You spoke well.... But the process is looking fair so far (from an insiders perspective). The odd is very high, especially for BSc holders... Many BSc applicants did not show up... The recruitment is per LGA so the odd is very high.
The way some of you conclude that a certain number of people didn't show up.

78,000 was shortlisted. If 20,000 people didn't show up, you have 50,000 people competing for about 4,500 places.

Stop making it look like a few people wrote the exams.

It is still very competitive. Comments like this is what will make people scream connection when they don't finally make it because they read somewhere that many people didn't show up.

Congrats to those that wrote this exam. But please don't put ur mind too much into this. Remember that NIS only need 4500 out of 75000 that were invired for d exams. Without sure connection ur chances of getting this job is extremely low. I remembered my NNPC experience, after writing exam, I got lucky to be invited for interview and I was like maybe God is indeed marvelous and he will rly help a poor struggling guy, I was wrong, after waiting more than 8 months with intense fasting and prayer, I wasn't picked, I had d knife in my hand and I was a sec from suicide. So please don't put too much mind to it, in fact cancel ur mind from it and go about ur normal duty. At the end if u get the job consider urself extremely lucky and remember, nothing is fair about this recruitment, u will never see ur test score and names and application numbers will be massively swapped for those with sure connect. This naija, even if dey say it will be fair don't deceive urself into believing it is fair. Good luck
I am sure if NNPC choose you, you won't type this thing about them swapping names massively.
Lol. I am yet to understand why my application was declined.
A graduate with 7 years experience in security /administration.
Human Resources Certification.
Project Management Certification.
International Leadership certification.
Organisational Behaviour Certification all sent to them.
A graduate of History and Diplomatic Studies

I doubt if they really went through all the applications.
Was told by someone that this stuff has been concluded months back cos her uncle work hers for her. Didn't believe it, but I am beginning to believe it now.

We moveeeee. Congrats to the successful applicants and wish you all best of luck[/quote

Just stop!

Nigerians are fond of doing this when they miss out on something. So because you think you are qualified, you must be shortlisted? These are entry level jobs. All your years of experience doesn't matter.

Don't try to make a mockery of the process because you were not shortlisted.

Now you are telling us a cock and bill story about someone who used connection.

Jus move on. Many people applied for this job without knowing anyone and they were shortlisted.

My wife's brother lives in South Korea. He is married to a South Korean woman for about 4 years now.b

My wife's mother was able to attend their wedding. They applied to the embassy and we're granted a three months visa.

My wife and I have been looking at options to relocate.

I know we can easily get a tourist visa because her brother is a legal resident there.

But is South Korea a good place for one to live and work?

Aside the factory..does it mean blacks can't find good professional jobs?

Is it easy to get a work visa even though one entered via a tourist visa?

Good morning all.

Wify is in her ninth week. Did progesterone test. She had 57ng/ml which is within limit.

She has had a miscarriage before.

Waiting for the 12th week so she can start antenatal.

Doctor says that's when she will be allowed to see a gyneacologist.

Still hope to get information from mamas who have used Newgate hospital Ikorodu ad general hospital Ikorodu.

Planning to register her in both hospital. Or better choose one.

Thanks.

Ikorodu general hospital is the best for me. I used it for my first and hoping to use it again.

First timers are required to go very early on Thursday for Orientation where they will be told everything they need to know about antenatal and delivery.
After which they'll do the HIV and other test . Furthermore, they'll know about the 5 in 1 test, payment to be made & others.
Happy bumping to your wife.
Thank you

Good morning mamas and papas..

Has anyone used ikorodu general hospital for ante natal and child birth?

Please I would love to know their procedures and if it's a good hopistal for a first time mum.

Secondly any Private hospital around ibese to ikorodu garage will be appreciated.

Tried a few but their services are nothing to write home about..

Wify will be 9 weeks next week.

Plan to register for ante natal by 12 weeks.

Thank you.

Welcome and congratulations to you once again.
Previous miscarriage and long TTC means you have to start antenatal immediately (even if you're under HMO that insists on 12 weeks, you can be seeing your gyne for checkup prior to the 12th week mark)..she might need progesterone support depending on the cause of the previous miscarriage.
She might also need pelvic rest (no sex) and avoiding strenuous activities as precautionary measures.
Hope she has started on her prenatals....especially folic acid.
If you are a Christian, send me a dm and I'd forward you a copy of supernatural childbirth book.
Thank you.

Good morning everyone.

I was directed here from the other thread.

Wify just got bfp. She is six weeks gone.

We have been ttcing for four years.

She had a miscarriage once at six weeks and later did a fibroid surgery in November 2018.

Please can someone enlighten me on how things are done here so I can follow up.

I intend to be here throughout this journey so I can get information that will help us get through this.

We planned to register her for antenatal at 12 weeks.

Thanks for all you are doing here.

Congratulations to you and your wife.

Please do not wait until she's 12 weeks to register for ANC.

I will advice that she stay off stressful jobs/ chores especially ones that entails bending and squatting.

Register her in a good hospital that specialises on mother and child care services.

Encourage her to stay away from sugar and baked foods.

One thing I do often is to SPEAK TO MY UNBORN CHILD.

She'll be fine and it will end in praise in Jesus name.

NB: As a mum with high risk pregnancy( Huge masses of fibroid ); I constantly have to rest; watch comedy / movies that relaxes my mind, meditate and pray.
Relax! God no go shame you!
.

Thank you

A big congratulations to you & your wifey, it shall end in praise, but in the main time you don’t have to wait till it’s 12weeks before starting antenatal since you have a history of miscarriage. You never can tell, a progesterone drug might be needed to help sustain the pregnancy, I started taking progesterone from the 5th week. You can still wait for other mamas advice, I’m still a novice though
Thanks.

Congratulations on your BFP and welcome to this thread.

Here, we support and look out for each other.
There is nothing much about how things are done here, just ask any question bothering you or bring any concern you like to share here and mamas and papas with experience in regards to your question will answer.

You can also contribute to any question or concern you know something about.

You also need to identify with your month team mates and register with the captain, roll calls are taken once in a while to check up on you and ask how you are fairing. You should be team MAY 2021 if I am correct, I'm not sure if they have a Cappo yet.
Just follow up and you will get a hang of things.

I will advice that you see a doctor and let your wife start antenatal soon.
I wish you and your wife a happy and healthy pregnancy and a supernatural delivery.
Thank you. She actually saw a doctor. Told her she is fine and should come back to register for antenatal when she is 12 weeks gone.

Mommdav:
My dear it's best you use both at the same time. It works faster and better that way. If you can't afford wobenzym then use just serrapeptase. It better than nothing.

But pls do not use yi mu cao and xi xian cao right after surgery. There is a reason we don't use them after ovulation when actively trying. Use after two months please. Do not use any herbs or tea before this time, especially when it causes contraction. Vitex causes contraction too, so pls don't use two weeks after a serious operation like a myomectomy.

Sorry for responding late. Been very busy and lazy to come here.

Congratulations to the newly pregnant mamas and their dh. Healthy and happy pregnancy to you all in Jesus name. Please work with your doctor for progesterone injection or tabs. Eat healthy too. There are soups/spices/leaf/fruits that pregnant women should stay away from. Please play save and avoid them for this period. Nine months will soon be over and you can eat whatever you like.
Is it every woman that needs the progesterone injection or tablet? What informs it's need.

Secondly what kind of food or soups should a newly pregnant woman wvoid.?

I don't know if you can remember me.

I have been following the thread when I can.

I thought you should know.

Wify finally got bfp last month.

She is currently 6 weeks pregnant.

After the surgery in November 2018. It took almost 2 years before she finally conceived.

I pray that all of us will share our testimonies when we least expect it.

quote author=ananne post=77169021]

It is well with you ma. I share your pain because I understand perfectly what you are going through.

My wife had a miscarriage two weeks after our wedding. Since then its one issue or the other. She had hormonal imbalance. While tackling the issue, we discovered that her fibroid has grown bigger and will require surgery. She told me about the fibroids before we got married. We trued checking her tubes only to be told about the blockage. The gynaecologist said it was as a result of the fibroids. It wasn't easy. We did the fibroid surgery in November. Did flushing of the tubes last month. Prior to the surgery, she hardly saw her cervical mucus during ovulation .....but it started to show after the surgery. Now we are trying hoping that soon she will be pregnant.

I told my wife that she has nothing to worry about. We are in this together. I was checked and everything is okay with me. To boost her confidence I will go for another sperm test this month to show her that we will get there together.

Its draining financially. I pray that God will bless you and your hubby so you guys can go through the process. You will have your baby.

I am happy your husband is supportive. I weep for women who have husbands that don't care and subject them to all kinds of emotional torture and abuse.

Worry less, be thankful. Hopefully things will work out well.

My marriage will be three years this year. But I have resolved that I will never bother my wife about kids till its God's time.

Encouraged her to go back to school and on Wednesday by God's grace she will be graduating from university of Lagos with an MBA.

so cheer up. Everything will be fine.

I hope this encourage you.

To all the men on this platform whose wife is trying to get pregnant. They need our total support. What these women go through isn't easy. They need less blames, accusations and emotional torture.

Being supportive, showing concern and being there for them will make them prepared for a life of uncertainty. Don't add to their pain with your tantrums.

Finally get tested as well so you can be sure you are not the problem. Many of us erroneously believe every fertility issue is a woman's problem.

I remain a silent observer here.

Thanks to all our contributors. God bless you all.
