Sigh... Make wedding no go long pass marriage o. |
Sigh... That isn't much of a record. Lol. Truth be told, it's an embarrassment. Certain clubs are busy winning UCL consecutively, you guys are talking about lowered standards. No serious club ends up playing Europa or Conference league, not to speak of bragging about winning it. ![]() |
Okay... Anything you say, Oga Presido! |
Saao:Okay... So, they marry them and don't lay a hand on them till they are adults?!! You have evidence of this?!! You lived with them?!! ...Or does marrying a child below 18 suddenly and magically transform her to an adult?!! No wonder most foreigners think we Nigerians are communally stupid. |
Same issue I raised earlier...! Many of you have remained dumb and deaf about child marriage and sexual relations with .minors happening in the North, but have now found your voices because an idiot ranted drunkenly online. What sort of hypocritical people are you Nigerians?!! Are Northern Muslims under a different constitution from Southerners?!! If you are demanding justice, demand it across board without exceptions. Selective justice is no justice at all! |
lumens:What man is that?! What office is he occupying?! |
Sigh... Tinubu will handle economy, and Shettima will handle security. Seems both men have forgotten their job descriptions. |
columbus007:How many of our over 200 Million population have at least a Diploma?!! We are talking about tertiary educated individuals per national population here. Maybe you were asleep when Osibanjo raised heavy concerns about the rising number of out of school children in Nigeria during Buhari's tenure. |
Okay?!! So, why the outrage?!! Even without attending webinars, Simpsons will always be available to be used. ![]() |
casualobserver:That in itself is a big LIE! The only income earners that escape taxes are those whose incomes are not documented, and that can never be more than 45% of the working population. |
MoneyMan5:Try to sound smart even if it is difficult...! What do you mean by most Nigerians don't pay income tax?!! Better yet, how do you mean?!! You mean civil servants and private employees don't have taxes deducted from their salaries every month?!! You mean traders and contractors don't pay levies and duties on their goods and services?!! You mean business and land owners are not taxed?!! You mean import duties are not paid on goods being brought in?!! SMH... You Nigerians should learn to think for yourselves not being mentally controlled by the dimwits in power. |
nairalanda1:Can a country where wealth is distributed largely among a privileged class of 10% work?!! Can a country were Corruption thrives work?!! Can a country where over 60% of the population are underemployed or unemployed work?!! Can a country where the minimum wage is not sufficient to be called a living wage work?!! |
deji17:Okay... So, what is the honest number?!! 1000?!! 500?!! What number of deaths will make it more "acceptable"?!! |
Jonathan didn't perform a quarter as bad as this o. Yet, the man in office relentlessly screamed for his removal and even trial for war crimes. Suddenly, we are all acting like nothing is wrong, and some are even campaigning for second term. |
nairalanda1:Trust me, I wasn't even trying for sarcasm... Not even close. Gaslighting citizens for failing in your job is simply abhorrent. If these people want to generate revenue across the nation and streamline it into their coffers, they can achieve it in less then 3 months. Saying that Nigerians will cry or be against it is just weak reasoning. There is no nation on Earth where citizens pay taxes happily or joyfully. The only reason they don't complain abroad is due solely to transparency and effective use of the generated revenues. The EFCC and ICPC just came out to say they have gone after few persons who embezzled close to 50 Billion in less than one quarter of 2023 alone. So, pushing the issues on average citizens wholly makes no sense...! |
Okay...! The Blind cannot lead the blind Evil cannot eradicate evil A bad and corrupt tree cannot produce good fruits ...Just saying! ![]() |
lexy2014:Don't mind him...! Some are refusing to pay the true value of what they earn... In which country?!! What they earn that can be easily verified from banks via their bvn which the cbn and government have full access to. Leave these Clowns abeg. |
nairalanda1:Okay... We don't pay enough taxes. Good! Let's keep going back and forth then. No problem!!! Nigeria is impossible to rule...! I have learned so much from your wealth of wisdom. Good day to you. |
AntiChristian:Okay... No one is embezzling the funds. Nigerians simply collect their salaries and bluntly refuse to pay taxes! Infact, Tinubu is running the nation from his personal funds...! Emefiele, Kalu, Okowa, Lamido, and others were arrested by EFCC for spraying money on the ground. Are you satisfied now?!! ![]() |
nairalanda1:You can't argue because you are the one failing to face realities. Revenue generation is not difficult... Infact, it is the easiest thing to do... Just ask Tinubu himself. Even churches like RCCG and Winners have mastered the art. The biggest issue is the absence of transparency. I brought forth verifiable and honest points of focus, but you simply chose to disregard them. You say Nigerians are not sufficiently taxed, and I don't disagree... So, what should be the percentage deductible that would keep us from borrowing without reducing the currently impoverished citizens to further penury?!! What should be the income versus deduction per month?!! I like to talk in practical terms, not tout around theories like an average economics crammer. I will give you an instance...! Canada deducts about 10% from lower incomes, and 12 to 15% from higher earners every month or salary cycle. At the end, every dime is accounted for to the last cent. Can an average Nigeria do the same in Nigeria?!! |
AntiChristian:See this one...! Lol! I asked pertinent questions which you should also be doing if you had a brain. 1. How many Nigerians are employed in private and public establishments?!! 2. Are their monthly salaries not tax-deducted at federal and state levels?!! 3. Are market people and traders not taxed and levied from state to Federal?!! 4. Are importers and exporters not paying levies and duties for their goods?!! 5. Are banks not charging duties for transactions which go to the federation accounts?!! 6. Are telecommunications companies not including taxes and VAT in their services and packages?!! Since the above are all true, how then do you say only less than 20% are paying taxes?!! Is it only less than 20% that are in the above instances above?!! ...You people think every Nigerian is dull and myopic. |
nairalanda1:Nope... I asked very simple questions. Just think! No need going back and forth. Who is refusing to pay the taxes?!! What is stopping them from collecting the taxes?!! I have worked in private and government establishments for over 10 years, and they never failed to deduct taxes at federal and state levels... I have my tax records as proof. If this generating process is no sufficient, whose fault is it?!! If the people are truly too poor or underemployed or even unemployed to pay taxes, whose fault is it?!! What is the role of leadership in ensuring the enforcement of an efficient revenue collection process and to see that there is transparency in the process?!! |
nairalanda1:Leave this talk abeg. Who or what is keeping them from collecting those taxes?!! Is the process too technical or difficult to set up and implement?!! ...Or could it be that the majority of the population is currently underemployed to the extent of not being able to pay taxes?!! ...Or the revenue generation process is so tinged with corruption and maladministration that it amounts to nothing?!! |
That's an idiotic way to gaslight...! I think you mean... You are only able to collect taxes from 19% of Nigerians. Probably due to the fact that only that percentage is gainfully employed. You can't tell me it's difficult or impossible to collect or deduct taxes from working citizens in the public and private sectors... That's a big lie! Either you are not ready to collect taxes, or you are embezzling and diverting the collected taxes. |
fergie001:Lol... Which club?!! Your club played yesterday, and lost yet again to an unknown name in faraway Asia. ![]() |
Kobicove:That's the issue... Is statutory rape a thing in Nigeria?!! If it is, why is it going on in the North?!! Or do they have a different constitution?!! |
chinonfelix2:What are you saying?!! Rape is the direct opposite of consensual sex...! The sexual proclivities of the victim are totally irrelevant to the grievous offense. Even if she is a full-time prostitute, if consent is not given, then the act becomes a serious crime. Let's quit making light of people's traumatic experiences. |
Okay... Let the investigation prove that the idiot is guilty and he should face the full wrath of the law. Now, talking about law... Is the offense rape or statutory rape (sex with a minor)?!! Does statutory rape even exist in Nigeria?!! If the answer is yes, then what exactly are most of the Northern men marrying 13 and 14 year old girls doing?!! What is the constitutional age of sexual consent in this 3rd world former British colony?!! These are simple yet pertinent questions any smart person should be asking...! We can't simply be picking and choosing when to be outraged or against whom to be outraged...! Justice must be universal and non-selective or it's no justice at all. |
Yet, Arsenal was the most serious and strongest of them all...! Arsenal get one kind weird bad luck sha. |
Tranquilise and carefully send it back to its natural habitat...! That's for a sane nation with well fed and modern citizens. A certain 3rd world nation's citizens would have unalived and barbecued the poor animal within the hour. |
Tradepunter2:Yeah... Remove Real Madrid and Barcelona from that league, and it would be shockingly less appealing than the Turkish League. |
Huge Congrats to Chelsea... This was Impressive! What an abysmal season for Spanish teams and league! |
