MomoAdura:I have submitted my birth story o |
Our BS. I got married to me amazing wife in December 2016. She wanted us to start trying for a baby after our traditional marriage in September 2016 but I was reluctant. I just wanted us to start trying after our wedding in December. Before we got married, she told me she had fibroids. I had no problem with it. But we didn't expect it to be a problem. She got pregnant a month after our wedding. We were so excited about it. I was at work at my base in Ilaro, Ogun state whe my wife called me from lagos that she was bleeding. It was early in the morning. Before noon, it was confirmed we lost the pregnancy. We were both devasted. We found out that the fibroids were growing and could have been responsible. We both decided to go back to school so we can get it off our minds. She gained admission into UNILAG for her MBA while I started my PGD with NOUN. By June 2018, the fibroids have grown so big that our gyneacologist at R.jolad gbagada recommended surgery. We fixed the date in November 2018 so she can defend her project. Surgery was successful. We were elevated thinking she will get pregnant almost immediately but it was not to be. It took us a year and nine months after the surgery for wify to.miss her period. Prior to that we had decided to go for an IUI. it was in the process that she got pregnant. God did it. The sleepless nights. The nights I will be at work and she will call me crying and I will have to console her till she falls asleep. Working in a different state didn't help. Some nights when she needed my shoulder to cry on..I wasn't there. When she got pregnant, we were elated. But we were worried that the event of January 2017 will repeat itself. She had a scare one night while I was away at work. She stated bleeding and was rushed to a hospital close to us. The doctor prescribed diugs and gave bed rest. We pulled through. The first three months east easy. Every kind of smell was a problem. I shouldn't even use soap or cut onions. Infact, the first trimester was something else. The second trimester was a bit smooth. We did a lot of scan trying to be sure baby was growing well and okay. By the bird trimester, she started experiencing headaches and pelvic pain. It wasn't easy but she was still going to work and driving herself. Because of the previous myomectomy and size of the baby, the doctors recommended CS. We were supposed to have the surgery on the 15th of May only for the doctor to review her file and move back the date to the 9th of may. I was at work on the 7th when she told me. I had to inform my boss and rush to Lagos to be with her. Surgery was done and our handsome son was brought out weighing 3.6. It's been a week today. Wify lost a lot of blood and was given to pints of blood in the recovery room. She is recovering well but I can't wait for her get back to her normal self. LO is doing well. He feeds like a lot but we are glad to have him. I want to thank God for answering our prayers. It wasn't an easy journey but we are happy our son arrived months before out fifth marriage anniversary. Thank you all for your support. Cc MomoAdura |
