Please could you throw more light on the tax reasons ?

Means there are tax breaks to fund managers at the end of the year....................Which is an advantage to them.........From management fees to capital gains............

The effect of foreign investors is long gone................The dumping reflecting on gtb,zenith and co is mostly fund managers in Nigeria but there are pension funds also that are buying cheap.............They rarely sell unless is necessary but they invest in key stocks with value...........Also traders are mopping up and long term investors...........See it as a good sign that market does not depend on one entity only............

Local fund managers need to sell because is the end of the year and for tax reasons but they will re-enter again by January..................

Its so annoying and unfortunate that the natural interplay b/w demand and supply is not allowed to determine price on the NSE. How would u explain d fact DAT a stock which opened at 6.10, was bid up to 6.20, was last bought at 6.20 and was supposed to close at that price, instead of allowing it to close normally, the useless market makers for no reason brought it back to 6.10. I repeat, NSE is not ripe for genuine market making and as such the day it was introduced was the day NSE was killed. That's why u can hardly find any growth stocks on the NSE. Gone are those days when you could do so!

Sad.......Thats what they are doing to most of the stocks these days............Must be because of the sell off but market should decide the price...........

The bear is essential but the most important thing is to have reserve to buy...............You remember when the stocks were not moving down after taking profits in August,everybody was praying for a bear.........Every year is the same story......The only looser in this game is the indecisive,panic seller and insolvent traders.............Because when bulls finally comes the investors with focus will definitely reap from their investment.......

Not bad strategy.................I sold my access at 4.90 too but waiting for it to come down again to 4.50 before jumping in..........I have been busy buying FBNH,UBA and Afriprud...........GTB/ZENITH may still come down 20% and maybe then I could consider buying some...........Na to dey buy now because that is the usual trend..........
