seankafor:PDP needed 21Bn to complete their secretariat in Abuja. They got all their political appointees to donate towards it. Then, even commissioners in poor states were doling out 100s of millions towards the project. The oligarchy of Dangote, Adenuga etc gave billions towards it. Over 400% of the target was met yet as we speak years later, that building was never completed. A party that did not have the gumption to complete their own headquarters, was somehow doing the heavy lifting for Nigeria. lol. |
raumdeuter:One of the failures of the Buhari administration was his appointments. However, he asked Soludo to take a role in his govt which Soludo declined. Emefiele on the other hand was appointed by their hero. Buhari only acted like the Democrat they claim he is not, by not unlawfully firing him (triple negatives I know ). The reason he gave Emefiele another term is because his [Buhari's] handlers like Emefiele. |
airmark:Once you know you don't have an argument this shows up. Please, leave me out of your cheap lies and feeble theatrics. Literally nobody expected VVD to commit to Sissoko at that point. The argument about him was always at the time Sissoko took the shot. The same stupid thing he did against United that made Milner give him a public dressing down. I have always stayed away from VVD arguments because I believe he is elite but don't try to fake meme your way out of a barefaced lie.

So Buhari built the 2nd Niger Bridge for ndi igbo with a terrible economy and it is not making the rounds even when FeeDeeFee promised same for 16 years with the best economy in Africa yet did not deliver? Issokay. |
airmark:Do you realize how high up Stones was when that counter attack started? That phase of play was not too far off from where Pep was. That should tell you the move started from close to the half way mark. See if VVD was ever in that situation for Sissoko or Son. |
donstan18:When you warn your players about making certain mistakes and they go on to make such mistakes. |
airmark:The same Grealish the whole of England was asking to start in the Euros. Signed for City and he is no longer good. To you people only KdB, Bernardo Silva, Cancelo and Diaz are good. But you can't explain why all the average Sterling, Jesus, Zinchenko were still winning the league almost year in year out. |
airmark:Because City had lost the ball in the middle again due to (good press from Newcastle) and an errant pass from City. Newcastle were following through with their tactic to use Maxim as the transition guy whenever Kyle Walker was in the wrong position. Stones had to backtrack because Maxim had alot of space to run into and is clearly quicker than Stones. All these talk for a 3-3 draw for a team that led 3-1 at their home ground lol. |
donstan18:Tottenham under Pochettino did everything to sign Grealish for 40M years before City got him. Villa did not budge. It may interest you to know that Villa is owned by rich spenders as well. There is absolutely nothing ASM has done that is comparable to half of what Grealish did for Villa. Anyone claiming ASM is anything more than what he is is simply overstating things. |
airmark:Grealish is injured. You think I am arguing that Maxim did not play well yesterday but that is not the case. I don't know what you mean by skill to wriggle out of tight spaces but he did not have any tight space in the first half. The spaces were wide and open for him to run. When it was closed, Newcastle had no outlet and relied on N. Pope and luck to get a draw from the game. You may need to cool off on the hype train. |
Emaprince:You are like almost every other nairalander. You don't know anything about me and my leanings. All you have are my factually backed posts that almost always end up being correct or prophetic. Because they challenge the things you and a few others hold dearly to, you think they are incorrect; but nobody comes back to apologize when time and time again, I have been proven right. For e.g, I make bold to say, you don't know enough about Jonathan's govt nor do you personally know the man and people close to him like I do, yet you argue with me. I have a personal relationship with the family of one of his topmost ministers at the time. When I say personal, I mean blood-related. lol. "One of" is also me being humble. You remind me of the other guy who was arguing about Atiku's ex wife. Another family I know quite well. I know the house she was staying in MD before the divorce and you may be surprised to know that I have visited it. Years back when Atiku was VP, Jennifer's brother Francis stayed at my parent's house in *** when he was running his **** business at the time. But someone who does not even know she changed her name upon marriage will argue with me. Think of the laughs I get here when I read some things. Like I have always said, feel free to believe what you want. If you want irrefutable facts, wait till after the elections when you would not be able to Buharicize the conversation. I'll wait till then to truly engage you on your uninformed position - especially as it relates to tribal predilections. |
Emaprince:lol. Me and emotional in the same argument? I am not sure you know what you are talking about. I have never campaigned against any president like Jonathan and sacking him was my greatest joy. He is by and large the worst Nigerian president in recent times. He presided over the country at the best of times and had nothing to show for it. If Buhari had appointed a competent information minister, you guys would have known how awful Jonathan was but now is not the time. After 2023 elections, godwilling, I'll remind you of most of the things Jonathan did and condoned. |
airmark:Maxim played well but he did so because he has the skill set to exploit City's weak point when using Cancelo and Walker as inverted full backs. He always had space to run into and he is quick. As soon as Walker went back into RB, Maxim was curtailed in the game. You are talking about Maxim like he is Neymar or Mbappe. I said Grealish that is not a winger is better than him in that position. Maxim is useless without space and his decision-making is zero. |
airmark:What is Maxim doing that Grealish did not do better for Aston Villa? Take-ons? Goals? Assists? Decision-making? Villa know what they are missing since Grealish left. I personally would have wanted him over Foden today even though he is not a winger. lol. |
BlueMann:Galtier is not doing anything we are yet to see. The quality of PSG to the rest of the league is like Bayern in Germany. Nagelsmann started this way last season but when the other coaches had him sussed out, he could not figure out how to switch things or motivate his players. I still don't see Messi, Neymar and Mbappe help in the defense and that was an issue Poch had last season. Not yet Uhuru for PSG or Galtier. Not yet. |
BlueMann:They are looking fluid but it is still Ligue Un and they are still susceptible to counter attacks. |
Ibime:Yes, he lacks acceleration so Pep uses Bernardo or Walker at times to help him during the counter attacks. In some games I am sure he will also use Kalvin Phillips. |
Trevor012:Because ASM is playing for a smaller team which builds its tactics around him and will always have spaces to run to since bigger teams will usually be on the attack. Let him sign for a bigger team and see how useless he will be when he has no space to run into. |
lordfalcao:Yea. You are also right, Walker is the one who helps Rodri in midfield during counter attacks. |
andrewbaba44:I usually don't like arguing about City players because I prefer haters to say other players are better and then have to still claim Pep is a fraud when we win but, Maxim only played well because Pep was using this Walker in midfield thing and Newcastle exploited it. Walker and ASM are equally matched in pace which means if ASM is ahead of Walker, Walker can't catch him. And without Walker in that midfield teams that win the ball can easily counter against City. |
cuffee:Then you are proof that the standard of the WASSCE (take note, as WAEC is the council and not the examination) has dropped. Winger is not the same as Wing BACK. Sit down and be humble. |
cuffee:Unprovoked see how you reply. And you are calling people olodo. Inverted wingback is now winger? Shame on you, dullffee. |
Lamasta:That is the difference. At least Grealish will try to pass. His issue is he is too fearful and predictable. He needs to be able to feel free and not be afraid to exploit spaces. I also think he should pass the ball faster and look towards scoring so that defenders will defend him differently. But at least, Grealish will pass. Foden is not trying to pass to help Haaland score. I understand that they are age mates and competition helps but we need Haaland to be the focal point of our attack because it will change the way teams defend us. |
Lamasta:Exactly. I am surprised to say this but we missed Grealish today. Foden was a no show in attack and again he was selfish. We should have been 2-0 up by then. |
Lamasta:Foden is beginning to annoy me. |
Foden is beginning to annoy me. |
Nick Pope playing like prime Neuer. ![]() |
andrewbaba44:Yes I explained why in my previous post. Walker had a poor game and you can see how City goes the way he goes. That is why I said he is the most important. |
lordfalcao:This is 1000% correct. Walker is an inverted wingback and a midfielder in this system. The issue is Saint Maxim was too quick so each time Newcastle won the ball high up Walker would be too advanced to catch up with Maxim who is equally fast. Pep had to switch to the old system in the 2nd half where walker is simply the RB and City got stability back. |
When I said Kyle Walker was the most important City player, I knew what I was saying. |
FirstbornWds:Of course. |
donstan18:Hmmm.

). The reason he gave Emefiele another term is because his [Buhari's] handlers like Emefiele.
