This is the reason federal judges hardly pass death sentences. The case of kabirui sokoto who was responsible for over 200 deaths in the Abuja Nyanya bombings and Okah's Independence day lethal bombings saw only life sentences as both crimes were committed in Abuja and tried at an Abuja high court.

Only Governors can sign a warrant. Even the president doesn't have that responsibility although he can grant pardons or commutations to a life sentence.

The point I am making is that, the useless woman judge who passed this sentence is not aware of the intricacies surrounding death sentences within federal jurisprudence .

Even in the US, the FBI may decide to try someone in a state court rather than federal when looking for a death sentence. The only crimes that can lead to a death conviction in a US federal court is espionage and treason. Same rules apply in Nigeria.

Again to educate your childish self, the place you call Lekki (phase 1 I want to believe) was one of the LAST places in LEKKI to exist.. Ajah, Igbo Efon, Ikota all existed before they decided to sandfill phase 1.... and already the Lekki identity and name existed as can be seen by Lekki Beach and LCF.

There is no road in eti-osa called Ajah, the only road that leads to mega chicken is called Lekki-Epe expressway.

Even if conductors have suddenly become your geography teacher, Ajah bus is not the bus someone going to Chevron would use as it is more expensive. Buses that terminate at new road are plenty, in fact most of them will even call Chevron sef.

It's been ages since I read those books my self, books like Mine Boy, Zambia shall be free, No Longer at Ease and a host of others under the African Writer Series.

My special mention would however be African Child by Camara Laye, a truly evocative and spectacular read- to think it was even translated from French, a great little book.

They said bad English most often but fellow countrymen will have decoded it sharply. It is the choice of word(diction) that varies as a result of culture and geographical location. I think one should have basic insight of life in the western world.
Let me site some examples to pass my points effectively.

We are experiencing harmattan during this period therefore we say: "It is a dry season".

But to them it is either Winter,Autumn, Spring or Summer.

Fellow country men will have understand 9PM or AM

But to some they will ask for digital time like 24 hour clock because some don't even understand PM or AM.

I agree with what our fellow nairalanders opined that I should endeavour to watching foreign movies and to also listen to foreign music, reading novels etc .
I think understanding many English synonyms will also help the situation at hand because they barely use some words we often use on a daily basis in this part of the world.

All the examples you mentioned above have nothing to do with English skills but your ability to adapt to a different culture.

You need to be more confident in your Africaness, after reading your post above I'd advise you read more books and articles from African authors to build up your self esteem. I recommend literature from our golden age in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

The people telling you to watch foreign movies are not helping you. Though staying away from Nigerian english movies should be encouraged.

Since your problem seems to be only speaking, watch a lot of BBC or Al-Jazeera news. Or in particular get a portable radio and listen to BBC World Radio- this can never go wrong.

The 3,000 blocks for 1 plot fence I mentioned earlier may not be taller to it's own taste. So budgeting 18,000 blocks is not too much for an acre sir.

We are all just speculating as none of us have seen the survey plan.

However what I am trying to get you to recognise is that fencing an acre will be far less than 6 individual plots which make the acre as each plot will only require you to fence a maximum of 2 sides.

Just take some time to think about it.

A block is 150- 170 @ Abeokuta, we used 3000 to construct a fence on a plot of land recently. An acre is 6 plots. Calculate 3000*150=450,000. 450,000* 6 plots= 2.5million for blocks only. We haven't talked bout granite for foundation, sand for shocking, water , cement, labourers, supervision. Etc

Your calculations on the size is wrong. Its the perimeter for an acre he is fencing not the perimeter for six individual plots. This means if your 3000 blocks calculation for a plot is correct he will definitely use less than 18000 blocks.

Going deeper, if it's a perfect acre and plots measure 120 by 60ft ( or even 100 by 50ft), based on your calculation we're talking 8000- 9000 blocks.

That's really subjective all the ones I watched liked the os, I like the navigation system when you remove keys it's really unique and but I'll get into that later but I really like the fact that unlike every other android phone you can slide down your task bar from anywhere in the screen without reaching the top. The animation is okay for me unless you want cartoon stuff

OP you have some good points but the problem I have with Lenovo is they don't take their mobile phone business seriously. I bought about 4 lenovo phones with good specs at great prices for colleagues of mine and all I had was stress as they complained about one thing or the other. I even looked at them and struggled to solve the issues especially with their quirky OS.

Its a big shame when a big company like this doesn't take their products seriously. Bill Gates recently admitted that not taking the mobile phone business seriously was Microsoft's biggest regret. Asus have repented and are doing great phones now. Still all I hear about Lenovo phones is good specs with poor user experience.
