Electroweb: Niaralanders, I need guidance. My spouse applied for study permit in May 2021, with my child last year. She got her Study permit late last year but my son’s application is yet to get a decision. I filled a webform 2weeks ago concerning his application. Now, we the rest of the family want to apply for our visitors visa. I don’t when is the appropriate time. Is it while she is still in Nigeria or when she gets to Canada? I will advise your spouse sends mail to an MP of the province he/she is resident in explaining EMOTIONALLY how the delay is especially when a child is the subject here. You do this before disturbing IRCC. The MP will help ginger the visa officer handling the app. Who in turn will most definitely send an update maybe requesting for a consent letter from the other spouse in Nigeria(a maybe). Try this and see what will happen. |

obaalasepe: @ Makano what will you advise a 40 years old applicant who had just a diploma in Early Childhood Education to go for? Advanced diploma or BSC? Which is better? How can he defend academic progression. Thanks Age is not a barrier when it comes to applying for a study permit. Your best bet is a mn advanced diploma in a courses related to what you present do for a living. That way, it helps to justify your reasons for wanting to study the intended course(career and academic progression) and also explains what you have been doing after your last certificate (diploma). chukshobayo: Good day house! Please I need advice here. A relative of mine consulted an agent to process Canada work visa for me. Along the line I started doubting this agent. That was when I searched on this thread and discover that one can apply without an agent per se. I wish I knew this earlier. Now I want to see if I can apply through study route. My fear is that I dont know the extent to which this agent has gone as they don't update me properly on the steps neither do I see mails as to the update of the visa process. The only thing is that they ask for some documents which i have submitted were poloce reports, passport data page and passport photograph and other documents but no updates on how far it has gone. So is it possible for me to go ahead and try the study route process especially for masters degree though I would love to apply for PhD but don't think I have enough funds to process it so I settled to try the masters degree route. Thanks Tell the agent you wish to withdraw the application.. The process takes 2days and its done and the withdrawal letter sent to you. it is completely free incase your agent tries to be clever. There is no work visa for Canada. Most employers dont offer employment to internationals that are no in Canada Do that asap.. no delays, demand for your login details as well to get |

I have someone that received a PFL today on "Proof of funds". The applicant bank statements are genuine and was uploaded on the finance section of the visa portal but now, the applicant mistaken included a shares doc which was original in the client information section.
My question is, this PFL, is it on the bank statement or on the shares doc ?
If the later, any clue how I can advise him to remedy the situation.. |

dunah: Hi Friends, my brother passport was requested since Feb 23 2023 and we sent it to them the next week around 26th, and until now we have not received the passport yet, we got the IMM 5813 letter of approval ( your application to study in Canada has been initially approved by immigration...) on 9th of March, until today 24/3/2022 we haven't received the passport from the agency/DHL. Mind you we apply through a Education Consultant Maple, my brother is worried and I am getting worried too, DOES IT TAKE THIS LONG FOT THEM TO SEND THE PASSPORTS OUT, Please any advice will be appreciated thanks. If you get a Passport request, you will definitely see your application has been approved. Therefore this story didnt add up. If the story is and you have not gotten the passport back, it is probably the embassy has discovered something fishy(mostly fraudulent documentation) which will be communicated to him. Other wise, you can mail vfs to inquire |

Please I need help and clarification on something. I'm about to apply for my Canada study permit and I want to know if i can use two accounts for my proof of funds. One is my dads account and the other is a non relatives account Any third party sponsorship must go along with evidence to prove convincingly your relationship between you and the "non relative". What about your own account? |

The first page of this thread has all the information you may need Its quite simple, google for schools and courses related wat you do for a living. Ensure you are fully aware of the school refund policy before applying cos most schools will demand for a tuition deposit once admission is granted. Take you time to study the thread. I believe someone was just approved today and he dropped docs he applied for visa with as it applies to you. You can ask further questions and the gurus will respond with answers. |

WiZiggy: Hello makano, I was denied Canada tourist visa in 2009, and in 2015 I was denied us tourist visa both based on 'not convinced I would return after my visit' it was my inlaw who processed the US visit visa and honestly not sure if he declared I was denied Canada visa, cos I was never asked and he may not be aware, this happened in 2015. How do I know what was filled in my application.? I tried in the past to get details of that application but he couldn't remember a thing. I intend to declare both refusals in my SP application but I'm kinda worried what information that was saved in my US refused application. Please advise You have to declare these refusals otherwise you risk being banned for 5years |

Been a while since I have been on this forum. I would like to enquire about the CIBC - https://pay.cibc.com/conestogacollege option of payment for Conestoga college. I see the breakdown for 1500CAD is about 520K NGN, please gurus has any one used this before. I don't want my cash to be stuck in an international portal.
Many thanks, People use that link.. It creates an invoice specific to you which you will take to your bank if you wish to pay using a bank Form A FYI- paying through bank sometimes takes a long time for you to be debited other times it fast |

Nyaoffiong: Thanks for your response. I have order for GCMS notes. See below the reason while awaiting for the GCMS note:
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee" You didnt convince the visa officer with evidence, factors that would neccesitate your return after your studies. |
