Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Army DSSC And SCC 2013 Recruitment Is Out! by anienwe(m): 7:25pm On Sep 25, 2013
It depends on d gravity of what d military officer has done or d evidence d civilian has against d military officer. On either of these grounds, dey can be sued but it also depend on d rank of d personality invovled.

For instance, if a serving Major General messes up in d public in NA uniform, d civil society most often sues d Nigerian army directly although d suit wil carry d generals name and compensations are made by d NA.

Sometimes ago, I mean 3 years back, one admiral aregbesola and the nigerian navy were sued by d civil society and d lagos state government for allegedly beaten up a lady. D lady was also stripped naked in the public by d admiral's men. So it is very posible to sue a military officer irrespective of d rank.

It is good to be humble and to have respect for d laws of d land whether u are a military officer or not.

Sorry sir, thank u sir for d names. For our own good let's try to work on d way we address people. Dis applies to both dose u know and dose u don't know cos whoever can tell. I want to believe dat d original intention of this forum or thread is not to call people names or to run people down. Who am I to brag? I will never, I mean never do dat. Even if I have it all, I will never! Dats d reason why some people on dis forum with useful and genuine info concernin d shortlist wil decide to hold infos to dem selves so as to avoid being called names and getting insults. God wil help us all as we wait for d list.

PASSION OR NO PASSION/JOBLESSNES OR NO JOBLESSNESS: Everyone to its opinion! I know dat 'there are general opinion' which are generally acceptable and fair to ones hearing. 1. Everybody can't be officers/commander. Also everybody can't be soldiers. 2. Why should I apply for RRI when I already have degrees or whem am a professional? It does not make sense. RRI is for O'Level etc and not for degree holders. Passion or no passion. 3. A lot of people have well paid jobs yet stil aspire for military career. I am a living example. I know there are a lot more people who are in my shoe too. Please let's be informed and quided, as everyone who aspire to become army officer here are not jobless. Some of us here hold PHD offers of top 5 UK universities and in d Nigerian Univerties and our army career can not stop us from acheiving it. Even if we are jobless, it does not mean we should not have a class. Joblessenes or not, let's encourage our selves.let's try to do away with contributions that will not encourage d spirit of a fellow NLs in dis thread. We wil all get there in Jesus.

clemzo101: SOme people will just come to the thread and start talking paparazzi, if u are hunngry and jobless must u generalize it? A friend of mine left a govt agency job where he was earning 350k for the Nigerian army job, as a liutenant he knows how influential he has bcom now and how he has saved his friends and family from oppression. Money is not everything ooo.
My brother, you guys have said it all. From inception, military jobs had always been compectitive. Any Barrack boys in house? Or people with military ties in d house? Dey wil comfirm dis. I started pursuing military career (NDA) in d early 90s, and DSSC in d Mid 2000. So I know what I am talking. Infact, I remembered sometimes ago, one of our bank customers who was a senior lawyer den (He is not less dan 60 interms of age) told me he made attempts to join d army in his time but he was not selected. Even my pastor who work with Chevron presently, when I met him for prayers concerning my army ambition, he told me he had tried it too. This pastor should be in his late 50s or early 60s. What are we not saying? My bros (Army Brig Gen) always tell me: U CAN BUILD ANY CAREER IN D ARMY. Although, d number of army applicants had increased recently, am not disputing dat fact. Maybe, I will attribute it to recently improved renumeration in d army. I remebered 5 years ago when I took my DSSC form to a (army Col)for signing and assistance, the Col asked me: as a Banker, how much was I earning? I told him. Then he showed me his pay slip. As at den he earns 200,000 monthly or thereabout. He told me to my face dat I earned more than him dat what am I looking for in d army. I TOLD HIM I HAVE PASSION FOR THE JOB. Its all about passion but not d pay. Dose chasing d army for d sake of pay should better give way for people who have passion for d job o. LOL. Happy sunday all NL and God bless us all.

henchyk: I don't think there will be any list yet. I think there will be an aptitude test first. You can't just sell forms for 2,500 naira to people and then you compile a list. There has to be equal opportunities for everyone, hence the need for an aptitude test.
. Bros, there are no equal opportunies even when exams are conducted before d shortlistment. Its just God and destiny, that's all. Weda exam or not, if God says u will be there, u wil find ur self dere. Experience has shown us overtime, except if dis is ur first time. Cheers
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Army DSSC And SCC 2013 Recruitment Is Out! by anienwe(m): 8:36pm On Aug 13, 2013
Dear NLs, let's keep hope alive as we wait for d list. It will surely come one day, dis I believe. I am particularly not amazed at d delay, same happened in 2010, it took almost 3 months before they finally shortlisted names. I also applied in that same year too and dat year was my 4th year of DSSC/SSC application. So it is yet not abnormal, it will be abnormal only if it exceeds 3 to 4 months before shortlistment. I am also aware dat 2011 and 2012 took just barely a month or thereabout. My recommendation is dat we should keep praying and believing in God as we wait for d list. Let's see what tomorow has for us. God is still on d throne. Cheers

Brothers and Sisters, yes some of our guys here are likely to be right about tomorrows list. Am also sure of dis wednesday, but next week wednesday is very certain. A source from MS confirmed that d list was ready just awaiting approval. Although, dey were a lot of issues (eg. my candidate can not wait for next year again, he has to make d list dis time, ur candidate my candidate.....powers dat be, major Gens and all of them sha...) dat came up which has been resolved recently. Am sure of tomorow wednesday but if on d contrary next wednesday is sure. What will be had already been. Let's keep our fingers crossed as things unfold. Meanwhile, if ur name no dey d list and God wants u dere, somehow somehow u wil find ur self at d training ground and u can stil get comissioned with other people. This implies dat u should not give up as God can stil interfere at any point in time. Dats why He is Alpha and Omega: d beginin and d end. We wil get there in Jesus Name. Amen

Winners don't quit and quiters don't win. You can have what so ever you desire through Christ Jesus. Afterall, God's will for us in his word is dat whatesover we desire including desire to join d army (excluding things dat does not glorify the name of d lord or things dat are contrary to d word of God) when we ask him in prayers, He will do. (Mark 11:24, John 14:14, Matt 7:7). God honours his word more than His name. He said He will hasten His word to perform it (Jer 1:2). Remember, d word of God is a revelation of God's will for evry one of us. Whoever believes His Words, the Impossible (DSSC/SSC shorlisting and commisioning) becomes possible, difficult becomes easy includin NA, things unheard begins to happen(including joining ur colleagues at d NA trainin camp even when u did not go through the screaning processes/without shortlistment. For with God nothing shall be imposible. Brothers and Sister on dis forum, let's believe as we declare dis words of His and we will surely have dis army desire of ours. Don't give up! It is well, see u on top.

Dear all, we should not be supprised at d delay in releasing d DSSC/SSC list. Same happened two years ago. D list was finally released 2-3 months after closure of d submision. My brothers and sisters, a lot of things usually happen expecially once it exceeds one month after closure. My small army oga ( a Major in d dept of MS) den told me d following: at that point, what happen is adding and deleting of names (who is who comes into play here): long list from all quarters including top senators, ex presidents, some mighty civilians in Nigeria etc. At that point some army ogas becos of d fact dat dey do not want to step on toes and to get early retirement give up at dis stage. Some applicants even do not fill d online form but stil get shortlisted with special numbers. U can check d 2011 list for confirmation. Its just God. I have a friend who made it dat year. He told me point blank dat if I do not have a Major Gen on appointment and on his slot I should forget it, except if God is interested in ur case. Infact, dis is my 7th year in dis race. I have facts and d experience is dere. Thank God dat I have made dis years course. At dis point I will sincerely recommend dat we keep reminding our contacts and be prayerful as well. Good luck all NLs dat applied.

My brother it is well with u in Jesus name. Those who don't know much about dssc/ssc. DSSC is commissioned a Leutenant after succesful completion of military training: their promotions comes regularly without much courses/ exams: conversion to regular is very posible and not that hard: u can not command a battalion or brigade but can be a Director of. Army Finance corps, director of army education corps/NYSC director general etc: U can get to the rank of Major General but subject to ur age: While SSC is commissioned 2nd LT after succesful completion of military training; ur promotion is subject to passing relevant army courses: conversion is not automatic: u are a combatant soldier and can command battalion, brigade and Division. U can get to the rank of Major Gen subject to ur age: Good luck all: some of my friends in the Army Engineering corps who entered through DSSC are presently in d battle field as I speek: these guys were drafted to d north to combat BHaram. Infact most of them are DSSC LTs. Most dssc guys are fighters too: except finance and education corps guys and very few others.

I like Emmas faith and confidence in God Allmighty. FOFU4, Emma and others, it shall be well IJN. As I said earlier,we go meet at d screanin ground. Above all, we shall make d final list in Jesus. As per d list, Dssc/ssc list is usually released on Wednesdays and intervals of 10-13 days is given to report at d screanin vanue. I am speaking from my experience over d years on dis dssc/ssc stuff. More so, there is likely to be addition to the usual 20 per state on the first list and addition to 5/6 per state on d final list. All deltans on dis forum who have equally applied for d dssc/ssc, pls lets be more prayerful as I have a reservation which I can't disclose here. It is well in jesus name.
