Family / Re: Wife Earns More Than The Husband by Angelheart: 6:06pm On Sep 19, 2008
Nothing wrong with it but I have evidenced that in most families where a woman is a bread winner, there tends to be some problems with a complex of inferiority. A man feels threatened and in most instances, cases of abuse (Physical, emotional, territorial, et al) have been reported. Only a small percentage of men can actually digest the fact that a woman brings more green to the table.

Politics / Re: Mbeki To Go This Week by Angelheart: 12:31am On Sep 19, 2008
RSA:

My brotha you have/had president like Mbeki your Abacha,Babangida,Obasanjo even Jardua, they are all out of touch with ordinary people, they have no connection with whats happening on the ground.
South Africa need a motivator, someone who the poor will belief in and at the same time someone who the investors can trust and if you'v been following our politics you'll realised that Zuma is that man.

I should sound like him cause I am a member of ANC youth league in Western Cape,SA youth played important role in getting this country where it is today, and it is us again the youth who should take action when our leader is getting off track,Mbeki is a member of the ANC that is why he is in that position,he was voted by the people and if the people feel he is not representing them accordingly.then we must recall him from his seat.It is nothing unusaul in politics,Tony Blair was recalled from his sit and Gordon Brown was made Prime Minister by the Labour Party.
Zuma is going to make president as long as he follow and respect the advises of the ANC National Executive Counsel.Remember ANC govern South Africa, not individual, people vote for the party not individuals

RSA buti, you are right. ANC youth league will continue to play a role in 'getting the country to where it is today'. In shambles. You are right. With the leadership of Malema. Oh yes!! We are headed down south. The YOUTH will contunue ending up like delinquents in jails, will continue being careless and disrespectful. Crime rate will be on an increase. It is afterall the youth that are contributing to the crime right?/ WHat kind of a leader would openly announce that they will 'KILL for Zuma'. Instead of focusing on the YOUTH!! What a role model we have. By the way, what were Mbalula's contribution?s? Hmmm, I just keep fearing fear!!!
Politics / Re: Mbeki To Go This Week by Angelheart: 12:17am On Sep 19, 2008
Really Zuma is the man for this job?? Kanjani?? I guess Malema is your man too right? Does Zuma even have a manifesto? What does he have to offer to the people and South Africa as a whole.  Mshini wami I guess. Zuma is just like Morgan Tshangirai (sp). They cannot make decisions and are always easily lured by juicy carrots,  Ask me more and I will give you the stats!!

What wrong decisions did Mbheki take?? You mean you do not see the changes that he brought about in our economy? How did he fail the people in Zim? Dont talk about his silence diplomacy. Did you know that when ALL the sunctions were imposed on Zim and ALL the countries retracted from helping/supporting Zimbabwe Mbheki was the ONLY leader in the WORLD to say' NOOOOOOOO!!!! I stand by Mugabe'.  Did you know that 60% of the industry in Zim is solely from SA. Food supply, electricity, you name it. So its Mbheki's fault that the Zimbabweans were/are living in poverty? Blame the westerners from withdrawing the funding from the world bank ndoda. There is more than what meets the eye because politics is a filthy game.

If people think that Zuma will hold the country's stakes high like Mbheki did, you have another thing coming. Nna kere, what the HELL is his manifesto?
Who will invest in South Africa with a fraudster and a rapist like Zuma?

The mistake that Mbheki made was to be Mandela's succesor and Just like Mugabe, he did not groom/appoint a successor well ahead of time.

Just to disageree further with you lenyora: Mbheki failed people with HIV? Yet Zuma slept with an HIV positive woman?? You know why we have high HIV infections in SA? We  had a turbulent past as a country, and this history is relevant to the explosive spread of HIV in the country. The most rapid increase in South Africa’s HIV prevalence took place between 1993 and 2000, during which time the country was distracted by major political changes. While the attention of the South African people and the world's media was focused on the country's transition from apartheid, HIV was rapidly becoming more widespread. Although the results of these political changes were positive, the spread of the virus was not given the attention that it deserved, and the impact of the epidemic was not acknowledged. It is likely that the severity of the epidemic could have been lessened by prompt action at this time. Moreover, due to affirmative action, a WRONG minister of health, Ben Ngubane, was appointed. He knew nothing about policy implementation,  Food for thought.

You also said Mbheki failed Zimambweans?? I think I have touched on that already!

bodsibobo:

surrender and hand over the keys asap!

my friend was hi-jacked recently in front of my house in our complex. 4 guys came in with him as he entered the gate, wrestled him to the floor, took the keys from his pocket and drove the rented car out with all his important possessions. my friend has vowed never to return to sa again! he was lucky they did not shoot him. guys are hi-jacked and shot on a daily basis in jo'burg. if you struggle with them you'll just become statistics on the police crime report.

Bodsibobo, welcome to My country.

I am from Pretoria and with me, it was a smash and grab. Two guys came from both sides of my car with guns while I was at the intersection. One managed to shatter my side window and took my bag. The other tried to open my door and I just accelerated. I'm telling you, if you want to see what happens when someone gets jacked, come to my beautiful country. I love SAbut DAMN, these guys watch too much movies!

Siena:

The angry, defensive responses to the poster's thread just go to reinforce what we all know to be true.
Anyone that agrees either gets shouted down, or insulted.

Sisikil, Angelheart and a few others however, have the right attitude, and can see things the way they truly are.

You can say that again SIena. Its either they are guilty of being abusive or are just plain ignorant. Moreover, this happens to be a 'NIGERIAN' forum right? So, do you want us to come in here and start talking about SOuth African and Brazilian men? Go to the respective forums and surely, that would be most relevant! People should just stick to the topic and defend/attack it (topic) rather than getting personal. That's a weakness and it only shows how some people cannot argure here!! cool

missshea:

Wow are you serious?  I can't believe the condescending tone here, after being given advice to go with our hearts by so many people.  I am not desperate by any means, that's a pretty mean insult.  My guy isn't gullible either.  He made the decision of his own accord.  We love each other, that's all it boils down to.  Age, race, etc should not matter when two people fall in love. Maybe you are right the situation is temporary, but who can predict what the future holds?  When you find a person that you have a connection with, a chemistry, you should follow that path for as long as possible, because there are too many people in this world who are in marriages of convenience, not love.  I am not blind or stupid to know that it may still not work out in the long run. But for now it's a chance I'm willing to take, because if it does work out, he is worth it to me.  He is my best friend.

Missheah, ignore this good for nothing self-servicer!! He's one of those bored idiots who have nothing better to do with their lives.  He seems to be unhappy in life and makes himself feel better by ranting on without thinking. He has nothing happening for him. What a slowpoke.

Misshea, I wish you nothing but luck. undecided

Been there, done that. I'm black, quite attractive, South African, I have a son, educated, domesticated and hard working. The man was the first boy in the family and a year older than I am. The parents came up will all sorts of excuses on why the man should marry a Nigerian. They insulted my family (Fact that I come from a single family), insulted my heritage (Calling South African girls name) and THEN, called my child a BASTARD (That is when shit hit the fan and I decided to RUN). I knew then that they would never accept my child as part of the family.
Love alone is not enough. The man has to have a spine and really be firm. To be honest, if I were you, I would REALLY sit down and have a meeting with my senses to see if its worth staying in this relationship!! Its not looking good from where Im sitting. undecided
