Leave bible here and face reality. If it is not working out, take her back unless you enjoy seeing her kill your child or burn the house, then you will remember her root.

Leave that matter of in laws here. Take her back and promise to assist them pay her school fees if you have enough. Staying with you and constituting havoc would end up giving you the hell of problem you would regret for the rest of your life.

If you want Timothy in the bible as you have quoted, invite him to your house for him to see things. Maybe he will help you out. You can as well invite John from the bible too.

MarryMeee:
I have been with my husband for a while now and I can say we have been doing well for ourselves. But i have a problem with some relatives that are turning us into their atm machine. My husband has an uncle who has always had other people taking care of his children (5children from 3 different women) for him whilst he goes out to enjoy himself without a care in the world.

Last year my in laws asked us to take in one of his daughters so she could go to school in the city. I was hesitant at first since i did not know much about her or the father, but eventually I warmed up to the idea. Fast forward 6months later, I am sick and tired of it. She does not do her homework without being forced and sometimes she skips school. I have already been called 3times by her teacher making complaints about her attitude in class and her perfomance. If you do not dig for her homework from her bag she will not do it. This girl is already 11 and she is only in grade 4 and she bed-wets.

I do not usually resort to beating a child because I have told myself that should be the last resort, but at the same time I am tired of buying things for her because she is always destroying them. She will wear her best clothes to go play with mud outside and she has turned her school shoes in slippers. She is always losing her stationery and she has torn 2 of her school uniforms already. She once broke the toilet and we had to get a new (not toilet seat, i mean the actual damn toilet) and she broke the plasma in the living room barely 5months after we got it.

As if she is not a big enough headache, her father always finds himself in my house almost every month and he will not leave until you compensate him for coming to your house uninvited. Of course he will expect you to give him money and groceries to take home.

Everything has been frustrating my husband as well and he is considering taking the girl back to her father's house as soon as schools closes and to be honest i really do not have a problem with that, but my issue is that his family is against the idea because its not a christian thing to do (1Timothy 5v8)

To those who have been in the same situation, how did you resolve it amicably and where did you draw the line?

Christianity Etc › Re: How Nigerian Pastors Breed Corruption In Nigeria By Pastor Sunday Adelaja. by andyanders: 10:47am On Jun 26, 2016
I am glad this is coming from a real true man of God. Most pastors in Nigeria has turned churches to something else and revolves their lives on how good you can display your wealth by paying tithes and offering.

Most, not all of them are after worldly things. They show love to those who bring tithes to them or sow the so called seed not minding where the money is coming from. All money coming are termed miracle blessings and should be brought to their churches as tithes and offering. Most armed robbers will go and rob and come and pay tithes and the pastor who is not is spirit will collect the tithe and be praying for the person. With the prayer on him, he will proceed to rob more. Those in government will embezzle money and come to the church to pay tithe and their pastor will pray for them and they will go back and steal more.Politicians will kill to get into power and when they get there, they steal money that their forth generation will not finish. When they have stolen the money, they will proceed to build churches and mosques here and there. Their pastors will now be their spiritual fathers and be praying for them day and night for more stealing and blessings. We have lost it.Too bad.

This Pastor is right because most of our problems comes from the alter.

comradeodunze:
What did you just say? The lady is at fault...guy go back to sleep.
I am not saying the lady is at fault per say. What I earlier said is that she should have inquired about the culture of the people before going into the marriage with the guy.
Our society is a complex one with different cultures and the subject herein=Yoruba, some part of them, like Oyo, do give tribal marks on the faces of their people of which when most of them travel abroad, they look horrible.

Like where the lady comes from, it is hard to find their people marrying from there cus of culture differences like this issue at hand.

Now, the parents of the lady is complaining that their lives are in danger because the lady ran away from home because they wanted to circumcise her children and that it was a taboo if they fail to circumcise those children hence she took off. Now that her life is in danger because of the silly act of her husband's people,is the lady not in problem too, considering the fact that the people said that it is a taboo and the circumcision must be done?

Who would wanna circumcise her female child in this modern day.Too bad. For me, it was her fault getting married to that kind of family.

Thats why it is important to make enquiries about your partner's family tradition b4 gettin married
Exactly on point. Live In Lovers are the culprits of this problem. Going to get married to a place you do not understand their tradition is a problem. How can this kind of people be talking about circumcision in this modern day is something I cannot understand. The lady is at fault because I believe that she went into the marriage against her parent's advise.

I'm sorry but I have to be crude here.
You must really have nothing or no purpose in life to want to end your life cause of a mere lady that will just cry on the day of your burial and move on the next day to date or probably marry even your best friend.
I don't get how people love and put so much responsibility on humans like them, that you base your joy, happiness, good wellbeing on someone else a mere mortal that can easily deceived.
From the begining of adam and eve there has been deception, lies, cheating etc.so don't expect it to stop now.
Before you love someone total, study them are they Contented with the little things they have or you give, do they love you with the same measure you do to the, integrity what they stand for and most especially their true relationship with God .
Cos guy times are wicked and evil
Forgive her for your sake but never go back to her,if she was contented with you as a man in the first place she never would have cheated.
You are exactly on point. Only a fool would wanna kill himself/herself because of letter 'love' that hardly exist now.

Op, I sincerely pity your ignorance about what is termed love. Listen, the worst thing you can do in life is killing yourself because of a woman. Maybe you passed through college and college never passed through you. After spending yrs in school, came out, now serving and you still went ahead to drink poison in order to kill yourself because of love? Mehn, you do not know this world. If you had died, straight to hell and the same lady would wanna be fvcking another man during your night vigil.

You are a man. You have to man up and learn how to be a manager of crises. The worst thing you can do in life is to die because of a lady or a lady to die because of a man. Only foo---lish people take their life for this act.

My brother, there are lovely ladies out there.

You can only tell me now that there were hidden things both of you did in the past that is affecting you negatively now hence you don't want to let her go.

Get the best of life and forget this lady. If you are married, it would have been another thing. Never take her back no matter what if you want to be alive again.Don't be silly again.

Op, you got it right. Some people can mistake their warm smile to mean she is ready for you. That is their marketing strategy in order to make their customers have a relaxed time.

If one is not used to their life style, you will be tempted to think negatively. Nigerians act otherwise hoping that the way ladies here act, is the way it is over there. When you ask a lady her name, age and state, she will gladly tell you. Ask her if she is married , single or separated, she will answer you.If you now try to go to any area outside the above state and she say 'Nope' back off.

With what is stated herein by Jimoh, UBA messed up by giving a Clean Bill, stating that the Airline was not owing. With that, the company should be exonerated from the loan. They legal department of the bank supposed to have briefed them on this as per the legal implication of writing such letter. Maybe they wrote that in good faith, like Banker Customer relationship not knowing that if any problem like this comes up, with such a letter, the customer can deny the loan based on the letter of clearance issued by the bank.
Politics › Re: EFCC Can Investigate And Prosecute Fayose now: Falana by andyanders: 8:57am On Jun 23, 2016
Reyginus:
Just a little correction, bro. The EFCC froze the Account of Adamawa State Government and not Nyako's. The two are entirely different. Nyako's account was not touched. It's good we don't misinform people.

You see, in this fight against corruption, if our method fall short of due process it becomes corrupting. The EFCC should have gotten a court order permitting the act. Any contrary act, like we have now, is both corrupt and corrupting.

A governor can be investigated, that's true. Where Falana fails is to tell us if it's right to freeze the account of a sitting governor without recourse of a court of law. We shouldn't corrupt the system in the name of fighting corruption. Let's follow due process.
Have you not read that EFCC obtained a court order to that effect hence their action? Note that the officers at EFCC are not just a dumb assss, they know the right steps in handling issues like this hence a court order was obtained to have the account frozen. How can he say that the bank financed his election? Note that movement of money anywhere in the world can be traced. Transactions= deposits/withdrawals in any account can be traced. So, if EFCC inspectors investigated those accounts and found out that fraudulent transactions were made to those accounts by people under investigation, those accounts should be frozen.

Since the governor enjoys the so called stup--id immunity, he cannot be prosecuted now until he is out of office, but the proceeds of the said crime should be held as evidence till then when the prosecution would commence. EFCC is not taking him to court now, but holding the proceeds as evidence until when due to have him out of office for prosecution.
