The obsession of most of today's young men with backsides clearly validates the statement that IQ of today's generation of men has shockingly declined. It's a real shame...! |
Lol... Man just dey sample dey go. By the time his |
osazsky:I didn't even mention Isak sef...! Osimhen is very awesome, but there is no more financial sense in spending so much on just one player anymore, especially when other parts of the team require reinforcements. |
sulaak:Offload players and sign only a striker?!! What happens to other departments in the field?!! Will Osimhen solve all their problems alone?!! Cunha is versatile from midfield to attack, and can help out Bruno... Bryan will literally team up with any serious attacking player to make their front line deadly. If they get very fit defensive player like Licha, they are good to go. Transfer business is about wisdom, especially for a club that didn't make European competitions. |
EponObi:Lol... It's not the age! ![]() It's the financial demands... Nothing more. No club wants to spend more than 70 Million on any player now, no matter how good he is. Even his namesake in Portugal (Gyokeres) outshone him in goal numbers last season (highest in all of Europe) yet has a far lesser demand catalogue. What club won't pick Gyokeres over Osimhen solely on that alone?!! |
AirBere:That's just it...! Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, even United and City are no longer interested in spending insanely on single players. Same with Chelsea that already signed Delap from relegated Ipswich. Osimhen needs to bring down his wage demands or get ready to fizzle away in the Desert league. |
Hmmmmm2024:United is offloading Casemiro this Summer, except he chooses to take a wage cut to stay. Same for Sancho... Rashford is also on that table. Mainoo will also be sold if keeps asking for bigger wages. That's why Barcelona will rather go for Luis Diaz than Rashford...! Even PSG is no longer interested in footing high signing fees and weekly wages. Clubs are going back to the basics... Soon, players demanding high wages will have no choice but to cut down on their demands or head to Saudi league. The days of tossing huge funds into the transfer market for single players might be over. Chelsea just signed Delap for 30 Million, to show they are not interested in throwing high amounts at any top striker, no matter his quality. |
nairalandadeux:Man United and Barcelona cannot and will not sign any player asking for anything close to what Osimhen is demanding. Even PSG has left that level of outlandish spending on single players, especially after achieving the Holy grail of treble with Enrique who used exceptionally young players (youngest squad to win the UCL in history). The era of massive spending and huge wage demands might be over in Europe. Financial fair play is equally stricter now. That's why Saudi clubs are now the main destination for players more interested in money than playing top flight football. |
Jeshurun101:Exactly... Clubs are getting smarter now. Even Man United is slashing the huge wage structure that started post-Fergie. Soon, any player making demands above 200k per week will have to find his way to the Middle East. |
They are always relocating on paper...! It's really not about relocating... It's about committing resources and personnel to get the job done. There's no need for such image laundering and media grandstanding. |
Well, demanding such money is one thing, delivering consistently every season is another. If the club can afford it, they should go ahead...! However, such high wage gap can cause friction within the squad. |
German shepherd looks underfed tbh...! |
Lanre1st:How can they?!! With guns in every hand of psychos roaming about and homegrown terrorists. Not to mention their murderous Airways. |
Sigh... Not a single African country made the top 20. ![]() |
I'm more concerned about his "Weight loss" journey...! His preference for very LOUD outfit colors is not a big issue. |
Congrats to Luis Enrique...! Na better coach you be! Humiliating a top team at such a final with the youngest squad in Europe is beyond remarkable. |
MaziObinnaokija:Yes Chief...! What scores?!! Season don end na. ![]() |
Ngl... Lookman would suit Arsenal well. |
Okay... Any other news?!! |
fergie001:Oh... You are even supporting Inter, while Ray07 is rooting for Dembele and company. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. ![]() |
How can you not tell your wife about such a sensitive matter?!! |
papyjaypaul:Aptly described...! |
Really?!! So, you buy a washing machine and the next thing is to go online and mock others?!! Washing machine is an achievement and a sign of wealth?!! Since when?!! How did I miss the memo?!! ![]() ...And why is it so difficult for people in failed relationships or who just came off breakups to move on?!! Social media is really doing a great disservice to this generation...! So much toxicity and negativity being dumped there these days. |
Lol... Man is about to choke on that humble pie he's being forced to eat. ![]() Who send you to start wetin you nor get the power or means to finish?!! SMH! |
Omo... See as the noise maker come humble. Hair don even dey turn white. Freedom fighting is good... But, setting up your people to die and pushing for needless violence is not freedom fighting but terrorism. |
Ray07:Liar!!! ![]() That was the main focus and cheaper option for your attack. Gyokeres and Osimhen are off the table since you didn't make UCL. Just pray that the Ikorodu Haaland improves by some miracle, or that Chido-Obi learns fast. ![]() |
correctguy101:Of course the authorities are largely to blame for not doing their jobs, but parents and society are also at fault. Ever heard of parental intuition?!! This comes from the place of bonding and morality. If something is off about your child's source of wealth, you will know instantly...! Truth is, a lot of you Nigerians worship money, and have put off your moral responsibilities towards a saner society... No wonder your needless and weak justifications. I have witnessed parents who knew their kids were fraudsters, yet failed to say a word of reproach or reject their gifts. My own parents don't have much and didn't become overly wealthy, but I would never dare bring a dime of ill-gotten wealth to them, cos they would curse me and reject it. I grew up in the midst of such people, and that made me and a lot of my childhood friends decide never to yield to the temptation of dirty and unclean wealth. When I visited my father-in-law for his permission to court and marry his daughter, the man grilled me for an hour like an FBI agent about my income source and livelihood... He even demanded proof. Blaming authorities and leaving out the first and foundational unit of society (family) makes no sense. |
It will be very bad for both teams to lose this game...! For Inter, that means a trophyless season, more painful because of the careless manner they let Napoli snatch the league title. For PSG, that would be one final too many! This might be the closest they will ever come to winning this elusive UCL for at least a few years to come. |
This is what happens when, as parents and society, we stop questioning the sources of people's wealth. Someone without a proper startup and years of financial investments or proven instant wealth acquisition suddenly starts throwing money around, and no one asks the right questions. Abroad, you can't just come into sudden wealth without explaining it to the authorities, except you have an airtight laundering scheme in place. |
ppogba:Being outside European might make that very difficult. Osimhen and Gyokeres also want UCL football. Infact, all the top strikers want UCL competition... And you can't blame them. |
Nice one... More trophies for him under the new guidance of Xabi. Heard Chelsea hurriedly snatched Liam Delap from Manchester United... Is that true, Fergie001 and Ray07?!! |
