suasmablow: And why was saraki, dogara and lasun, not summoned when they went against the decision of the party at first? Why was dino not summoned even in the presence of a petition from sen.tinubu. APC is not enshrining enough discipline in the party as regards the attitudes of her members. I hope this doesn't tear the party apart. People ride to victory on the party's platform and later behave like independent candidates with total disregard for the decisions and principles of the party. While its necessary that the party reconciles its members and unite the party, the only way Nigerians can be reconciled is a thorough investigation in the padding allegation and prosecution of those found wanting. Meanwhile I think all the implicated principal officers on the grounds of morality should resign. Well said and on point. APC has shown that they are after their selfish interest and not of public interest. If APC can be annoyed over Mr. Jubril's action, then I have lost hope in APC government. I now look up to President Buhari to use his integrity to now see that justice is done on this issue since he made it clear from the beginning that " he is a friend to Everybody and a friend to Nobody' Buhari is a man that the whole world recognizes and for the first time in the history of this great nation, that an American President, President Obama, would come on air to recognize a President from Nigeria as a corrupt free and a man of integrity. |

APC is not getting it right here by saying that the Jubri erred as he did not consult the party before going to the party. This issue of national importance.
Now, is APC saying that they would have resolved the issue internally when they are aware that what is involved here is public fund?
APC is not getting it right here. Let the whole world know the wrongs going on internally within the house.
They have been a disgrace to themselves and their families for what they have been doing. Despite the huge amount and wealth they have stolen, they still would wanna keep stealing. |

EmeeNaka: 109million for Nnewi North,Nnewi south and Ekwusigo federal constituency? That's such a pity. Igbos don't know how to loot. That's the most sincere but grossly insufficient constituency project figure. What will 109million do for Nnewi north, Nnewi south and Ekwusigo Federal constituency? For his pocket and not for his people. He has girlfriends to share the little money for. One small sales boy in Nnewi is bigger than that amount of money been requested by that dishonorable member from Nnewi.Shame to him and those that sent him. The main boss from the North allocated 4 billion to himself because he knows the exchange rate hence the amount he requested and himself from the East is asking for 109million only. |

I have many friends and relatives in that area and and I visited the area about 3 weeks ago. Now, up till now none has called me to corroborate any news of military killing innocent inhabitants of that area whether intentionally or unintentionally. Right now, most people there are strictly indoor and movement as been restricted.
Which makes me to ponder on the bases of ur post. I mean, we that have everything to lose are not bothered, in fact, we encouraged it. So why should you? Believe me, if there's any extrajudicial killing people there will know.

OP, no one is doubting whatever your complaint is. I know how it feels for rape victims. Only the victim knows what she passed through in the hands of a rapist. I have been an advocate for severe punishment for rapist even a death penalty.
Rape victims from this part of the world go through pain and stigma and most have resulted in the victims taking their lives after.
Having said that herein, I would wanna tell you that putting his pix herein right now, is not the best because he has not been taken to court, convicted and pronounced guilty before you can now tag him as a 'Rapist'
You should first report him to the authorities, get him arrested and the victims should be ready to open up in order to testify against him and get him convicted. If your friend back off and say that she is not willing to come up to testify against him, the law will turn against you.
Follow the right step as it is the duty of the police to now publish his pix if they have enough evidence to have him declared WANTED. |

Send a Nigerian policeman to any place and if money is not involved, he will not perform or go to his place of duty. Send any government official for any official duty and there is nothing he can cut and make money from it, he will not go. Send any politician for any official duty and he cannot discover ways to steal money, he cannot take up the job. If you die, you are on your own. Dasuki was given security fund to handle, he become an ATM machine and if you are a carrying card member of PDP, you must become rich while innocent soldiers were sent to be killed. One thing with some men of the Nigerian Police is that even when you obey and stop, and the officer wants to kill you, he will.I have seen some of them boasting that they can kill you and nothing will happen and as a mobile police officer, he can discharge bullets and nobody would ask him to account for them
Who is sure he was asked to stop and he refused. If you are driving and they ask you to park, even when you try to clear your car properly, they will/claim that you wanted to run away.
No common sense as you can see them consuming bottles of alcohol while on duty. Why wouldn't he kill when the alcohol takes control of his senses. |

Ochyglowsglows: @ Onegai, i will still say there is nothing wrong in her family making it seem like it wasn't that bad. U know y, cos no one would ever want to lose a loved one. I put in the little i had for mayowa and i do not regret it. In 2012,when my dad was diagnosed for lungs and liver failure, we went into huge debts trying to see that he got well, even though he was a chronic smoker, and he still kept smoking while he wa even ill, we cud av said this man isn't even helping himself and let him be especially as the doctor told us he might barely make it. But we kept borrowing to make sure he got well, eventually he died. In 2014, mum was diagnosed of dementia which the doctor said was as a result of high bp, and told us to just let her stay home and nurse her whichever we could till whenever God decides to take her. But we began to make some research on it, we took her to some other hospitals and carried out several brain scans that went into hundreds of thousands. This was just barely after recovering from paying off d debt incurred during my dad's illness. What am actually driving at is that, when u have someone very dear to u, going thru a life threatening illness. You d do whatever to save them. God is in d best place to judge if mayowa's dis wrong by painting the picture that her illness wasn't that serious (as u claim) the truth said here. In fact we Nigerians reason as if we do not reason well. Someone that her case was well made known and she stays withing here for verification if in doubt. People do not understand when other people are in pain and start painting things in a bad way. I could remember a guy who lost his dad and was looking for money. A guy he came to his house to ask for help, told him that he had no money. When the left, he now started saying that people now lie that they lost their father in order to get money. |

Agunna1: Lawyers Please Help A Depressed Soul: What Does The Law Say?
I am a known and regular commenter on Nairaland, I created this account just for this. Hear my story.
My dad died few years ago and in my house we are all girls. My dad has a boy (now a married man) whom he gave birth to when he was very young out of wedlock from another woman before marrying my mum. Meanwhile the boy grew up in our house, we didn't even know he wasn't our blood brother until I finished secondary school, to show you how tight the relationship was. Before my dad died from his sickness, the boy started acting up, giving people the impression that there is trouble in the family because he is from another woman, even during my dad's burial, well that's a story for another day.
My dad has only one house, 2 - 3 bedroom semi-detached flats. We are staying in one of the flats even before my dad died. Now, as my mum traveled and came back, the boy has padlocked the flat we are staying and rented the other flat to an unknown tenant.
Traditionally, they say women do not have a share in the property of a man. This traditional law does it include my mum who has been staying in that house with her husband before his death? Now, does it mean my mum and my remaining single sister ( we are all married except her) are not going to enter the house in which we have been staying over the years? Does he want my mum to stay in the bush or what? Please, what does the Law say about this type of issue? What does the Igbo traditional law and the English law say about this?
My mum never wanted to make any form of trouble initially but I think this is the height of the whole thing, and we are now ready to go to any length he wants us to go to.
Please Lawyers do you advise my mum to go to court? If the case is in the Law court, are they going to seal off the house knowing fully well that is where my mum stays?
Mods, please help move to front page. We need urgent advice asap. Interested lawyers should please contact me. Op, did your daddy get married to your mum legally? That is,either by tradition, court or church marriage? If yes, then she has every right over her husband's property until she is gone. Also, did your dad prepare any will before his death? If yes, then go through the will. The guy has no right over the property since your mother is alive. Get a lawyer to handle this as you have a case. |

Madam, having gone through your post, I feel your pain for loosing what you worked for. We Nigerians do start blaming a person for asking for what you have lost.If the lady needed assistance, I know you would have helped her. By taking your money and framing that she was jazzed or whatever is uncalled for.
You have the right to ask for what you lost.Since she claimed that she took the money, why must the police just take her statement and now tell you something I cannot understand.
For me, you are greater than what you have lost. People buy brand new can and it gets crashed and they let it go. For God's sake, since your husband is there with you, seek his opinion and let this go because the legal system in Nigeria is a fvck up.The police is another fraud whereby they can just sleep with her and let her go or they turn against you. They can even frame you up and say that you kidnapped the lady and they are looking for her.
So madam, look up to God as you are greater than what you have lost and learn from this that you can ONLY trust yourself and no one else. |

At age 9, he has been stealing like this, boys like him ends up becoming Anini, Oyenusi and Boko haram/Niger Delta Scavenger.
Serious something should be done about this child. How many of his school mates would he have stolen from? Countless I should guess.
Being bold enough to steal EBA andnpot of stew? Na wa oo
Anyway, he should be rehabilitate d and watched carefully Do not condemn the boy with your above statement. As little as he is, hunger has driven him to whatever thing he has done at that age. If you were privileged to be feed with silver spoon, most innocent children roam about while on hunger. Remember that his biological mother has not been with him as a rush of maybe the hunger, he can do anything. Pray not to be in his own situation. |
