olasubomy: Dear All, Good morning and trust you had a restful night. I have applied to the University of New Brunswick for MBA and and indicated Jan 2021 semester so awaiting their decision. But i would like to ask for those that got an admit for Masters or MBA in UNB. How long was the waiting time before you got admission decision because i am seeing something on their FAQ " that processing time can take up to 6 months" reading that was scary because i don't even have up to two months if i have to apply for VISA against Jan 2021.
2) I noticed i am not able to see updated status of my application. One of my referees has filled the referee form online and submitted but i did not get a prompt.
Please my Gurus and ogas in the house and those familiar with University of New Brunswick, help throw more light on this? Not familiar with University of New Brunswick but I know that admission for masters takes 5-6months with no guarantees of getting admission. So its a 50/50 situation. I know a friend that applied to Brondon university and after 6months, he got the "unfortunately you didnt meet the course admission requirements. |

..But is it possible to defer and work after I get to Canada some agents told me this before these guys. I still wasn't sure that's why I decided to ask. Those agents are lying to you dear.. Immigration will cancel your study permit as you have violated the term of your study permit. I currently know two pple in court with cic on this scenario. Some pple will get away with it though, but when its time to apply for PR and they do their background checks, it will fail. Check you mail |

bobogee007: Good morning house please help a brother. I applied for Global business management fall 2020 and my study permit is still under processing since May 27. But due to current pandemic so I'm forced to defer my admission because no AIP yet. So my concern now is I deferred my admission to winter 2021 but to my surprise I was given Project Management as the new course within an hour with new LOA and Tuition recipit payment. So I have to defer my admission again because the Project Management does not align with my previous course of study and uptill now I've not gotten any response from them. Hope I have not done something wrong because I can't afford to loose my tuition fee Theres no way the school will change your course without notifying you unless they did but you didnt see it. Again, was Project management the second choice you chose. Finally, they changed your course cos probaly Global business management department is filled up before you applied for deferment. |

Genevach: Please can someone help me verify this information, 2 friends, 1st studies in the US, the 2nd in Canada, they said after their first year, they deferred their admission (left school for 6months- a year) to work and later went back when their finance was stronger.
PLS IS THIS POSSIBLE AND ADVISABLE ?..
Please help a brother... Are they currently in school if they have already started classes ,they can't defer the admission cos they have registered for classes. If they are not in school, you can defer your admission as long as you deferred on time before school resumption. |

philonyx: Please I submitted my study permit application before the school opened for registration and tuition payment. Then I deposited part of my tuition (though I didn't use my sponsors account for the transaction) about $1500 . My question is can I raise a webform sharing my transaction receipt for it to enhance my Visa application approval or will this info be gotten from the school once contacted If you paid your tuition deposit, the school is meant to issue you a receipt to that effect. Thats what you will send to IRCC via webform. Also you can't tell exactly what will enhance your chances of an approval which is why we rely on submitting all necessary documents to show our eligibility to offered a visa and most importantly trust in God. |

librangyps: You might have sent the web form to a wrong VAC not handling your application.
If you applied from Nigeria, send to Kenya visa office. Also cross check you filled out the form correctly The bolded is not the reason. Rather the unbolded. You can send to any of the offices and they will forward to the right office handling your application which is why they needed the correct information |

I have attached a screenshot of the email I got.
Please kindly advise me Its either theres an error in the name you gave or passport number or date of birth or UCI number or country of birth or application number or type of application or current address or phone number or email address.. Kindly resend by making sure it tallies with all the info you submitted. |

I have a LOA since March, my tuition fee is around 3.5m and my sponsor‘s (my father) account balance is around 5m currently which is likely to increase anytime. My question is; Can I go ahead and apply with that because that’s the only thing delaying my application? Ps: My course start date has been moved to November You need $10,000cad extra for living expences. If you can get a co-sponsor.. It will be better and faster |

TimAke: I have some questions please,
Is there a confirmation by IRCC that POF will be rechecked during the second stage?
Also, When you talk about POF being intact and sufficient, do bank give the exact amount applicants have in their bank account to VOs? They work with the POF you submitted .. They dont go beyond the last date on the 4-6months statement of account. The bank dont have the legal right to give any soul your present account balance. what they do is, IRCC ask the bank if such transaction was made at so so day or if this person had this amount in his account so so day. |

Godlives1: Good morning all, I've been following this thread for sometime, and I must say, you guys are the best. I want to apply to MUN, September 2021, for MA Economics. I have a 2.2 (3.3) in Education/Economics (B.Sc) and a masters in Accounting and Finance. The requirement is second class honours (CGPA is not specified) in Economics or related course and applicants are strongly encouraged to provide GRE score. The MA Economics is 1 year program (course based), although there is option of opting for thesis based, which is 2 years. But I prefer the 1 year option, as would be sponsoring myself. I have 3 dependants (wife and 2 kids), who would be joining me after I land in Canada. Tuition is 6,654CAD, LE = 10,000CAD, approximately N4.8m. Another N2.8m for dependants
My questions: 1. What are my chances of getting admission? 2. The GRE score, is there any possibility of waving it for me? And how long does it take before test result comes out. 3. I heard applicants for Master's program are giving preference when it comes to traveling with family. How true is this?
All the gurus in the house, I would appreciate a quick answer. 1) Your chances of gaining admissions for a masters is slim to impossible. I will advice you dont waste your money trying to apply with limited guarantees. Your best bet is a PGD. 2) For a PGD, you dont need a GRE. Also English proficiency is waived for Nigerian internationals. 3) That information is false pls. No preference is given to anybody be it masters , PHD or PGD. All you need to to show genuineness of your intentions to travel to canada for your studies(career progression) plus if you have the financial muscle to take care of yourself. |

Ysakaws1: 22 weeks Almost 6 months?? That is much oh. Secondly, you don’t understand my situation. I am aware I do not need to deposit fees to apply for visa, and I’m not planning to. My situation is that my school stated that I have to pay my fees by October 15 to secure my seat. The problem about that is my sponsor won’t pay the fees if my visa is still under processing. He will only pay if I have been given visa, and I’m just about to apply for the visa this month. What is the probability that I would have gotten a visa decision by October 15? Okay.. Well I dont really know ...nobody here knows |
