ddippset:Based on the current constitution and the way it is worded, I believe you are right Fubara's biggest sin was never allowing the House to function once he started quarrelling with Wike. People are conveniently choosing to forget that he started fighting the House way before they announced they were decamping. This was his error. He violated the constitution then and when they announced they were decamping as a result, it was never going to be enough for learned Judges not to want to punish him for doing so in the first place..... and obviously Wike is a favourite to them so that helped too. |
People are missing the most important part, where the Justices state clearly that only a valid House has the power to declare a seat vacant, not the courts, not Governors. As far as I am concerned, they just need to remove this rubbish of declaring a seat vacant because you moved to another party, it doesn't affect the Executive, it doesn't happen in UK, it doesn't happen in USA...it just pute rubbish IMO and a waste of everybody's time. |
This is extremely disgraceful and to be honest EFCC have been doing shameful things for quite a while. They are really becoming annoying and quite unprofessional, especially with cases they are handling that do not involve politicians/ government looters. |
Bish42:So it is God now that made Fubara governor shey? I guess it's also God that made Tinubu president and Wike a federal minister ![]() Anyway your write up is wrong about something. The FG can remove him (the Executive and Legislature) and so can those 27 lawmakers in his state...if you like you can ascribe that to God. |
Image123:To think people said Emiefele was also a lecturer...I wonder what kind of students he has raised for us in this country. |
Babangidapikin:Oga learn to read, no judge is depriving anyone of anything. Even secondary students know that the Executive is only allowed to spend when they have presented their budgets to the Legislative arm and they ok it. 3 people are not enough to represent the legislative arm when no mass disaster occured and God did not suddenly take the others away like Elijah. As for the LG elections, again he needed to follow the extant laws and failed to do so for selfish reasons. Abuja cannot be sending money to people in the Local government that are not recognised by the constitution. This is not rocket science or juju...it is simple government 101..... Fubara chose to be led and deceived by cowardly people who have never won a fight single handedly on their own and now managed to make a barely literate Wike look like a first class professor in law. |
Matrixoba:Ahhh, so all of a sudden Rivers state people voted for an unknown Fubara shey? The same way Rivers people also voted for Tinubu in a landslide over Peter Obi shey? Stop pretending as if Rivers state election results were not written by one man. If the people had voted for him like you claim, he would have never been so beholden to Wike that he allowed Wike to choose his whole cabinet for him earlier. History is full of people who started off as criminals and villains who later became heroes. Has Trump ever denied his past? If Fubara, a career thief wants to become a hero, you people should stop pretending and trying to rewrite his history and agree he never had the peopi mandate and was amade Governor without sweating. Let him fight Wike, thief to thief, and I just pray, the less of a thief wins for the Rivers people and Nigeria's sake. |
press9jatv:Can you see the stupid advice you are giving to someone you claim to support? So the original LG chairmen and the State of House of assembly should be made useless because one man miscalculated shey? When he is removed with a state of Emergency being declared in the state ( like OBJ did severally) you will be there pretending like you are not one of the clowns that gave him foolish advice |
Apparently this Natasha's beauty is so overwhelming that no Nigerian man can think straight again....its really funny that all the "ugly" women managed to get married before her and didn't need to have 4 kids from various fathers to make it happen. I might not like Akpabio, but this her noise is too much |
gare:No serious person wants a governor beholden to one man, though the idiot agreed to this when the same man brought him from no where to be made governor. What serious people are saying is he should fight him in the right way and not ways that make absolutely no sense. What stops a full grown man, a governor, from winning those lawmakers to his side....is he not a politician again? |
Typical Yolobaaa man, he waited till supreme court pronounces to give the "warrior" governor a "mehhhhh"...lol Thank you INEC for not wasting our money because of one man who does not know how to fight his godfather and doesn't want anyone else to have peace. |
anonimi:Fine, and the news coming from the supreme court on Rivers makes it more interesting. |
Ojuntana:Thank God the supreme court has ruled logically... and according to you it seems that it is only Zombies that understand Law and how democracies should work. |
anonimi:Oga how market today? |
I don't know what is difficult in understanding that the smallest of minorities should never have there way against a far superior majority, it is common sense. The problem in Nigeria is we always believe 2 wrongs can make a right because one party is more wrong than the other, which is understandable as a human but that is not law. Law is there to prevent chaos and that is what happens when we have silly cases like this Fubara own. Anyway, lets see the nonsense Fubara pulls again. |
In the first and the last picture I can see the black in her. People like Mariah Carey, Jennifer Beals and that actor in Prison Break, I can't see it no matter how many times I look at their different pics. |
Wallade:I am not supporting anybody in there fight oooo, it is clear this Natasha lady isn't worth worrying about as she is "one" of them. It's just that this writeup is so poor and it is crystal clear what the person is trying to achieve . |
This is a very bad hatchet job, got tired of reading it after 45 seconds |
Hemanwel:Ah it is now that you understand democracy shey? But when Fubara singlehandedly sacks 90% of a house and chooses there speaker for them, una no understand democracy then. When a very literate Obaseki refused to allow is his state house of assembly sit, poured cement in front of the gate and used caterpillar to pull down the building, una no understand democracy then shey?? |
SalamRushdie:Obviously you have checked it and now you have no better reply than to ask a silly question. I was better under Abacha, does that mean now I should go and dig him up from the grave and ask him to continue foisting himself on us? |
SalamRushdie:Simple question to you, how much did the last PDP administration inherit as reserves and how much did it leave |
aswani:Thanks Bro. We've all ran away from here for a while as one gets tired of correcting all the falsehoods told here repeatedly. But if you leave them to keep telling their stories, unchallenged, over and over again, it soon could start being accepted as the truth. Maybe one day this site will go back to being like quora, with posts where you always learn something worthwhile instead of people who keep trying to rewrite modern history. |
tishbite43:Clearly we have different values and come from different cultures. In my culture we are thought once you start trouble you finish it. In our greatest empire, if generals go to war and lose, they are not allowed to come back. If a king starts a war and loses, he was expected to commit suicide and allow someone else who the gods are happy with take over. As I grew older and I started to fight and lose some of my own fights, I understood the idea behind this was to ensure peace, as starting trouble and running away is not acceptable. As shameless as Hitler was, when the allied forces came calling for him, he did not run away after wasting so many German lives, he joined them without anyone needing to tell him twice. The small island nation of Japan fought America with all they had after they used their hand to look for trouble and force America into the 2nd World war. When their fighter pilots ran out of bullets, they could have easily flown away like Ojukwu to distant lands looking for cheap women. But in what had not been seen in modern warfare at that time, they flew directly into American ships, killing themselves and causing maximum damage to their enemies. The word Kamikaze, now borrowed to the English language, pays homage to this. Americans, no in fact the West, had never seen this kind of resolve before, they were in awe. Germany the so called superpower had given up. Italy had since given up. But this tiny nation of Japan that was suppose to be the easiest to defeat was making life miserable for them. It seemed to them that the only way they could overcome this tiny nation's resilience was to drop the mother of all experimental bombs on them. Till today Amercians are still ashamed of their action. Anyway Japan had to give up after the bombings as they clearly saw the Americans could annihilate their race in two days with all the carnage. More recently we saw the extreme video of the Russian and Ukrainian officers who after running out of bullets fought themselves hand to hand till death...and the Ukrainian officer still congratulated the Russian while dieing. In my culture these are things to be proud of. Its pretty simple, if you can avoid a fight avoid it by all means. But once you start a fight, once you start one, make sure you do everything to win oooo, because though failure is acceptable, coming back to laugh, shine teeth and tell the tales of the failure isn't oooo. So though decent Yoruba men might understand why you people choose to celebrate Ironsi, Ojukwu's case of allowing 3 million people to die and come back and be shinning teeth among una, is an abomination in our culture. We have different values so I will stop engaging you as I am clearly wasting my time. |
Softmirror:It's well known that he was the first official person to find out Abacha died. Obviously he broke the news to Marayam, not before ensuring orderliness though and calling the gap toothed emperor in Minna to inform him and ask his advice. Obviously it was the evil genius who put things in place and ensured it would be his bossom childhood friend that would succeed Abacha. Probably that is where Akhigbe got his courage from to commandier that meeting, but most people who knew Akhigbe always said he was courageous and not to be messed with. Mustapha undoubtedly did his part to ensure those who he thought were his enemies had no chance to succeed Abacha (Bamaiyi and Useni). What he got wrong was that clearly Abdulsalami didn't think much of him either....but who could blame them, as he was a Major who made himself a dredd and nuisance to most of those senior officers and they were just taking the insults and managing him because they knew Abacha had full trust in him. The military teaches you to be patient when you are looking for revenge. |
Softmirror:Though Useni seniored Abdusalami, it was actually not that straightforward as the post Abulsalami had in the military was actually the highest next to the head of state (seeing as Abacha refused to name someone to replace Diya). Also, an interesting fact is Useni joined the army before Abacha too and would have seniored him at a point....the baba was suppose to have retired long ago. Anyway, the right thing was done their as Abdulsalami had the most senior post and the other person who actually wanted to become HOS was Gen Bamaiyi as he was chief of Army staff. Also a correction, it was Mike Akhigbe the most senior service chief that ensured Abdusalami took over. They had a meeting like the one IBB describes in the OBJ/Danjuma case and Akhigbe did not allow anyone to talk making it clear that a nervous Abdulsalami must succeed Abacha as their Military traditions entailed. Abdulsalammi did not say a word. This is all from eyewitnesses by the way. |
tishbite43:Uncle you were the one that started it by claiming Ironsi died some sort of heroic gallant death by being harassed and dieing in the bushes by bullets of NCOs nobody even knows the name of till today. They took his stick, beat him with it, stripped him half naked and told their senior officer to shutup while they dealt with him. Do you know what it means in the Army for a real General to be treated that way by his troops, NCOs ooo not even officers....I'm sure you don't have a military backround like some of us do, so you can't understand the level of ignominy. That's why Danjuma still has the effrontery to call him useless till today. And as for Ojukwu.....you are truly making me speechless. Ogundipe died a christian peaceful death in London knowing nobody shed unnecessary blood on his behalf and he did not shed anybody's blood in vain either. Ojukwu on the other hand led 3 million largely innocent people to their early graves mainly because he could not stomach the indignity of being a Nigerian and reporting to his mate!! When it was time to pay the ultimate price like the rest of them (Nzeogwu did, Banjo and Ifeajuna kind of did too), he ran away faster than Usain Bolt to enjoy the company of loose Abidjan women. He later came back to Nigeria, married a beauty Queen, had another set of children and lived a full life praising "Nigeria" and being a "Nigerian" politician....and you see nothing wrong with this?! This is what you call courage, that is exemplary leadership?! Anyway I know not all Igbos have this kind of shameless opinion like you do. Its like saying Kanu dies in detention now and you will be celebrating the FG giving him a state burial instead of a Biafran one...... even I'd have to say that sounds disgusting. |
tishbite43:Una go de make noise but small small history una no sabi....Ojukwu outlived Ogundipe because he learnt how to runaway like a "Yoruba General" when OBJ and death came calling for him naaa, finally proving that all the early years of education his father gave him in the Southwest was not actually wasted ![]() As for your new hero Danjuma, this is what the old man said recently about your brave General Ironsi, even after all these years he still can't even pretend to respect the man after leading murderers to him (funny fact is that it was also Ironsi that invited Danjuma to escort him on his trip, talk about using your own hand to do yourself....chaiiii pride ) {Journalist}So, he (Adjutant) didn’t create the problem? |
Again our Senators showing they don't have any work nor shame ...who the hell is Akpabio that someone should be querried for making a phone call to him, whether live on air or not?! Trump, the most powerful man in the world, is on television and radio like there is no tomorrow...people are abusing him and calling him names everyday yet we are not hearing stupid stories like this. Rubbish. |
jaxxy:Did he quote IBB...did IBB say Yoruba Generals are always afraid in his book? Is there a competent quote where IBB said that rubbish about drums of war....why didn't he repeat it in his book? The fact is a certain people keep repeating this rubbish of fear-fear Yoruba Generals despite the fact that only Yoruba Generals and Middle-Belt Generals can boast of winning wars in this country.... those who live in glass houses should really not be the ones always looking to throw stones. |
There is no way that up to 60 million people in Nigeria pay tax, even in Lagos its not up to 30% of workers that pay, so it now farmers in Benue and traders in the East paying tax shey....Akapabio as usual does not know what he is saying. |
