Again it doesn't work like that, or else you can pretty much quote anything and anybody.
It is not up to me to disprove your claims, it is up to you to prove your claims. I can be more tolerant to your unsubstantiated claims when they come from a source which I identify as credible (Wikipedia is not a credible source to any educated person).
Enough lessons for today, you are really below average in intelligence. You seem to have the intelligence of a 13 year old. And that is probably your age.
Boohoo.

You are so slow I have to spell it out for you.

To prove that the Wikipedia screenshot was not credible, you have to point out the aspects of what I posted that were incorrect.

Your time starts now.

No, actually the laziest argument in the world is that if quoting Wikipedia. The links and citations which you talk about, it is up to you to go through them and present a proper credible source if any such thing exists for your claim.

Wikipedia is not a credible source, it is only there to help you, not to replace proper research. Whenever I use Wikipedia, I go further into the research and get to credible sources and valid arguments, I never present Wikipedia as a source.
This cunt is going to teach me about research.

That is me helping you to do your own research.
The laziest argument in the world is "don't quote Wikipedia".

No, it doesn't work like that. You don't graduate from a school which doesn't deliver masters degree and then get a master's degree 30 years later when the school starts delivering master's degree, 😂 you are talking like a teenager. It seems you don't know much about universities.

Edit. By the way, the USA war college started delivering master's degrees in 1994, as I suspected, that was long after Buhari had attended the college.

I said clearly that I may be wrong. Now, bring a more reliable source than Wikipedia, and also show the year when the United States war college started delivering master's degree. It is all in the nuances.
I should help you do your own research?

Even if US War College was not issuing a master's degree at the time Buhari went there to do a training on strategic studies, whatever diploma he was issued at the time will be upgraded to what the school now offers without asking.

By the way, it is the same reason someone can go to a school before it was "founded". Just like ExxonMobil as a company started in 1999/2000 after the merger of Exxon and Mobil. But some idiotas on this thread may argue that Tinubu lied about working for ExxonMobil in the early 90s because the company was only formed in 1999.

I don't know of any military training at that level especially in the era when buhari did his military training. Even up to today, the military sends its petsonemnelbto normal universities to get masters degrees. I think that nowadays, some specialised military courses can deliver bachelor's degree, I don't think they can deliver masters as of yet (I may be wrong). But they are few and recent. Military institutions are not there to give soldiers civilian diploma, they are there to teach them the best way to kill, how do you translate that to a civilian diploma?
Okay sir.

I get this. I also know nothing will come out of it at the supreme court.

I'm just wondering why he didn't just pick a certificate he requested for and save us all the drama.

Can you make any sense of it? You went to school, graduated, had reasons to request for your certificate from the school, the school issued it, then you didn't pick it only for you to submit another that will always raise questions about it's integrity.
Questions will be raised by stupid people. You mean Dumbos who asked for WASSCE from Buhari even when he had military trainings in the US etc that are on the same level as acquiring a master's degree? Don't you see the ignoramuses that still make such crass jokes till today? The hordes of them are on this thread.

Intelligent people can whittle out fluff first and then zero in to plausible explanations. 1997 was a very precarious time for a NADECO-ist like Tinubu when Kudirat, Rewane etc had been assassinated by Sergeant Rogers that one had to be careful about potentially exposing ones residence. If Tinubu felt that way, he could be disincentivized from picking up his diploma.

That is why the real meat would have been did he claim Toronto when he schooled in Ogbomosho? Did he claim to be a 4pter when no honest institution would have conferred a participation certificate on him?

I don't need to bother my head in speculating when the school gan gan have verified that he went there and graduated from there.

Forget the man's checkered past. He worked for freaking ExxonMobil. I am not sure people know what it means to have worked for (Then Mobil) at the time that he did. You have to be better than Frank Abagnale Jr. to elude the background verification that they would have done on him at the time. Don't ask me how I know. LOL

From your explanation...

Does the law interprete FORGERY differently depending on what it is used for...??

If as a UNILAG graduate, will you forge a replica of your certificate just because you find it boring to travel from your state to Lagos to get itand what do you think will be the outcome if your employer find out after 3 months thru careful cross examination..

Mind you in all of these, you claime that you collected d submitted certs from UNiLAG during interview..

Forgery is divergent,it ranges from replica of what you have already to an outright printing from imagination...

Your personal reasons fot the deceit doesn't in any way invalidates or softened the termed FORGERY

Can you define a crime without intent?

Or better yet, define the crime, forgery? Thanks.

Which position have I shifted? I'm just wondering why he didn't just avoid all the controversies and pick up the replacement he requested for.

Isn't that what any sensible person will do?
Don't get bogged down by unintelligent people who like to strain at gnats and swallow camels. Let's assume he actually re-made the certificate: do you really think the appearance and design is what will be the nail on his coffin?

I once mentioned here that there is a concept called the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. What the judiciary aims to do is to interpret the law AKA explain the INTENT of the law. Like why the law was actually made. That is the spirit of the law.

So why is it a crime to forge a document? To deceive in other to gain an advantage. For e.g If I claim I got my MBA from Stanford rather than Lagos Business School, will I naturally not be able to command a higher salary than otherwise?

When Nigerians forge financial documents or Letters of recommendation to obtain visas or admissions into top schools the intent there was to present oneself at a level to gain an advantage.

One could have argued that an MBA is still an MBA but you and me know that certain colleges and institutions command higher attention A.K.A benefits so the intent is clear as to why anyone will claim they graduated from Stanford rather than LBS.

Now ask yourself what Tinubu had to gain by re-making a diploma in which he did not exaggerate his class of degree or grades neither did he claim to have graduated when he did not? What would be the intent? How was he going to gain an advantage by doing so? That is what the law will check.

Any other conversation people are having here is just a wanton waste of precious time. Same as the junk about going to secondary school or not. As mysterious as those are, they mean little to nothing in the grand scheme of things. It should even add to his credit that he could make something of himself by graduating cum laude from a good institution in the USA - without having the requisite background or training to do so.

That's what should matter.

The question is a tricky way of saying what Tinubu submitted to INEC is not the version of the diploma your institution was issuing in 1979, right?

Yes that is correct but even Tinubu is not claiming that is the 1979 version of his diploma. That is the point.

That is not what they meant and that is not what the question even stated. The lawyer was being smart by half. In law it is called "asking a leading question". A very common trick which is what I wanted to use to trap Amigoss.
