One of these clubs is ruining football. Don't forget Real Madrid bought James Rodriguez for the same amount that City spent on KdB but City is ruining football. Lol

Better manager. Better at managing resources. You play City only 2 times in the league. Win 36 other games and you win the league. lol |
Yea you would have run from England to Germany because the person who prevented you from winning in Germany had moved to England to stop you from winning again. There are levels to this thing. |
The Celtics are better but the Bucks have the best player in the world which is the only reason this is a series. |
Giannis is unguardable. |
timay1:Manchester united did not back out, Haaland rejected them for Dortmund. |
OhBritannia:It is not true. First, it is in his 3rd year and second the figure is between 150 - 200 M - nobody is sure what it is because both Haaland's camp and City have denied it. By the way, triggering a release clause does not mean the player will leave. It depends on if the player wants to leave. That is why Arsenal could not prise Suarez out of Liverpool when Wenger activated his release clause of 40M at the time before he left for Barcelona the next season. |
Spy360:Nah I disagree. You cannot tell a high line from a set piece. The PK was from a set piece and Cedric fouled Son at the byline. Has nothing to do with a high line. The second goal was from a corner kick (Saka was fouled by the way) and after a flick, Harry Kane was at the back post to head it in. Nothing to do with high line as well. If you want to see a high line watch how Son got in behind Dias and Matip when Spurs played City and Liverpool. They had no single one v one chance against you guys because Arteta took that away from them. Their crucial goals came from a dodgy penalty and a corner kick. |
I knew I was angry the other day but that does not mean I would trade Steph, Draymond or Klay in that order. I was only angry because those vets knew exactly what to do to get that W at Memphis but they decided against it. What did they need to do? Play smarter and with energy. Box out during rebounds, be ultra aggressive when defending, fight for the loose ball, protect the ball well when passing, take less contested shots and pretty much just be gritty. They just could not get themselves mentally to do it because they knew they still had a chance to do so at the Chase center which is why they collapsed. Memphis is not 39 points let alone 50 points better than GSW on their best day. So when you see a scoreline like that without their best player, it is just down to effort. We all saw Timberwolves win 4 games in their series against Memphis without proceeding to the next round because they too were naive. Are you going to tell me Minnesota are better than this current Warriors? Not at all. Sure, Memphis have height advantage over GSW but this last loss was the only game they outrebounded GSW in the whole series. That shows what I have been saying: lack of effort. Draymond said they got so used to guarding Memphis a certain way because of Ja and that readjusting to the new way Jenkins has them playing is like starting a new series. In part, I believe him. But this Memphis team has no one initiating their offense and they are not that great a shooting team to have done that much damage to GSW. So now that we have all had a few days to bi nu and Kpa ri wo, we will give them the business and get set for the WCF. Meanwhile, I don't fear either the Suns or the Mavericks. My argument has always been in comparison to the Bucks and Celtics because that is the true ECF being played. I do prefer to play the Bucks though, because Jrue Holiday is competing with Mrs Curry as who is actually Steph's beech. Giannis can have 45 per game and still catch that L with their lengthy players who are not that great at guarding the perimeter. But you see the Celtics, if they can get a player that is better at game management than Smart and Tatum, the series would have been over. Forget Giannis' heroics, the Celtics are better than the Bucks. E too clear. |
And while we are at it. Here is Alcoholic gambler Paul Merson again. Things we love to see.
|
We still remember. But don't worry people on Nairaland say the league is irrelevant so they must be right. ![]()

Oh well. |
daveP:If your line is not up to match the position of your midfield and forward players, Kane and Hojberg will occupy that half space and keep playing through balls for Son to run in behind. The reason Holding got sent off is because he stretched out his elbow and arm to hit Son. That is a yellow. Son was never going to win that ball. Their first goal also came because Cedric nudged Son and fouled him. Not because of the line. |
daveP:Holding was just stupid. That second yellow was clear. I don't feel the game is over though but it won't come from being slick. Arsenal need to get a Spurs player like Davies sent off. |
50d33q:I agree. I don't feel the game is over if Spurs get a player sent off. |
Spy360:I don't think your line is high. I feel like that first PK could have been ignored in such a high tension game but the second yellow is well deserved. I have observed that Martinelli does not look up when he receives the ball alot of his dribbles would be unnecessary if he just made the simple pass to expect it back in a 1-2 format. |
You guys need Pepe in this game. Tell him to dribble into the box every single time to either get a PK or a Spurs player sent off. It does not matter that you may lose or not but protecting the result as is is useless. |
Blueelf:This is cap bro. GSW aren't missing KD. GSW are buying their own hype and getting careless. Draymond is more interested in vlogging and podcasting rather than playing the game. Steph Curry is much more invested in his commercials, interviews and shows outside of basketball. Klay is trying hard to prove that he should have made the NBA top 75 list. The evidence is in how characterless and careless they have been. That game got to 28 -29 and soon after the collapse happened. How many of the TOs were forced? Barely any. As soon as Ja Morant got hurt GSW felt like the series was a forgone conclusion and they have played that way. Don't forget we lost to Indiana after their back to back, at Chase center and with Rick resting all his starters. That should tell you alot. We thank KD for his time here but we don't need him. We won without him. Let him prove he can win without us. He was both a great and a cancerous player while here. He made us play iso heavy basketball and whenever we did that we struggled in games that we should have easily won. So he was a gift and a curse at the same time and with all his toxicity post leaving us, he is a forgotten memory. A useless, tainted and faded one. I don't believe any GSW fan saw this roster beginning of the season and felt championship. But when we started with 20-2 or so and beat all the biggies convincingly our expectations were rightly adjusted. Now we have recalibrated it. I won't lose sleep over entitled and woke multimillionaires who are mostly dummies without their talent or money. Eff all of them for that show of shame yesterday. |
If you kill for your God your God is a fraud. Period. |
Trevor012:In Mortal Kombat, we call this FATALITY. |
Joezinho:This, I agree with. |
Finesse007:Alisson and VVD? Keita? How much was Zinchenko? Is Foden Academy or Kindergarten? Congrats on 3 UCL final appearances and what not. Put a sum on it, how many trophies has that been in 7 seasons? I'm really interested in the team Klopp inherited etc and the money spent compared to City. Don't forget to include the entire package like salaries and bonuses then we can compare it to trophies won. Thanks man! |
Trevor012:A player that started the season with a broken face courtesy Agent Rudiger. Dislocated ankle from the Nation's league and numbness in his eye socket from the broken face injury. Fergie once said "what do you expect...it is Phil Dowd?" Well, what do you expect from a scouser? |
Skrrrrrrr:I could not have said this any better. |
Godx:Never forget. Liverpool have the best manager, best defenders, best midfielders, best attackers but somehow a fraud is on course to win 4 EPL titles in 5 years to their only 1. I tell you a mystery. |
Kilishihunter:Definitely don't want him to leave. I feel he is hyping the desire to be close to his family and in the long run he'd regret it. But trust me I won't be surprised if he leaves because he really is homesick. I would have taken FDJ as a replacement because Pep craves the kid and tbh I see his immense talent but right now, I need Bernardo to stay. |
benji93:lol. That cute nonsense, social media heavy, pass pass, hesitate to shoot, squeak out a fortuitous win and then rush to brag online was coming. I am not being sarcastic but I won't be surprised Warriors lose this series with Ja Morant out. I won't even care because they won't beat Suns or the East playing this way. It has to be said, Steph has been awful in the playoffs including that last game that he used free throws to stat pad. I'd rather lose to the Grizzlies now than have to suffer through a WCF where Doncic or Booker/CP3 take turns to molest this useless team. Eff the Warriors and their woke ass. Eff Steve Kerr. Eff Draymond. Eff Klay Dumpson and Eff Steph Lurries. |
jpmoriarti:Haaland forced Dortmund to put 60M Euros as his release clause. Otherwise, Dortmund would have sold him for 170M. |
Kilishihunter:Pep does not want him to go but Bernardo Silva wants to be close to his family in Portugal which is why he is looking at a team in Spain. He wanted to leave after last season as well but changed his mind because no solid offer came and the only offer from Atletico Madrid was lousy as they wanted to pay only 40M for him. |
The Celtics are just better especially without Kris but man Giannis needs some help. |
Davidganna10:I thought it was 6 games but you are right. |
