See, Amorim is at United today simply because he was very close to Hugo Viana that City had hired to replace Txiki as Sporting Director. Then his agents put it in the news that City's ultimate plan was to lure Viana and consequently Amorim to the City job. United rushed in to get Amorim and the rest is history.

Imagine how insulting it would've been for me to come to tell people Amorim isn't being considered by City. That's how I feel about the people who think Maresca was ever in the running to replace Pep.

Saka is competing with Palmer and Bowen for the right wing. Rashford is competing with Gordon and Eze for left wing. Morgan is the starting 10 under Tuchel with Bellingham as backup. Foden hasn't played much under him but with his scintillating form, he's definitely going to the world cup.

All boils down to form & achievements leading to the WC. Morgan is currently playing from the left for Villa so that's an option for Tuchel. He didn't play well in the last 2 qualifiers when he was behind Kane.

Pep always sees out his contracts and this current one runs till Summer of 2027. If you're asking me, he'll most likely extend it again. I already said it earlier in the season that last season was a curse & blessing in disguise. Blessing because he is motivated. These new crop of players are exciting him. He has been saying it. His wife don ku ku leave am, so no pressure to retire anymore. His children are fully behind him.

Speaking about potential replacements, it is neither Arteta nor Maresca (lol). Kompany, Flick & Fabregas have better odds in that order. Nagelsmann was also an option but it looks like he'll head to Liverpool after WC 2026.
