Daniel Craig.... Followed by Pierce.

It's no mistake that Casino Royale and Skyfall made more box office profits than almost 6 predecessors combined.

I don't care what naysayers and old timers say...!

No Time To Die was pure Genius!

We still have Amanda Adichie
Helon Habila
and several other young writers but there'll never be ones like this author who just passed on and Chinua Achebe
Cyprian Ekwensi
Kalu Okpi
Buchanan Emecheta
Flora Nwapa
To name a few.
These were the days you impress a babe with your literary collection. If you have some MacMillan Pacesetters, Hardley Chase and Mills and Boon...
You've captured her heart already.
Yeah... Good old days.

Social media is taking intellectual conversations down the drain.

Yeah... Soyinka is among the last of the old guard of brilliant and gifted writers.

I fear this generation might never live up to their golden standard.

To make matters worse, the reading culture is fast fizzling out.

Lol... America is not even in the top 10 of saner climes tbh.

Even Americans don't Brag anymore, not since the idiot Trump took over.

No nation in the world is a paradise, but there are nations that are not even trying at all, and Nigeria tops that list consistently and yearly.

Dtruthspeaker:
Wrong.
They are legally married. However, this is where you see that the world is just like those family members who say that they would not recognise your marriage no matter what
What part is wrong?!!

You are not legally married regardless of where or how grand the ceremony is until you have been certified by the constitution via courts or registry.

Except we are under traditional law or Religious law, which we are not in Nigeria!

Tinubu winning the election didn't automatically make him President... He became president the moment he was sworn in by the Judiciary and given a certificate of office.

Even among Muslims, they must get a certificate from the Sharia or regular courts after performing the wedding rites.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Miami Police Officer Shoots A Driver (Video) by Angelfrost(m): 3:33pm On May 28, 2025
Sigh... Another one.

While I agree that racism and negative profiling exists in the U.S, with such outcomes of excessive force displayed against Blacks by Police officers, yet I can't help but thinking aloud...

Why always Negroes?!!

I mean... There are several other racial minorities in that country who go out daily and meet Policemen too.

Take that video above for instance... Would the Police officer have produced his firearm and fired if he didn't feel threatened by the action of the man?!!

Did y'all miss the part where the guy was driving away dangerously with the policeman on his bonnet?!!

Yes, there have been excessive force and unprovoked shootings, but in most cases one of the following is observed:

1. The Negro is abusive, resistant, defiant, and headstrong.

2. They are uncooperative and unyielding

The Police should do better... And be trained to be more culturally and racially sensitive.

However, Black people should start talking to themselves especially their sons.

The most important thing is payment of bride price.

After that legalization which can be done in either religious way or registry.
All registered churches and mosque offer government certified marriage certificate. That's part of the legal cleric assignment once the religious denomination is registered in Nigeria.
Nope... All registered churches do not (DO NOT) offer certified marriage certificates.

Only few of them have the presence of mind to do so.

I have met a lot of married couples who have a marriage certificate issued by their churches that were outrightly rejected at embassies and other legal organizations.

Traditional marriage is highly important but without a court signed document, you are single by national law!

If you have no plans to leave the nation as a couple or contest marital issues in court, then you can choose not to bother with a registry... But, it's just common sense to actually visit a registry after you have concluded traditional marriage rites.

Sad and shameful how the most powerful and largest political organization in Nigeria, and even parts of Africa fell to the ignoble level of pedestrian opposition lacking bark and bite.

This has been coming since 2014...!

They had every opportunity to nip it in the bud, but their individual greed and corrupt natures simply refused to allow the party see progress, especially the divisive Dubai Landlord.

Oh well... Nigeria now belongs to APC.

Interesting. Whose job is it ?
Traditionally, women do that...! If you were born and raised in Nigeria, you will know that taking care of parents in old age is largely and exclusively handled by women.

That's also why a larger percentage of care home staff are females, mostly matured and experienced.

Of course, there are few exceptions and instances where men handle this, but that is not common.

Family › Re: Cohabitation Is Not Marriage: A Legal Reality Check by Angelfrost(m): 3:01pm On May 28, 2025
This is just common sense...!

Same way those who perform only Church wedding think they are actually married.

Without a legally binding document endorsed by a judge or authorised personnel from the government of your country, you are merely cohabiting.
Family › Re: Living With Parents At 37 by Angelfrost(m): 2:57pm On May 28, 2025
Even your parents, if they truly love you, will advise you to move on...!

What you are doing is not a man's job, except he is paid for it.

Call your siblings and have a discussion... You all should get them housekeeper and care staff.

Such living with parents will mentally hinder you from pushing to have a proper life and relationship.
Family › Re: Mistakes Men Make In Marriage (MMM) by Angelfrost(m): 2:51pm On May 28, 2025
I used to take such crap written above seriously till I got married...!

No worry, marriage go clear una eyes. tongue

I won't even be surprised that a lot such posts are made by people who have never stayed in marriage or gotten married.

I have been married long and happily enough to boldly and unabashedly tell you that there is no script or manual for a successful and blissful marriage... NONE!!!

You can do everything above and still suffer in marriage especially if you marry a demon! I'm speaking to both men and women equally here.

Op said your wife is not your friend... That summed up his ignorance and underscored his misogynistic thoughts about this sacred union.

Even the Bible says a man must leave his father and mother to cleave to his wife, and they shall be one flesh!

Who else can cleave to you like that if not your dearest and best friend?!!

Anyway... Don't worry! Get married first! grin
Family › Re: Old Age by Angelfrost(m): 2:43pm On May 28, 2025
You don't want to grow old?!!... What does that even mean?!!

That's basically saying you want or wish to die young... Cos you can't be young forever.

Infact, everyday you wake up, you get closer to the end of your Earthly existence... Everyday ages you, whether you like it or not.

Growing old is a beautiful and amazing thing, except you are wasting your youthful years living anyhow.

Old age is a time to take stock and reminisce on the adventures and mistakes of youth... I honestly look forward to growing old and being around family and friends who are equally growing older too.

That some old people are suffering doesn't mean every old person is suffering and regretting... You have the power to determine your future.

You people should learn to cleanse your minds of such negativity... What is really wrong with many of you young people these days?!! Na wa o!

The details of that deal made me laugh...!

Barca is basically telling every club in Europe to stay the fvck away... 1 Billion Euros release clause is WILD! Absolutely insane.

I hope it works out for both player and club in the longterm...!

Let him not start diminishing or dropping form soon after all the hype.
