They conceded the same number Laporte and VVD but Laporte was more accurate in passing and did it at a far higher volume. Then he also scored more goals if I am not mistaken. Rodri replaces Thiago as well and City will have 5 to Liverpool's 4 (considering Son should replace Mané if you won't select Mahrez who had a better season than Mané).

You are still conflating it. What you showed now is not talking about the team but the individual awards. I can prove my point in 2 ways:

1. PFA is not the same as PFA Player's. . . Salah was voted by his peers but the Union selected the team.

2. Son finished 3rd to Salah and KdB on the awards yet is not on the team. That should tell you more.

There were 6 Liverpool players on the team, and 5 from Manchester City. Liverpool dominated that list. If Rodri replaced Thiago, City would have dominated.

The tinkering argument is neither here nor there. The team of the season is based on performances. Bernardo was not suggesting all City players should make the team. He was saying the team that wins the most should have more of their players on the list compared to another team that won less or else you would have to explain why that other team was winning less despite having better performing players.

It really rubbishes the myth that lousy gatekeepers like Draymond try to peddle that playing basketball means you're an expert at all things basketball and you're the only ones that should be critiquing.

A guy like Steve Nash who's a HOF PG should not be deficient in X's and O's and caught lacking this badly. He played for years under Don Nelson and Mike D'Antoni ffs. KD is dipping because he does not want to get flak for how disastrous last season was.
