This is introducing different argument here. We are talking about what Obasanjo said to him. Almost all the politicians in Nigeria are corrupt and even in the US and the West. If they put you in power you may not be 💯 clean too. But corruption does not stop development only wickedness does. Our leaders are very wicked.
Atiku was already wealthy before he became the vice president. And as a vice President he made more money.
One way or the other one of this corrupt politicians will rule us but it's just voting who could be better.

I don't know whether or not I am the only one perplexed over this issue. The truth is that, that part of the section of the law (305) clearly stated in an unequivocally way that the president has power to declare State of Emergency in every quarter and section of the country if there is possibility of a brewing crisis or is in crisis. Nigerians should rather protest for clarity and pure statutory of interpretation in that aspect of law through constitution amendment and reformation than the obvious.

“Nevertheless, the President’s discretion under Section 305 is not unfettered. Emergency measures must be temporary, corrective, and proportionate. They must be directed towards restoring constitutional governance, not extinguishing it. Any permanent displacement or abrogation of democratically elected institutions would constitute a constitutional aberration.
