newdada: I think the key word in that write - up is '‘keep-off list’ for NOW'. Fundamentals can change. Also the list only alluded to the fact that these stocks have made a YTD loss for three years in a roll. I don't think the list or the analyst for that matter factored in the fact that a company like Skyebank for example has acquired assets which could potentially make trading in the company's stocks profitable in 2016; the list was basically stating the obvious (what has happened).
Plus all these brokers can be really funny. I wont be surprised if they end up accumulating some of the stocks listed up there. You can't rely on Proshare any more..............Skye bank has a different pattern and does not correlate with movements of other stocks.......Similar news was peddled around last year and their stock traded as low as 1.28 based on the rumor and when their quarterly news came out the stock increased by 40% within a week...............Use your own head also and cross check all available datas concerning any stock you want to buy and don't be intimidated by alarmist theories................Even at that time,Proshare was predicting the worst............... |

newdada: What you posited on transcorp lends credence to my current outlook on the company; I was right to be worried (even if the cause of my worry may be a short term problem) - many thanks.
On Skyebank, well I'm a little more optimistic. However, I will consider my position if I smell any danger outside the fine. The acquisition of mainstream bank was important in my decision to buy into the company. Obviously, I expect mainstream bank to have liabilities, but I'll bet that their assets will outweigh their liabilities. The stock is selling really low and I think they're capable of paying good dividend. The mainstream assets, if properly managed, will only improve the company on the long term. The effect of the TSA fine on Skye is over and you still have the chance to enter now because Skye Bank always recover at the end of every quarter.........If you can read one of their sponsored article recently you will observe that they are promising their investors with better reward this time vs last year.............But as some people will say do your due diligence..............Prosperous and Wonderful New Year To All.................. |

zendi: Come to think of it, the mighty oando is a loss making company, and the chief of them. But 2 million units of it were sold today. How many units of of nem, cileasing, courteville, all profit making and cheap companies were sold? Likewise, even as they were dumping it, 2 million units of the tigerbrands were taken up by new buyers, and I was surprised it fell only 5%. I'm following it closely to re-enter at a lower roundabout . A loss making company can generate more market activity than a profit making one depending on the sentiment around the stock. But the golden key remains right entry and right exiting with good luck. Be cautious and I wish you the best of luck........................... |

Agbalowomeri: Bros how much did aliko sell the shares to Tigerbrands? I assume they already made a kill by short-selling. So u may be buying at a premium to Aliko's purchase price Aliko;s calculation is far beyond that analysis above.............Analysis above is when you are dealing with a straight forward businessman................ |

zendi: Moreover, is anybody by any chance aware, that the wise old saint, Santa Claus, appears to have quietly slipped into the market with a handful of his bulls? Sorry though for bnsiTl caught in Tigerbrands. No matter how foretold and expected, mr short-term-market is always thin skinned, unforgiving and punishing to bad news. I sold yesterday when I saw tiger suffering too much, and felt it needed some refuelling (some news, press release etc on turnaround plans, from the offices of DIL), a move that has today turned out premonitive. Tigerbrands(dangflour) remains a hot one when it bottoms out. Aliko Dangote is its fundamental. Why are you so fascinated to loss making companies?............There are several profit making cheap companies out there............Some billionaires are monkey hunters too.............. |

Manonamission: Tomorrow, Wednesday is the last trading day for this week. 4 more trading days left in year 2015(Wed, next week Tues, Wed & Thurs). What a year! Thank you God for 2015.
I remember the E-fights, name calling, mud slings, vicious attacks, false prophets, spammers, monkey hunters, liars, thread derailers, advertisers, empty portfolio holders, money bags, traders, investors, JIJO masters, grammar blowers/teachers, gamblers, jokers, noise makers, newbies, spirits, et al.
Have you ever wondered what actually happened when you don't see posts from some monikers again? I mean ever again. Well, there is no way to tell if anyone has passed away so my point is that we should all be thankful for life even if we didn't make profit this year. This is not to say that anyone who stopped posting died o .......but you never know. Some simply don't see the purpose of the thread or nairaland again.
If you no get.....never forget to say Baba I thank you and if you too get......never forget to say Baba I thank you. Thank you Jesus.
Regardless of the negative projections for 2016, some people will still make their first million, tens of million, hundreds of million and even billion. Thank you God for 2016.

zendi: Chibuking you're too old in this biz for this. Indeed I can only assume you are pulling our legs with this post. What makes you believe every other broker will follow your lousy broker and desert the market a clear 4 working days b4 the first public holiday on 25th, and just about when we are at high alert expecting Santa Klaus bull to surface? Pls anybody who is tired of this game, or who has hit his/her target for the year should quietly log off his jijo engine and go away to enjoy his loot. As for me, thank God for Morgan, even in the village, I'm in the market. Haba! You wan kee pesin?
