He has a pilot license. Those who say he is okay will join a flight piloted by Oga Suntai to take them to Yola from Jalingo. Only a 30 minutes flight.

And you are still dry despite the so called " recovery of loot" - wake up!!

chidindufrank: This is the main reason why Northerners want power by all means so that the north would continue to loot us dry. The money Abacha looted is/was oil money. The question is,Who was the minister of petroleum trust fund during Abacha's iron reign?
So what did they do Nigeria , with the recovered money. From a military thief to a "democratic " thief isn't it?

ckkris: President Jonathan is more acceptable to Nigerians than Obasanjo, who is generally perceived as a wicked, heartless man. And Atiku is even worse. Let the r6 go and join hell-Rufai & other renegades in the APC.
We agree that Obasanjo is a wicked heartless man but his greatest wickedness is inflicting the clueless visionless Jonathan on the country.

AnodaIT: The tension in the polity is created by people who know they cant win any election through voting. GEJ has reeatedly said that 2015 should be push aside till 2014 so that he can concentrate on the transformation agenda.
.
What is making the governors to be afraid of EFCC, if you did nothing wrong, you dont need a presidential fiat to keep the EFCC from you.
You call a National Leader recognized by the INEC a factional leader? Dreams.
Why cant this people keep the election till 2014 when campaign begins so that the President can focus on ASUU,Boko Haram, and other pressing matters. This way if he can not handle or resolved them then we judge him by that and throw him out of office
You think your President can focus on anything other than second term as President?

femialiu: don't know of products but UAC and PZ Cussons are two business that are older than Nigeria...their products av changed over the years so it may be impossible for you to see products that has lasted 100 years.. however some of their very old products include canoe soap, swan water, president paint, Stella pomade, elephant detergent, tempo, coast milk, duck bar soap, joy, imperial leather...check their website for more.... I hope I've helped a bit
Even the older products like duck soap. Are not upto 60 yrs old. Elephant detergent can't be more than 40 years. There was no detergent in the Nigerian market 60 years ago and probably none in the world market 100 years ago.

naijacutee: Unilever (then Lever Brothers) came to Nigeria in 1923, and as one of the first, their product range in Nigeria is 90 years old this year.

Here's a link to their history in Nigeria: http://www.unilevernigeria.com/aboutus/ourhistory/Default.aspx

Blue Band Margarine and Close Up toothpaste are also from them. I'm still looking for more products.
Close up is a product of the 70s . Maclean's , Pepsodent and Prodent all came before it.
Politics › Re: PDP Splits: Seven Governors, Oyinlola, Atiku Members Of New Faction by AnanseK(m): 10:26pm On Aug 31, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Fear fear governors. I thought they would have been bold enough to walk out of the party and join APC or form another party. But in the end, fear no gree dem. What they've simply done is just like a lady or child crying just to be noticed. It doesn't make any sense.

Meanwhile, I hate to say this but it is clear that all these are happening simply because GEJ, the leader of PDP, is from minority tribe. Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened to GEJ by now if not that atleast the Igbos have stood by him. This president has not committed any sin, except his tribe. If anything, atleast, this is the first time we'r having purposeful leadership in this country. While OBJ ran the opposition out of business and Yar Adua rigged the only major election (Ekiti re-run) he supervised in favour of PDP, GEJ has allowed free and fair elections, thereby increasing the political control of the opposition, in terms number of states and legislative seats between 2010 and now. But what does GEJ get in return, its attacks, attacks and more attacks. Very very unfortunate indeed.
Can you try to be objective just one time ? Why always insinuating ethnicity even among the wicked party PDP.
Politics › Re: Why We Broke Away - PDP Faction by AnanseK(m): 10:19pm On Aug 31, 2013
confusion247: Why are they still using the name PDP? They should be ashamed that they are fighting for their pockets and not for the masses. They should form a new party or join APC .............but they should know that no vacancy in aso rock till 2019.

So GEJ is a self respecting person?
Politics › Re: Atiku And 7 Governors Walk-out Of PDP Convention by AnanseK(m): 9:03pm On Aug 31, 2013
gramci: President GEJ will win Rivers State anyday, the other northern states you mentioned he didn't win there in last election. So these men are political liability for now. So the only way to put them to good use is to frustrate them out of PDP so they can form a party that will split APC's vote. grin
Alternatively they can join the APC and strenghthen it further.

They Civilian JTF are fighting with the Nigerian security in a war zone and they have helped a lot with local content. The Niger Delta Militants were fighting the government and are now earning huge salaries. The difference is that Civilian JTF are mainly Northerners and therefore second class citizen in present Nigeria .
For real progress however I will advise the government to create ant train a volunteer force out of the CJTF . They should be carefully screened and trained to fight the insurgency in many fronts and can be discharged when the last BH resistance is crushed.

Politics › Re: Suntai Dissolves Cabinet Amidst Controversies by AnanseK(m): 4:32pm On Aug 28, 2013
The law was just recently ammended after the Late Yar'Adua saga. It is the collective wisdom of the Nigerians, via the NA that the Governor does not need to address his State when he resumes from 'prolonged vacation' so that 'everybody goes to rest'.

As I stated earlier, a Governor does not have to be physically strong to run his State. All that is needed to run a State is a sound mind to give orders. I cannot prove that Suntai is strong, neither can i prove otherwise. So do other commentators here, so why talk with a tone of finality that a treason has been carried out? For your information, President Jonathan did not write or necessarily sign the letter that sacked the youth minister. He gave orders to SGF and he carried it out. How is that different from Suntai's situation?

You are singling out Suntai because you think that he is not physically strong. Physical strenght is not a precondition for governorship position in Nigeria, and no politicain, including those who disagree with me will resign from their office when they want to go and undergo cancer treatment or after experiencing an accident. Most of you guys here believed everything you read about Chime and PEJ. I can assure you that not even everything you heard about the Late President Yar'Adua is true.
Yes I agree with you. He doesn't have to be strong to rule, he doesn't need to address the state assembly, the public, the media or anybody, he doesn't even have to have a sound mind. Nobody resigns his post for only one years illness and away from office, in fact no one should resign his office when he is dead. Not all said about Yar Adua is true. Yar'Adua did not resign and he is still ruling the country through Jonathan. You don't have to be there to govern, you can even be dead, you can do it from the grave and why not?

Yes, courageous men like Kwankwaso to tell the President that this is unacceptable. It's a mistake to appoint such a narrow minded bigot into a sensitive public position.

Joel Felix: Are they the one to decide whether the governor should step down or not? please they should allow the man to decide it himself
The problem is Mr. Suntai is not in a position to make decisions. And decision-making is what governor's job is.
