A lot of banks do this, but its unfortunate fbn's own misfired. The asset to be purchased becomes the collateral. Remember oil price was stable when the loan was given. same with oando audacious deal.
It could be pure corporate fraud, just like Oando over-priced acquisition. It ridicule FBN as a corporate entity.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 5:37pm On Feb 26, 2016
EFFCC need to arrest the executive of FBNH and look into the procurement of their bad loans,it could be a bad loan scam.Very irresponsible of them to give such loans based on volatile oil prices.I believe the share price will be seriously battered but that will be when the result is out.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 2:15pm On Feb 17, 2016
UBA should just move independently and pass FBNH.Seems the stock really want to move.

If you're not in the country then try that but I guess it wouldn't work cause the mandate is not printed from them and not bearing ink signature
Point of correction, the mandate is to be scanned into the system. You don't have to be at the bank but my issue is most of the banks are not even aware of the platform or how to access it.

On the e-dmms just walk into your bank and tell them what you want
I.e you want to enrol for it.
NEVER go there asking them question if they have commenced it.
the big answer will be a straight no cause they need to devote their time to customers who they can charge now since this is still free.
but when charges begin to be applicable all will say theyve started.
I can confirm Diamond, fbnh,Uba ,Fcmb have started without charges.
will monitor other banks from tomorrow as well
Not everyone could walk to the bank, some of us will have to scan it to the bank for them to upload.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 2:12pm On Feb 10, 2016
Any one with info on this e-dividend platform?,Some banks have no idea where to log to confirm mandates uploaded on the platform.

PMB said it well, Nigerian scammers are here scamming even at Walmart bringing shame to hard working Nigerians here. Malaysia kept executing Nigerians for drug yet, some were recently caught again and again. Thank you PMB for being real.
Does that mean that all Nigerians are criminals, who are the people paying taxes then?.I still maintain that he is stupid for making such statement coming from a President.Stereotype is inconclusive!
Nairaland GeneralRe: "Nigerians Are Not All Scammers And Fraudsters" Swiss Woman Reveals (VIDEO) by angelo82: 3:32pm On Feb 07, 2016
Its very stupid for the President of a country to stereotype his own people. But looking at it from another perspective,Buhari is not attacking his own people because they are very unfortunate to live in most of the European cities but rather he is attacking the southern part of the country.

Which other banks are these two COYS tying a mountain around their necks and pushing them into the ocean... ; cheesy apart from FCMB/FBNH?
It seems most of the banks are exposed to oil and gas sectors but just some are more exposed that the others.

You are right but the slow growth in banks share price is expected to continue as investors would still be reacting to the massive loan write off by banks for FYE 2015 arising from the huge exposure to oil and gas industry. Also, most banks are still suffering from liquidity strain despite the CBN maintaining the CRR at current rate which is another factor dealing a great blow to the shares.

In summary, the first beneficiary of the oil price u-turn will be the primary players. With the strong fundamentals SEPLAT parades, I wont be surprise if its shares find its way back to the league of expensive stocks in the market within a short period.
The fact that the oil companies can service their loans will be a major boost to the banks and their shares.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 7:29pm On Jan 30, 2016
Coolcash1:
If the increase is sustained we might see a sharp increase in SEPLAT and Oando share prices...Interested investors should get their cash ready.
Also increase in bank shares and not just oil companies. They are owing banks.
