when a bag of cement is opened.

Onitsha have a long way to go in having a decent environment. Awada, Nkpor and Woliwo look like Agadez and Timbuktu.

The interchange at Upper Iweka need to be massively planted with trees because of human activities in that particular area. Even the way people cross the high way in Anambra State shows slot need to be done

Igbo men won't even touch an average Yoruba woman even a stick, though they could be hardworking but they lack communal and personal hygiene.
Yorubas don't understand family as a unit and it's rubbing on them daily, their women have kids out of wedlock which to them is normal. Their men don't mind sleeping with the wife's cousin and younger sister as the same night and still flaunt love children he got three different women.

Yeah, of course there are so many big and good hotels in Onitsha especially at Fed housing, 3-3, GRA, Trans- Nkisi etc. There is another big hotel they just completed at Park avenue opposite Onitsha mall. They should speed up the one started by the last regime beside shoprite. There is another big one inside GRA being developed now. We need even more because of the volume of business in here is quite much.

wow i love this, Onitsha need them, the capital flight to Asaba is painful. Obiano should stop using our money to drink expensive liqours and complete the Onitsha Hotel, i dont know why this guy is so erratic and untrustworthy. If completed Onitsha Hotell And Convention Center will open a new vista in the socio-economic landscape of Anambra State,i wonder why Obiano the self-styled economist cant see this

You see the problem with your people? You don't want to pay tax, you want to be rich while the government is poor.

I didn't say tax I said overtaxation.
How can you explain to a sane person that a cab that load at Berger and charged the passenger 2k with pay 800 to union and others as tax. Danfo drivers pay more than 10times daily once they stop at any bus stop along Apapa -Oshodi Expressway.

Taxation in Lagos is insane but you don't see what they are being put into, no public water supply, you pay vigilante every month, you pay NEPA, you pay for yours refuse to be disposed by agbokis because the LAWMa has collapsed, you pay all manner of insane taxes, infact small businesses in Lagos don suffer, the hawakers are not left out.

Anambra State should reduce the transaction of government businesses with physical cash, all the miscreants should be shoot out of the streets.

God forbid, Anambra State shouldn't emulate Lagos except in tree planting and other environmental intervention schemes.

Look at the so called "Chino" and so called "abagworo" style of writing and it the same! Yet, they are purportedly mortal enemies.
Truth is that it is the same person ! He is so bitter about "Ibo" progress and he is using what he thinks are "Fault lines" in Igbo unity to pretend he is doing e-war to defend Anambra against Imo and vice versa. When you see how some Anambra guys occasionally lash out against him, you will know they are not comfortable at all with some of his statements about their state.

Do you the despicable and disgusting thing about the character, he so much love Anambra State but when Yorubas insult the state he keep a straight face but will transfer the aggression towards an innocent Igbo person.

He doesn't defend his beloved Anambra State against external aggressors but internal frictions.

This Okija IPP that we only read on the pages of newspapers and blogs.

TundeBricklayer:
Century Power is building a modular power plant in Okija, Anambra State. The company plans to commence with a 465 megawatts (MW) module that would be scaled up ultimately to 2,000mw. A number of companies are already lining up to be hooked up to the power plant. In addition to building the power plant, the company also plans to build a 65 kilometers power pipeline that would be probably the first and only gas pipeline into the eastern part of Nigeria. The pipeline, which the company said would cost about $200 million, is going to be built from the OB3 pipeline, which is east to West in the Delta. The company said it would tap gas from that pipeline to Okija.
The company said the pipeline would support the power plant and would also supply gas that would be piped into the eastern region. “Imagine all the industries in the eastern part of the country that has no gas. Suddenly that opens up the opportunity for them to be more efficient by using gas instead of the generators and other methods of power supply that they get,” said Mr. Simeon Tor-Agbidye, Assistant General Manager, Group Business Development, Nestoil Limited.
