Chidimmamj:We have almost the same profile. Can we relate so we can help each other with the Alberta PNP. Administrative assistant is one of the NOCs they picked most this year. I hope it remains the same next year. Send me a PM let's exchange numbers... We can exchange information about Alberta. |
Please when is the e-exam ending? I want to go to my study center on Friday to collect my notification of result. I want to be sure that I will be attended to. |
Good morning guys.. Congratulations to all those who got their PPRs and ITAs today. Please do you know anyone who works with dangote cement Lagos who had gotten reference letter from HR? Was it a seamless process. Did they give the letter willingly or one has to beg and explain things.. |
amaya21:Thank you. I did search but I didn't see it. At times when you have more than 20 pages to read... You might skip some information. Thank you. |
amaya21:I have searched and can't find answers. If you know the answers.. Kindly state it. You assumed I just asked questions without searching. If you read my questions.. They are not the usual ECA/DOB questions. The time you spent in asking me to search more could have been spent answering the questions. |
Good evening everyone.. I need help.. I am currently filling our express entry profile. 1. My wife if the principal applicant. For her primary NOC, we used a secretary job she did from September 2015 to August 2016. I hope this is one year. She was moved to another role from September 2016. 2. While filling educational history. Should we fill all our educational history from secondary school to the highest qualifications obtained? Should this be done for both the principal applicant and accompanying spouse? 3. For work history we only filled the work experience that the principal applicant is claiming points for as per NOC. hope it's OK or do we need to fill all her work history in the last 10 years? 4. For the accompanying spouse.. Is it important to fill his work history while creating an express entry profile? He isn't claiming points with any NOC. if yes.. Should he fill his work history in the last 10 years |

Please what's the NOC for a food and beverage supervisor in a hotel? Secondly, can I combine 3 NOCs to meet up with three years work experience? One of the NOCs is a year. The second is about a year and 3 months. The last is a current job. It is 3 years. But I did a full time masters degree during this period. Please I need advice. Finally if you have newmum email. Please kindly signify so I can reach you privately. |
Good day everyone. This is my wife's job duties. She works as a sales person for a cement manufacturing company. Her job duties match with about 70 percent of NOC 6221(technical sales). Before this role.. She was the personal secretary to the DGM technical sales. She did this for one year before she was moved to the field. The problem is the lead statement didn't mention a manufacturing company. Her job title is relationship officer. Please can someone help me check to see if this can fly with NOC 6221 or if there is another appropriate NOC that she can use? • Building and maintaining relationships with customers both whoesalers and retailers • Managing key customers accounts and processing customer orders • Conducting business reviews to ensure customers are satisfied with their products and services. • Identify new opportunities and follow up new leads to further sales • Letting customers know about other products the company offers • Achieving customer relationship targets and KPI’s as set by the Head of Sales.. • Monitoring company performance against competition . Ensure that customers understand what makes each company products different. . She has a driving licence and drives a a car given to her to be able to reach customers daily. |
I and wify wrote IELTS CBT on the 14th. Our results came out today. It is our first attempt. principal applicant Wify... LRWS. 8,9,7,7 my result LRWS. 8,8.5,7.5,8. Thinking wify needs to try again so she can max out. Can we enter the pool without the TRF number from the original result? |
NokiaN8:Foe you to qualufybfor a PHD you must have at least a CGPA of 3.50. For some schools it is 4.0. Check your CGPA. It may be the problem. Also PHD PROGRAMMES are subject to availability of supervisors. |

[quote author=Drahl post=83013388]The books I used are: 1.Barron's for IELTS(It is good for reading and has three model tests but it is not ideal for listening probably that was why I failed listening twice) 2.Official IELTS practice materials(It's the conventional red book sold by British council but it has two model tests on reading that are very resourceful). Online resources: Road to IELTS(You can only access this when you book with BC and it has two model tests. I also combined it with MOD reading model tests. I wouldnt advice using ieltsonlinetests.com(it's too easy),I would recommend mini-ielts.com(it's very very good). [my opinion] I also used Cambridge academic reading. It is very hard but it will make the actual reading on test day feel like cereals. There's also a Japanese lady called Toneka(that lady is ingenious, infact, I love her). She has a video where she answered ielts reading and showed all the tricks.you can search for her on youtube. You might find her boring and her English is not too coherent and fluent, but trust me,she is very good. MY ADVICE AND STRATEGIES:. 1. Don't go beyond the word count limit.no more than two words means maximum of two words. 2.Write all answers in block letters, that way you won't forget to capitalize a proper noun. 3.Time Management: passage 1 is 13 questions.passage 2 is 14Q. passage 3 is 13Q. Passage 1 is the easiest and passage 3 is the hardest.I recommend 15mins for P1(or less),15mins for P2,at least 30mins for P3.When you do practice tests, ensure you time yourself so that you don't go overboard.it is imperative. 4.When I get my question booklet,I DONT read the passages, you will be wasting valuable time.Go straight to the questions,For me i read 4 questions once, then i underline the keywords and circle some and replace them with two synonyms,I then go back to the passage and find the answers.Quickly finding answers is a skill that takes time to build.Taking 4Q once helps you save time because in the bid of finding the answer to number 2,you might find the answer to number 3 or 4.(this is better than one question at a time).secondly, the questions in section 1 and 2 are chronological(if you found the answer to number 7 and you cant find the answer to number 6,most probably, the answer to 6 is just above number 7)[this doesnt apply in passage 3]. 5. For matching headline with paragraph:you dont need to read the entire paragraph.Read only the first two sentences, the topic sentence is always there. This is enough to summarize the paragraph. If you cant still match it because the information is not enough, read the last sentence(it will contain the summary).I think sometimes(rare cases) they put the summary in the middle. Also, sometimes a paragraph may have quotation marks expressing the speakers thought, that is all you need to read to match it.Another thing i do is;I look at the list of headings and rewrite them with my own words. for instance,a heading like 'the robots main function'......I replace 'main' with synonyms like primary or key.....i replace 'function' with importance, use or purpose. That way, when i read the first 2 sentences of the passage, the answers are staring at me brightly. 6.For T/F/NG..Most people tend to answer these question based on their knowledge(it is WRONG)If the passage says the capital of Nigeria is Paris, then the capital of Nigeria is Paris.dont infer or deduce. Passage:Baron pierre de coubertin, the founder of modern olympics aim was to bring together, once every four years, athletes from all countries on the friendly fields of amateur sport. question:only amateur athletes are allowed to compete in the modern olympics. answer:NOT GIVEN Here's another one:John jumped from the 8th floor of UBA house. question:john died as a result of the fall Answer:NOT GIVEN(even though we know john would die but it wasnt mentioned in the passage). Passage: The architectural design of the building is shoe-box shaped. question :the building has a shoe-shaped design answer:FALS Thanks For the mini-ielts.com How do we differentiate academic practice texts from general praCtise texts? Are we to practice all? For Cambridge 1-9 there don't seem to be an audio button for the listening.. |
Pwinkle1:Thanks. |
