GREAT NEWS !!!!!
THE INTERNAL SOURCING AND MANAGEMENT PROMOTION EXAMS DONE IN-HOUSE FOR STAFF DUE FOR PROMOTION OVER THE YEARS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE SPACE FOR EXPERIENCE HIRE FROM OUTSIDE. IT WILL BE VERY UNFAIR TO HAVE BROUGHT IN NEW STAFF TO FILL THESE VACANT POSITIONS WHEN THEY WERE STAFF WHO HAVE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR PROMOTION. IN ALL HONESTY THE 2019 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE WAS A FOUL PLAY ON EXISTING STAFF BOTH CONTRACT AND PERMANENT. THERE IS NEVER A SYSTEM SO BAD LIKE THE SYSTEM WHO SEEKS TO BENEFIT OUTSIDERS MORE THAN INSIDERS. NNPC HAVE A GOOD NUMBER OF EXPERIENCED CONTRACT AND CASUAL STAFF WITH SUPER QUALIFICATIONS. ONLY THAT THE PAST ADMINISTRATION WAS SEEKING A WAY TO BRING IN THEIR OWN PEOPLE, ELSE THE EXPERIENCED CONTRACT AND CASUAL STAFF SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO APPLY AND FILL IN THESE POSITIONS. THANK YOU

Oga go and sit down.

It's either you are a contract staff or someone soliciting for them.

Leave us alone. Go and convince Kyari to consider contract staff.

You are mocking the last GMD saying he wanted to bring in his people..

How many of the contract staff got the job on merit?

Most of you came in through the back door..

So swerve abeg..

0.55mm thicker than 0.45mm
For metcopo you can go for 0.55mm due to the stepping of machines
Yes so far client ready to pay for transprt cost

Thanks for your feedback.

The issue is that using 0.55mm will add significant cost to my budget.

So I have to make a choice between 0.45mm steptiles and metcoppo.

Or should I just go for long span 0.45mm?

Please I need your help to choose. I have been reading of people saying they both leak too much especially metcoppo

Location is Nnewi.

Good day sir..

What's the difference between 0.45mm and 0.55mm metcoppo aluminum sheets.

Secondly, which one will you recommend I buy between steptiles and metcoppo 0.45mm?

Finally, do you work in the south east?

I’d recommend you push for 0.55 gauge of step tiles. Not many installer can handle 0.45 gauge very well.

They’ll install but you’d experience leakage after they’ve left and after you might have installed valuables in your building.

0.55 is far more reliable and you get less complaints from those who use this gauge.

Also, buy from reputable aluminum company. There are cheaper alternatives but if you’re directly involved in materials purchase, I’d recommend you buy from big aluminum companies. You’d save yourself lot of headache and heartaches in the long run.

Your roof is as good as the man who installed it.

Happy Building!!

I am buying from first express aluminum manufacturing co. LTD.

One of the biggest aluminum companies in nnewi

They are going to install it themselves

Thanks for the feedback.

Any recent review. The architect who built my house recommended it. He is an experienced builder who has built lots of houses for high net individuals around the nnewi/awka axis.

I like steptiles too. That's why I need other opinions to decide.

My experience with metcopo was very terrible. prone to leakages. The same with most homeowners in the same estate. But this was years ago when metcopo was "new" in the market. Despite, will I use metcopo again, the answer is definitely NO!

Please how is aluminum roofing measured in the market?

I am seeing different prices for aluminum step tiles.

Some are saying 1,300 for 0.45mm

Another is saying 2,400 for 0.45mm

Is it that there are different measurements

Is it per sheet?

Secondly, I read somewhere that foreign ones are cheaper than local ones..

Is that the reason for the difference in the two prices?

I am interested in knowing the price of step tiles aluminum around onitsha and nnewi.

Maybe the way people in the with East measure it is different from the way it's measured in the south west.

Since he has applied with his OND, he evidently belongs to Assistant Inspector cadre. There is no point presenting his BSc SOR cos he doesn't belong to that category. He hasn't even done NYSC program to earn his NYSC Discharge cert.

If he's lucky to make the final list, he should just zero his mind about using his degree for the job. And I must tell you that joining the job as an assistant inspector is still pretty okay. He is still regarded as Future of the Service as he may likely ascend the rank of a Controller with his 35years in Service. Just like in Police, those who join as Cadet Inspectors usually climb Commissioner of Police before retirement if they do not experience delayed promotion along the line while ASP cadets are called Future IGP as one of them (a particular set of ASPs) will be IGP.
The same thing holds for us.

Thank you.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by ananne: 11:41am On Dec 11, 2020
SuppoOmoo:

1) The Four Services under Interior Ministry
operate four salary structures which
include CONPASS, CONMESS, CONHESS and COMPASS. You ll be given the one commensurate with your what you are employed for. For General Duty Officers and men, we are placed on CONPASS, CONMESS is for Medical Officers and Vetinary Doctors, CONHESS is for other health officers like Nurses, Laboratory Scientists and so on. The Gross Salary of personnel in all these four departments are the same across Levels. But the Net Pay differs because of differences in deductions. Compulsory deductions for all are TAX, PENSION (both employee and employer), NHF - National Housing Fund and NHIS - National Health Insurance Scheme. Apart from these, one or two of the four departments make another deductions from Gross Pay. That's why your counterpart who is of the same Grade Level and Step in a sister department collect a little higher or lower than you. Now, to directly answer your question is not possible for me because i duly appended my signature on OATH OF SECRECY form. What i can tell you is that you ll be placed on CONPASS as a GD personnel and your Grade Level and Step plus deductions from your department (apart from statutory ones) determine your NET PAY.

2) The answer is Capital NO. It is always boldly written that Certificates not presented during documentation will NOT be considered again. What usually happen before now is that applicants who have had higher degrees (either HND or BSc) may decide to take appointments for lower cadre (SSCE or ND/NCE) perhaps because of what their sources could afford. After two years of joining, they ll quick enroll for Master's degree so that when opportunity for upgrading comes around especially for those on Level 7 (Inspectors), they can apply with Master's degree they acquired on the job and get commisioned to either or depending on the recommendations from the department to the Board. But with the Harmonisation of Ranks in place, nothing like upgrading again. Once you join as an Assistant (now Constable) your promotion in whatever Service you belong depends on years in Service just like in the Police we copy and not by acquiring additional academic qualifications. Special or accelerated promotion can happen though.

3) It is the Service that determine the location suitable for them considering the cost and prevailing situations in the country. They may decide to do it at either State Command Level, Zonal Level or Headquarters (usually for Commissioned Officers)

4) Like I did say in my previous post, Paramilitary is far away different from Military. That one you mentioned and other are minor stuffs do not prevent you from getting NIS or other Paramilitary Job. The only thing is that you may not be able to join special unit within your department and remain Conventional personnel (ATURA) throughout your stay in the Job which is even preferred by some folks.

5) If you eventually get the Job, every body both Commissioned Officers and other ranks will first report to their respective state Commands to under what we call INDUCTION TRAINING/COURSE. This is done to familiarize you with the job ethics and modify your Civilian Ways of thinking. This may last for six weeks, two months or three months. With this, work has started already. Thereafter, some or all (depending on your number) will be asked to report to Training Institutions (College for Officers and Schools for the Men) to undergo Basic Officers Course for Officers and Basic Recruit Training for Men. Then, after your POP, you ll be posted back to your State of origin while some folks ll lobby to be posted out to places of choice directly.

Your explanations are valid.

My younger brother applied with his OND because he graduated with his BSC last December and just received his statement of result. He will be going for NYSC by March next year.

In his case, I advised him to take his BSC SOR to the screening if shortlisted and explain to the he just obtained his SOR last month.

What would you advice?

The way some of you conclude that a certain number of people didn't show up.

78,000 was shortlisted. If 20,000 people didn't show up, you have 50,000 people competing for about 4,500 places.

Stop making it look like a few people wrote the exams.

It is still very competitive. Comments like this is what will make people scream connection when they don't finally make it because they read somewhere that many people didn't show up.

Congrats to those that wrote this exam. But please don't put ur mind too much into this. Remember that NIS only need 4500 out of 75000 that were invired for d exams. Without sure connection ur chances of getting this job is extremely low. I remembered my NNPC experience, after writing exam, I got lucky to be invited for interview and I was like maybe God is indeed marvelous and he will rly help a poor struggling guy, I was wrong, after waiting more than 8 months with intense fasting and prayer, I wasn't picked, I had d knife in my hand and I was a sec from suicide. So please don't put too much mind to it, in fact cancel ur mind from it and go about ur normal duty. At the end if u get the job consider urself extremely lucky and remember, nothing is fair about this recruitment, u will never see ur test score and names and application numbers will be massively swapped for those with sure connect. This naija, even if dey say it will be fair don't deceive urself into believing it is fair. Good luck

I am sure if NNPC choose you, you won't type this thing about them swapping names massively.

My wife's mother was able to attend their wedding. They applied to the embassy and we're granted a three months visa.

My wife and I have been looking at options to relocate.

I know we can easily get a tourist visa because her brother is a legal resident there.

But is South Korea a good place for one to live and work?

Aside the factory..does it mean blacks can't find good professional jobs?

Is it easy to get a work visa even though one entered via a tourist visa?
