Tinubu is using the same template here in Nigeria: emasculating the opposition, criminally capturing all state institutions most especially the judiciary and doing anything that will stand in his way to becoming the Paul Biya of Nigeria.

In fact, what we are witnessing is a civilian coup d’état, grab it, snatch it, and run away with it.
Keep giving him ideas.

When he executes them, don't complain, seeing as you encouraged him.

There are discrepancies in what you posted, because the Honourable Member was Abiodun Faleke, and not Senator Adeyemi Smart. Also, Ngige never worked against Tinubu at any time (at least not openly). The question you should ask yourself is, "Did Sen. Chris Ngige misappropriate public funds while in office?" Anyway, I already know your answer to my question; the answer is, "Was it only him that stole government money?" I would rather admonish you to desist from this kind of defense; it does nobody any good. Let criminals, regardless of their tribe or religion, answer to their crimes.
Beautifully said.

PoliticsRe: Maryam Sanda: Supreme Court Quashes Tinubu's Pardon, Upholds Death Sentence by AndroBlaze: 2:17pm On Dec 12, 2025
fergie001:
I will respond to you for a reason.

If Tinubu wanted to pardon her, now is the time not when it is still under appeal. Now the final Court in the land has spoken, the case has gotten to its final end, he can now do whatever he deems fit.

Her lawyer cited the pardon as a reason the case should be thrown out and it's a NO. Prerogative of mercy comes when the case has expired. Why do you think she hadn't been hanged before now, that is because it is still a live issue.

The President no matter how powerful cannot usurp the Powers of the Court.

When I see things like this, I feel proud for NL.
God Bless you and thank you for this.
So her lawyers were the cause and the reason the Supreme Court spoke on the matter.

Hmmm....this country and incompetence sef.

But clearly the presidency started this rubbish rolling in the first place.
PoliticsRe: Maryam Sanda: Supreme Court Quashes Tinubu's Pardon, Upholds Death Sentence by AndroBlaze:
heryor2:
Lawyers please confirm correct. cool

According to Gemini

The Nigerian judiciary can review and, in certain circumstances, effectively overturn or void a president's pardon, especially if the pardon violates constitutional procedure or goes against judicial decisions.
huh

Here is a breakdown of the key points:
1. Judicial Review of Procedure
* The President's power to grant pardon (Prerogative of Mercy) is conferred by Section 175 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
* A major check on this power is the procedural requirement: The President must exercise this power "after consultation with the Council of State" (Section 175(2)).
* A Nigerian court will generally not review the merit or wisdom of the pardon (i.e., whether the person deserved it, as this is considered a political question).
* However, if it can be proven that the President failed to follow the constitutional procedure (e.g., did not consult the Council of State), a court could theoretically declare the pardon void for procedural failure.

2. Judicial Review on Scope and Timing
The courts have actively stepped in to define the scope and timing of the President's pardon power, effectively limiting its application:
* Pardon Before Conviction: The Court of Appeal has held that the power of pardon can only be exercised over persons who have been tried and convicted by a competent court. A pre-conviction pardon would negate the constitutional presumption of innocence.
* Pardon While on Appeal: The Supreme Court has ruled that a President (or Governor) cannot exercise the power of clemency/pardon over a case while the person's appeal against conviction is still pending before the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. Doing so is considered an overstep of executive authority into the judicial domain.
In summary:
* The judiciary cannot directly overrule a pardon based on its opinion of the person's guilt or the President's discretion (the merit).
* The judiciary can effectively set aside or void a pardon if the executive violates the Constitution by failing to follow the correct procedure (consulting the Council of State) or by exercising the power in a manner that interferes with the judicial process (e.g., pardoning someone whose appeal is still pending).
Well clearly the issue is that the government should have waited before issuing the pardon, not that they can overrule a pardon that follows all laid down rules.

And obviously this was not the case or the issue in front of the Supreme court, so this looks more like a reminder than a judgement. Also if it was a judgement on the matter, it would be final and irrevocable, and obviously it is not, as the President can reinstate it now.

Just another own goal by his staff and advisers, if the AGF was involved in this it is really really sad and it seems incompetence is everywhere in the country.

The fact that your shepherd is looking half caste or oyinbo does not make it a Caucasian Shepherd as Caucasian Shepherds can come in any colour.

It is the size of the dog (and if you are very observant, the ears) that will let you know the difference between a normal German Shepherd and Caucasian Shepherd.

Your dog, and most of the other dogs I have seen on this thread are way to small to qualify.

Uncle you advised her to do so and I'm tellingbyoubof thr implication: It comes when you are due for confirmation.
What implication?

None of us is God, you don't have a crystal ball to see the future and know what will happen, or do you?

My advice to her was based on realism and PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I stated this clearly when I realised how dire her case was and that she had put out this query more than once.

To make it clear once more:

1.Legally the Bank cannot withhold her reference
2.Legally the Bank has no business witholding her salary and making her financially liable for a bad loan that she has no stake in or was not given out fraudulently.
3. From personal experience, it is better she moves on to another Bank to continue her career if she has a solid offer.

This last piece of advice is based on the assumption that the loan she has given is irrecoverable, especially with all the information she has given so far which strongly suggests that to serious people.

And instead, some of you are misleading her by asking her to contact INTERPOL...I mean come on, INTERPOL for a bad cheque huh

it is not everything we must give advice on when we know we don't know what we are talking about.

And that is why I’m here, seeking for advice on how to recover the loan, if possible through interpol
All I'll add is I wish you the best.

You think it's easy to resign and move on? Most recovery suspension lettersninform you that you are not permitted to resign during the period. If you resign and move on to other banks, what happens to your confirmation as you need reference from your previous place of employment.
Uncle where did I say it was easy to move on.
By the way did she specifically tell you that her own letter says she cannot resign?

Also even if the letter says you cannot resign, did one go to school without school going through you?

There was no collateral, the only security used was insurance bond, and other banks cheque (which was presented and bounced back)
I just realised you are a woman and you have asked this question before and I had answered you then.

I seriously hope you have taken my suggestion of moving to the other bank seriously.

Just to encourage you a little bit more, the advice I gave you earlier was coming from personal experience as I worked in sales and had colleagues who went through the exact same thing you did.

One thing I noticed is the women struggled to manage their suspensions due to apprehension and worries while the men simply moved on with life usually in another bank.

They say no situation is permanent, which is quite true in banking (as they could call you back whenever they feel like), but we are all adults and have meaningful lives to live, no manager or institution has the right to be playing with your future and giving you high bp for simply doing your job.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Bank Loan Recovery Suspension by AndroBlaze: 1:52am On Dec 09, 2025

I 7understand your case. In Nigeria, the law favors the rich and connected.

One advised you to sue. Most lawyers are unwilling to offer pro bono services because of legal filing costs and you that has not been paid, how do you intend to fund such projects in industrial court.

Getting justice is difficult. Have you found out which country he migrated to? The actual location. That's a start.

The ones on recovery suspension with physical customers find it difficult talk more of a customer that relocated.

Worse still, you must report for duty everyday and the months you were not paid, those salaries are gone and you are not allowed to resign within this period.

What a very difficult situation to be in.
Like I said before it is because people allow them to get away with this rubbish that they do it.

To make it crystal clear, the customer that ran away has no business or legal liability with the account officer. If he was found today, the account officer cannot personally sue him on any grounds.

We need people to be brave enough to sue these banks for this rubbish they do, as it is not legal and not done anywhere in the sane world.

To make it clear the banks can take measures against there employees only if they feel the employee illegally gained from this situation or failed to do due diligence. They also need to prove this legally and not be suspending staff without pay.

Only in Nigeria will a Commercial bank with a public license be acting like a local moneylender.

pak:
I really don't know the specifics of this story so I am hesitant to judge on this but my comment is based on my own experience at Lafia/Larmude.

First off, based on the reports, the incident did not happen in Yola, Lafia/Larmude is perhaps an hour away from the capital - Yola.

Two Lafia/Larmude has a reputation for being a volatile town and in many occasion have been reported to attack security operatives, block the federal roads that crosses thru the town (which incidentally is the only road that leads to the far North east) once that road is blocked, nobody can proceed into or outside the North east.

I have been stuck in Larmude for about 7 hours while travelling due to a similar situation, local boys attacked a Police (or civil defense, can't remember which now) vehicle and the security operatives shot to repel and killed one of them and hell was let loose. the roads were blocked and by evening the indigenes started attacking travellers stuck on the road side.

I was personally attacked by two boys but I fought them back, clung to my bag and screamed for help. At some points all the travellers were told to huddle together in one area to defend ourselves against the thugs who were all locals.

Luckily for us, the military was actually stationed not too far away and when they saw the situation was getting out of hand - it was night and vehicles were piled up for kilometres and the boys were not letting off and worse, they were robbing passengers, the soldiers decided to swoop in, firing gunshots directly at those boys.

The situation never got to mainstream media but I am sure a lot of people might have been killed that day because I remember clearly that the soldiers were shooting directly at them.

Anyway, that's my experience with that town and I can't say much about this particular incidence but Larmude definitely has a bad rep when it comes to violence (note that the story mentioned chobo speaking militia, this is one of the tribes around that area, they are almost perpetually involved in communal crisis from what I heard ) and I can sort of guess why security operatives might have acted overboard
Thank you for volunteering this your story 👍🏾

If your solar charger is getting you up to 98% then thats fine then.

I also have a smaller 12v LFP setup in another flat and it's the solar charger that also takes it past 14.6 on lead acid settings and I do this by making the solar controller do equalisation.

As for your Anjing, it should be able to take it to at least 14v if you put it on manual settings and leave it on lead acid switch.

These last screenshots seem to show that everything is fine, as charging to 100% is not really necessary but it would be nice to know if overvoltage protection on the BMS is working.
