You and your wife should do WES and IELTS.
I will suggest that your wife should be the primary applicant cos she's younger and she can claim sibling points. Her HND is almost equivalent to your master's degree. That money might not be enough for a family of five. In all, use CRS calculator to get estimate of what your score will look like and compare it to the least score of the last invitation, and if it's way below it, you can consider studying french.

I have Bachelor's of Engineering in Electronic and Computer Engineering. Also i have a masters in Information technology. I am also a COREN certified Engineer.
My wife has an HND in Accounting and she's also a chartered accountant (ACCA). She is about completing her Bsc this year.
I and my wife are level 12 civil servant with a federal government agency with over 10 years experience.
We both have a cumulative of about 8 million naira in FG Contributory Pension (though can not be withdrawn as cash) that can be used as part payment for proof of funds (POF)
I (aged 37), wife (aged 35). and our three kids (aged 8,5,2) all need to move to Canada for permanent residency. My wife has his brother in Canada.
What is the best and affordable route for us.

1. Do I need to do WES before IELTS. Should I do WES and IELTS alone or with my wife?
2.Do I still have success chance for Federal skill worker or Provincial Nominee Program considering my age and wifey's age (37, 35)
3.If I am the Primary applicant. Can my brother in-law (a citizen in canada) sponsorship add points for me.
4. What's the minimum point I should strive for in IELTS.
3.Is study route a better option for us.
4. Is COREN and ACCA evaluated by WES. Do I use my MSc alone for WES.

If you have the money, apply for remark and enrol for another IELTS. In my case that is what I did, fortunately, there was an upgrade in the remark.

Feeling distraught right now.My wife is our PA for Express Entry.Her IELTS score just came in Band 8 at L8.5 R8.5 W6.5 S7.5.Missed the golden score by a 0.5. I will create our profile today but what do you guys suggest?
To go in for a remark or register for a new test? The only available test dates in my area are Oct 4th and 18th CBT.Our score is at about 472 with this score.
She already took TEF and our ECAs completed.

My first ever post on Nairaland was in part 7 under a different moniker, now we dey part 11. 

Wrote my 1st Ielts in May 2018, got 7 in listening, 6.5 in writing. not sufficient to create a profile.
ECA WES - August 2018
2nd IELTS - March 24th 2019 ( LSRW - 8.5, 7.5,7.5, 6.5) writing later upgraded to 7.5
Jumped in the pool with 446 and waited
NOI Alberta - July 30th 2019
Sent my documents via post to Canada. After plenty of back and forth, my application was rejected because my work experience was not up to 1yr (long story but my fault)
I waited for a new NOI but it never came because COVID and Alberta was focused on inland applications.
That profile expired and I created a new one. Eventually around August of 2020 I clocked 3yrs work experience, CRS rose to 471 and ITA dropped on 30th September 2020.
Along the line my passport expired and I renewed it online by myself for 26k with no extra fees. came out in record time too.

Started a new Job in between and I gave myself 6months...I'm sure IRCC was laughing at me.

Numerous mails/Webform in between to VO and MP's with no response. A
Randomly logged in to my profile today 31st May 2022 to see Ghost update. Medicals passed on 28th May 2022.
Also got a response from an MP on 30th May that medicals and eligibility passed, criminality in progress and Security not started. So far the only thing that changed since the last GCMS is medicals.
Reordered GCMS notes on 11th July- still waiting. MP enquiry from one end, apparently i forgot to include my middle name so no response from there until another 20days.

9th August: woke up in the middle of the night at 1am to see my bro Venom's whatsapp saying ppr landed at 9pm-ish the previous day. I was happy for him but sad that everyone I met on this journey has either gotten PPR or landed. Got to the office and sent another email asking them if I had 2 heads. I sent the same again at 2pm and gbam 3.40pm, I got an email update. Checked portal and they were asking for Schedule A for me. 

22nd August, i logged in to see another ghost update, nothing changed on my application. The end is definitely near...i feel it
23rd i got my MP response back that timeline for the application is 26months so i should relax and come back if no response by then. Also criminality passed and Security in Progress.

Sent another round of emails again, inshort i was about to send one when I saw ppr. Today 29th of August at exactly 9.44am, i got a notification to login to my account, i thought it was another ADR but it was PPR.

Maybe they sent it with personal email.

My transcript was sent to WES by UNILAG through the electronic method and WES later sent a mail to me that they have rejected the transcript and i should go to my school and make them send it properly. My worry is that i followed all the instructions given by both institutions in my application and all the people i applied with at UNILAG did not get this mail. Lol. Some of the messages you will receive will get you more confused than actually clarifying the status of your passport.

I got this message too, seems the person was drunk typing. They sent it to a lot of people that day but it was probably a mistake. They later sent me a clearer one the next day which basically said/meant the passport is with IRCC Ghana. Track yours on the VFS site, that’ll tell you where it really is

I don't think so. I have not seen any person that has used any of these for one or more certificates. The only one I know and is quite popular here is BCS. You can make research and you can also ask those that know much about this short program

Express entry is now very competitive, people are doing everything possible to increase their scores. I doubt if you have a chance, but you can check your CRS online and compare it to CRS of those in the pool.

Note: there are other factors that can affect your CRS

Cost me N500

It's not compulsory but if you have enough money to spare, you can do it. I didn't notarized my own because of the cost, and there was no issue

People of God, please is it compulsory to notarize a gift deed from mother to daughter for proof of funds

If your score is 500 and above, you can book your medical for late July or early August, but for the police report, wait for ITA cos it has a short life span and it doesn't take too much time to get.

It's PPR!!!

This Canada journey started 2016

I applied for study visa in 2016 and 2017, both were rejected, so I decided to try EE, but my score was around 340. In 2018, I started a masters program at the national open university of Nigeria and I graduated January 2020, in between, I took several IELTS exam, however; writing and listening prevented me from getting my desire score, until August 2020.

My ECA is a testament that God still works wonders. It was at the thick of the Corona virus lockdown (june/July 2020) and all my contacts advised me to not bother applying for transcript cos they were all on lockdown, but I decided to take the step of faith by applying online and in six weeks my ECA was ready.

October 2020, I got ITA , and November 21, AOR.
May 6, 2022, PPR

I should be jubilating, however; I lost my only sister last week.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.

After a very long wait, the Lord has finally done it for me and he will do it for all those who are still waiting.

I typed this on the 28th of March and it has been waiting in my draft since......

This journey took almost 2 years and the timeline is as follows (My husband was the primary applicant)

October 2019: Verified secondary and tertiary certificates with WES
Feb 2020: Registered and wrote the exams for CIPM (final stage)
July 2020: passed CIPM exams and induction. Awaiting certificate. Also wrote Ielts and passed. However, reading was 6.0 and we sent it in for a remark
August 2020: Reading scores upgraded to 7.5 and certificate for CIPM arrived
Sept 2020: Wrote to CIPM to dispatch certificate to WES for verification but it took a while and after making calls and follow up it was sent at the end of the month.
Oct 2020: Certificate verified with WES
Oct 17th 2020: WE RECEIVED ITA. and started gathering documents and POF for one person as we were not married then
Nov 24th 2020: we submitted all necessary documents
December 2020:He did his medicals and biometric .
January 2021:Got married, Did upfront medicals and raised a webform with all necessary documents
March 2021: DId my biometrics

THEN THE LONG WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

December 2021:Booked upfront medicals with QLife for Feb 18th
January 26th 2022: Remed request from IRCC
February 18th 2022: Medicals done
February 27th 2022: ADR request (schedule A and imm5608 for me)
February 28th 2022: ADR sent and acknowledged
March 1st 2022: Medicals passed
April 22nd: PPR �����a month to our wedding anniversary

Between March 1st and March 29th, sent a lot of emails and called several times only to be told everything had been passed including eligibility and security but they didnt know why the ppr had not been sent.

It was a long wait but the Lord has been faithful.

I used 100% gift deed from my eldest brother. My dad is late, so he has power of attorney. I opened a fixed deposit with the money. Docs I submitted;
1. Notarised gift deed
2. SOA showing when money entered my account
3. Fixed deposit certificate
4. Letter of non-indebtedness
5. Reference letter from GTBank
6. Bank teller used for the deposit

PCC:
1. Submitted UK PCC
2. For Nigeria PCC, I employed the services of the now famous Inspector Moshood. Nice man. I didn't have to travel. He did it and scanned it to me. My cousin who resides in Lagos later got the hardcopy from him.

EMPLOYMENT:
I used two NOCs
1st Employment: Nysc for 1year. Docs submitted;
1. Reference letter from my school in IRCC format
2. 1 year SOA showing salary inflow which I highlighted with a transparent marker

2nd Employment: For 2years. Docs submitted;
1. Reference letter in IRCC format
2. 6months payslips. 3 from each year

EDUCATION:
Docs submitted;
1. WAEC
2. BSc statement of result
3. MSc certificate
4. IELTS result

******LONG WAIT for almost 2years*****

NO ADR except for two Re-medicals cos medical expired twice
PPR: FEB 11th 2022
COPR: Apr 5th 2022

NB: The reason I submitted extra docs for my employment in addition to reference letters was because the school and company had little or no online presence. So I just decided to add proof of payment. When I ordered GCMS notes, I saw "employer could not be verified through web search". But my eligibility was already recommended passed. And I didn't get any ADRs. Guess my hunch paid off.

Thanks to everyone for all the help and assistance. My prayer is that all those waiting for PPR, ITA or whatever, will get it soonest rather than later. Be patient with a hopeful attitude. All the best to everyone. Cheers.
