Trevor012:No. I just showed you how one person can be the "source" and the rest will just copy + paste. Just like with what Alex Cook did today. |
Trevor012:1 plus 1 doesn't mean 2 years. It means 1 year left with an option to extend for 1 more year. The difference between what I'm saying & what you're saying is, the reason for the plus 1 option. I said that option is so they could sell him for max value. For e.g if Palace had that option for Guehi, they'd have asked Liverpool for £70m last summer. That's the point. If Mbuemo had 2 years left, it would be listed as 2 years. Not 1 year plus 1 option to extend. |
Trevor012:He wouldn't. Didn't you see where I posted that City are notorious for being secretive about salaries? Didn't you see how I posted that nobody can verify anything Berger posted? How noncredible he is per City? So yes, Berger like Alex Cook just made that figure up from thin air. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. |
Trevor012:That's my point. They didn't. You don't know that the £140k includes bonuses. Capology and the rest rely on estimates. They get it wrong & right sometimes. They are not final arbiters. That's the point I've been trying to make. Nobody signs a fringe asset like Marmoush (sub option for Erling) to pay them £290k a week. If you believe City are paying him that, ride on. I don't. |
Trevor012:These diversionary tactics don't work on me. I've underlined what your article said so you can read it again, this time, slowly. It says even though his contract was to expire next summer (from last summer meaning in 1 year or 12 months), Brentford knew they had that option to extend [so they could make more money SELLING HIM]. So no need to waste anyone's time. I already told you, the option to extend existed so they could sell at max value. Not that he had 2 years left or that they had triggered it.
|
Trevor012:No, he's from Sky Germany. So yes, he's privy to transfer fees and potential transfers for Clubs doing deals with German clubs. I said he's not an ITK related to City so how would he know what City want to pay a player? That's why I mentioned the internals. The latter has to do with player/agent & the buying club. Has zilch to do with Frankfurt. Try again. |
Trevor012:I asked you what aspect of the athletic article on Grealish' Villa salary did they claim that the £140k figure included bonuses? |
Trevor012:I mean, if another source already has a figure lower than what you're insisting on, isn't that proof that what you're insisting on is unsubstantiated? Why wouldn't I give an analysis to justify my claim? Did anyone show you their salary breakdown? |
Trevor012:Transfer fee is easier to determine, dude. 😆 Simply because one of or both teams have to disclose what is being sent vs what is being received. Financial transparency requirements determine it. That's why for e.g nobody could refute City only paid £51m for Erling's release clause. This is basic. Salaries are a different kettle of fish. You'll need multiple corroborations or at times the agent declares it. That's how it works. Next. |
Trevor012:"it was widely reported" - post it. "They'll keep their best player" - crapology. I said post where Brentford mentioned they were going to trigger it or that they had. That's how the extra year will materialize. This is from your own link. Says nothing about what you're claiming.
|
Trevor012:Patrick Berger, like Plettenberg are tier 6 for England and even worse so for City. Not only is he not privy to anything related to City, just like Alex Cook, anybody can post whatever crap they want & the rest of the "ITKs" just regurgitate it. There's a difference between knowing a transfer fee vs the internals. Believe what you want.
|
Trevor012:Post exactly where anyone told you that the £140k excluded bonuses. I'm waiting. |
Trevor012:No, I'm giving you multiple reasons why its crapology. If you believe a £77m asset, Josko was offered £120k a week before his new contract this season that bumped him up to £200k, but Marmoush a cheaper and older fringe asset was offered £290k, straight from Frankfurt. Why am I having this conversation with you? Meanwhile, I can post other sources that even tendered £250k/260k as his salary. Why didn't you post that but insist on the £290k that you cannot verify from anywhere? |
Trevor012:Where did Capology get Marmoush's salary from?
|
Trevor012:So Jack was earning £105k after his new contract at Aston Villa? If not, how did you determine which was accurate? |
Trevor012:Post where Brentford said they were going to trigger the option to extend. Thanks. |
andrewbaba44:No, I dislike it when people make categorical statements on issues they clearly don't know zip about especially when it involves City. If you had started by asking, I'd have told you what I've been able to determine by cross-checking multiple City affiliated sources. That's how to vet information related to wages. Anyone can throw any number around and people who don't care about the quality of information they consume, will just accept it as a fact. For the umpteenth time, Marmoush doesn't earn anywhere near that figure. He was earning €2m a year when City signed him from Frankfurt. If you believe City are paying him 8 times that amount now, I have nothing to tell you. Believe what you want. |
andrewbaba44:Which figure is correct and tell me how you decided it?
|
1. From a Liverpool affiliated website. 2. MCFC affiliated (even implying he was on £100k-a-week at Palace). 3. Google AI.
|
Trevor012:Yeah like Donnarumma earns less than Marmoush? Then City gave Savio a new deal of £80k-a-week but left Doku on £50k? There are people here that argued Erling was earning some amount until your CR7 told the world he had the highest salary in the EPL while at United in 2022. You have to fact-check things.
|
Trevor012:You know Capology claims Mbuemo earns £200k-a-week, right? |
Trevor012:No, I posted that because that's not even what City's covering from his loan deal. You think Everton are paying him £225k-a-week? LOL See what Capology said he was earning after he signed that new deal in 20/21.
|
Trevor012:No, it's called an "option to extend" and the article is explaining why that option existed: so they could maximize selling him off. In other words, the option is non-existent until it is triggered. |
If anyone was wondering. Jack Grealish signed a new contract with Aston Villa in 2020 (so they'll slap a release clause on him for £100m). That new deal made him Villa's highest earner at £140k per week. Then City signed him in 2021 for the release clause and convinced him to take £75k a week according to Crapology. ![]()
|
andrewbaba44:That's what Marmoush told you or MCFC sent the salary breakdown to Capology? Anyway, it's Nairaland and low quality information consumers. |
Trevor012:I have property on the moon to sell you, if you believe this. LOL Jack Grealish is earning £75K per week ya know - from the same website. ![]()
|
Trevor012:I've told you people to dig deeper. Stop reading casual headlines and running with it.
|
Reliable journalists my foot. This is the Liverpool journalist that posted both at the same time (actually he posted the £200k first). Of course, in this day & age of X offering payouts for engagement. Which one can you see is generating more engagement? LOL.
|
raumdeuter:Utd even spent £70m on Mbuemo with 1 year left on his contract. And his salary is crazy as well. But silence from everyone else. AFC lost Havertz in summer & splurged £68m or so on Eze as an afterthought. |
Kilishihunter:Dias & Guehi (but Pep has realized he should've been giving Khusa more playing time so expect more rotations especially with Nunes at RB). Stones & Aké are definitely leaving in summer. Josko is out for 6 months (so he probably won't make the WC squad for Croatia). |
pkasso:The £200k is even because we had to compensate him for the £20m sign-on bonus every other club that wanted him free in summer were offering to pay. You're not going to offer him more money than Rodri & Foden with BdO & POTY awards to their resume. People just type whatever comes to their minds because of ignorance. There is such a thing called equity in compensation. I know you know this but I'm pointing this out to some other people. ![]() |
andrewbaba44:The guy man is posting fake numbers. In fact, if Fabrizio hadn't posted that the transfer fee was £20m, Liverpool fans cosplaying journalists like Alex Crook had already claimed it was £35m. They are inflating everything to make it look like that's why he selected City. |
