If APC tries this, then the election has been lost before it even started. I know you said the North don't vote along ethnic lines but I don't see Borno, Kano and Katsina giving block votes to a Tinubu over an Atiku. Even if Tinubu somehow manages to win, the margin is really going to be close

All PDP has to do is give the VP slot to a very strong contestant in the SS who will get them SS and SE votes.

Are you seriously banking on Tinubu winning based on votes from the south west alone?

If EFCC were EFCC, how a sitting governor who earns what he earns as salary was able to play 884 delegates $15,000 each should be worrisome.

I also insisted from the beginning on this very thread about weeks ago that Udom isn't interested in the presidency but senate and Wike made him contest. The plan was for Obi or a united southern front but Wike became a douchebag wanting more for himself.

Now this is someone who knows how politics really works. Atiku had financial backing from Northern moneybags, including Tambuwal and Saraki. They had a united front. Atiku was most sellable from the North in PDP.

Obi was most sellable in the South in the PDP but Wike decided to crave more than just being a kingmaker. And he got taught a proper lesson. All those who voted for him should be flogged. He knows nothing about economy, human rights or diplomacy. Nothing.

Tinubu's main enemies are within the South West. I can name 6 of his enemies who are heavyweights.

Even Buhari campaigned in the South South and South East - areas Tinubu hasn't visited because he's hated there and doesn't even have billboards up.

Osinbajo, on the other hand, has visited these areas and has billboards up, along with some other APC aspirants who aren't from these areas.

Show me one Tinubu campaign organisation in the South South and South East. Just one. Osinbajo has several of such.


Wike and Udom have enough money to match any candidate per se. Not their monies per se, but their states' monies.
Heck! Do you know how much Rivers and Akwa Ibom State earn from allocation and IGR?
Not even up to 30 per cent of the IGRs are documented, and the rest are unaccounted for.
Do you know how much one LGA in these states earn monthly from the FAAC, state allocation and oil-producing communities earnings?

These two have funded the PDP without fail since 2015, and funded PDP elections in various states too.

How much is Atiku worth? Just 2 days ago,the EFCC declared Rivers State accountant general wanted for 435 billion fraud. Do you know how much Wike has access to?
If you have been to Rivers State, you'd know many of the supposed illegal refineries aren't rudimentary, and are owned by people in power - people in the RVSG.

Atiku is trying by all means to placate Wike but Wike knows he (Wike) has the money and the structure to go head-on against Atiku. Atiku knows this, offered Wike a V.P. slot in January this year but Wike turned it down.

I think someone said earlier that barring an act of God, APC (and likely Tinubu will be president). I'm with that person.

Again a lot of people do not realise that Atiku is detested in the core North. Man hardly ever wins his ward, He's very much seen as Westernized.

Even the PDP Northern Governors dont like him and would likely play against him plus he's not even got his own base/followership or even structure over there.

Where is all these constants of him winning the North coming from. Buhari loathes him ( this goes way back) and would never actively or tacitly support him. Off the top of my head, I can mention 5 Northern politicians who would have Atiku scraping for leftovers

Shut up and learn. The point is you said never achieved in 10 years what Luka has achieved in 4. He got to the finals in 2006 and lost 4-2. I can only beat what's in front of me. Luka is yet to get to the finals. Very very simple fact. You rate a guy just based on his individual performance? How much a guy has to work with is quite subjective, especially when the players in question are not stars. No player on Dirk's team was even an all-star in 2006, and yet he got to the finals.

I fail to fall into the mindless hopelessness of our politics. I choose to believe that there is still a glimmer of hope. Enough can happen within a year to shift the balance of power in Nigeria.

It took only TWO YEARS after the formation of APC for them to take power from the PDP who people said was invincible. I independently campaigned vigorously for them then, I was ecstatic when they won, thinking there will be change, it didn't work out. Now we go again.
