Don't be silly. All these ills doesn't stop the government from recognizing and rewarding excellence.

Will leaving them empty handed solve the issues you mentioned above?

Don't be a keyboard warrior.
The silly one is the one who can't rise above insults to read and rebutt like a normal thinking person.

I responded particularly to the comment of Onanuga calling out Nigerian citizens.

He has no business and no moral standing to do that... Average Nigerians have the full right to complain and criticize acts of the government that don't go down well with them.

I went on to explain the root cause of such widespread national displeasure.

Now, don't be silly... Learn to read and respond with your senses intact.

Thank you.

Oga, what he gave them is not my business... Read and comprehend.

I'm not even one of the people complaining about the money... All I hate is Eye service.

Asking Nigerians suffering not to complain when leaders tell them the nation is not financially equipped to pay better salaries while doling out incredible amounts for show is beyond unreasonable.

Would Nigerians be complaining if they lived better lives?!!

Besides, Onanuga was the one that made the silly comment above when he should have kept shut.

As for football money being nobody's mate, I absolutely agree...!

So, now I have to ask... How wealthy are the footballers playing in the Nigerian league?!!

I await your answer. tongue

Gettttaaaaaat!! U tink u have money more than the people u tagged above especially Angelfrost?

Wat y'all fail to understand is that some of the people criticising the government policies are doing well financially, but only want a better country for everyone. They want a better country for people like u but tribalism, party affiliation and religious bigotry have kept u blinded.

I'm doing well financially by God's grace but that won't stop me from speaking out.
Bro, this is the part that seriously amuses me daily.

I have actually met some of these Tinubu and APC defenders, and I really felt shocked. Like wtf?!!

You also should think and use your brain.
If you are going by this your reasoning so then let me ask you how many of all these people you mentioned hustle for a price money as high as that of the WAFCON (1$m) for their NATION in a space of 4 weeks.

U are ill informed and lazy in doing reasoning otherwise you would have known that the soldiers are well budgeted for if not for those criminals holding offices that symphon them.

The total take home of these girls after the WAFCON is about $2k each for the whole 4 weeks whereas some of them make around and above $5k per week..

We have heard and witness cases of these ladies being abandoned after the competition for years now.
So if 001 decides to reward them this time please don't make it look like that's enough reason to decide to make OBI the president
Again... You didn't need to drag Obi or any tribe into this as nothing in my post drew such connections.

Your obsession with Obi is your life's problem not mine... There is more to leadership discussions than childish and petty politics.

If I am ill-informed for calling out the reality that I see daily and witness firsthand, then what do we call you that defend what shouldn't be defended?!!

You said soldiers are well catered for and their funds being siphoned, whose job is it to correct these issues?!! Whose job is it to clean up the corruption across all sectors?!!

Is that your job, sir?!! Or is it mine?!! Am I the one in charge of appointments into key offices?!!

Is the President so far removed from the reality of his citizens?!! If so, how then is he fit to lead the nation?!!

For your first 2 paragraphs regarding the players themselves, I never once said it was wrong or bad to reward them, I simply called out the cl0wn assisting Tinubu (Onanuga) for insulting Nigerians.

Nigeria is not the only nation where players win medals and are rewarded.

If the leadership did right by the citizens, would there be such widespread bellyaching across the nation?!!

Is this the first time footballers are winning trophies and getting rewarded in this nation?!!

Omo... What is the matter with you lots?!! Damn!!!

Na stingy people with a hint of embezzling funds dey talk the way you do. Judas said exactly the same thing meanwhile he was busy helping himself to the treasury. grin grin

But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it - John 12:4-6
Lol... Your analogy makes me laugh!

Jesus Christ knew and still knows the intentions of every man's heart.

Do you know the intentions of my heart?!! Can you read my mind or you just dey find way to defend your corrupt and clueless leaders?!! grin

You can defend nonsense without dragging sacred scriptures into it.

When Buhari was throwing money around to Niger and to Pilgrims heading to Mecca while the nation suffered, people like you said the same thing when we spoke up.

The other day, it was Billions being budgeted for VP mansion renovation, and some of you hushed us with these same words.

If Jesus Christ was that negligent of the welfare of his people while throwing money around at frivolities, what do you think would have become of his life's work and ministry?!!

Many top orators and speakers struggled with speech impediments earlier in life.

It's not really a big deal anymore.

Matter of fact, if there is no physiological issue with the oral cavity, then it can be sorted mentally.

The simple and effective rule is to learn to speak calmly, slowly, and never respond in a hurry.

Some of you were boasting that the igbo girls gave nigeria the cup even when Ajibade was named the tournament best player. Why are you people don't want your tribe girls to be 1m dollars rich.

Speaking of praying... How far have you prayed against that spirit in your country, cos Nigeria is among the poorest nations or the nations with shockingly poor citizens (over 70%)?!!

Splashing money to footballers won't change that fact.

Onanuga, think about it...! You do have a brain.

In a nation where hard working and dedicated civil servants, teachers, and other members of the labor force earn minimum wage peanuts, what or how exactly do you expect them to feel about their President doling out millions of Naira to footballers?!!

A nation where basics like Electricity, Potable water, and Security, not even mentioning good roads, are daydreams, do you expect citizens to jump for joy at such outlandish displays of monetary gifts?!!

How much did you give to individuals and families that suffered losses to flood and terrorist attacks?!!

Just recently, soldiers complained online about the meagre earnings and meals they receive... we all know their allowances are nothing to write home about.

By dashing Falcons money that is way higher than their Cup prize money, what exactly are you trying to prove?!! What message do you think suffering Nigerians will glean from that ostentatious gesture?!!

Make una dey think before rushing to defend and make posts.

That was how Buhari was dashing Billions as donations to Niger and other nations in conflict, while IDP camps suffered hunger and malnutrition.

Man United just has the largest fan base in the universe based on their history.
That's why they can pull crowds everywhere they go.

Still, the club is no longer big in terms of revenue.

The problem with Nigeria is the failure of leadership to enforce driving laws.

The fact that this country actually doles out Driver's licenses without examination or tests to ascertain good skills and behavior on the roads makes it worrisome.

That's why most Nigerians struggle to pass practical driving tests abroad.

One was complaining to me about how he failed his road test in Europe multiple times despite having driven for 20 years in Nigeria.
