Dipsong: Yes ho we blacks here are even better than the blacks over there . Give him some years usa will deal with him it might be rape case if bill gates and zuker used to do this then i would say his making sense but for me he his a black american fool . Would that have been difficult if he invested in education, healthcare, black women's rights etc so blacks are respected as Asians are in the US Floyd Mayweather made a stupendous amount of money, upwards of $200 million perhaps, for pummeling Manny Pacquiao around the ring the other night. Some portion of that sum will presumably end up in the Floyd Mayweather Foundation.
In 2012, the boxer who calls himself “Money” gave $200,000 to the Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas. Other donations have included $255,000 for the Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School, $150,000 to Habitat for Humanity in Las Vegas, and $115,000 to the Susan G. Komen chapter of Southern Nevada.
But the Mayweather Foundation hasn’t given out very much—$500 in 2013, $40,695 in 2012, nothing in 2011, nothing in 2010, nothing in 2009, and nothing in 2008, though in some of those years, other expenditures of the foundation might have been construed as program services of a charitable sort, such as $100,000 for “Superfest” in Las Vegas in 2009 and $30,273 in “direct aid” in 2008. Reportedly, Mayweather intends to devote himself more to the foundation after he retires from boxing. He has hinted that he might retire with his record, as a result of the Pacquiao victory, at 49-0, just like Rocky Marciano. His sponsorship of a Fight 4 Fitness 5K run in Las Vegas just last month might be evidence of his increasing philanthropic interest.
Mayweather has done other things with his money, some a little weirder and more disturbing, such as sponsoring a “strip-off” for exotic dancers. He might have considered doing something more substantive for women than a strip-off, but that would have required owning up to his record of sexual abuse.

9jaRealist: Ahem...sorry to disappoint you... But it’s still very much ALIVE and kicking!
For starters, you seem to MISUNDERSTAND what the “Eko Gas” project is. It is NOT a Lagos State government company or a direct investment project by the LASG. Rather, it is a POLICY project - to increase the usage of LPG as domestic fuel (instead of wood, kerosene, etc.) by Lagos residents. Accordingly, pursuant to the initiative the LASG partnered with PRIVATE companies like Oando, NIPCO, NAPGAS, Banner Gas, Chimons Gas, etc. In fact, the launching of the project by Fashola was done at an Oando (“O-Gas”) re-filing facility. The increasing use of LPG cooking gas by Lagosians suffered a slight set-back in about 2017 when there was an LPG Skid Plant explosion that led to the closing down of all such plants located in residential areas, but that temporary setback has been overcome and the ‘Eko Gas’ project is still very much alive. fitzmayowa: It seems fashola is the only ACN governor doing exceptionally well...Nice one FASH More than six years after, have one million people converted to gas from kerosene EkoIle1: Jun 12, 2013
The Lagos State Government said it would launch its new clean energy programme, tagged ‘Eko Gas’, aimed at encouraging utilisation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the state.
The Commissioner of Energy and Mineral Resources, Taofeeq Ajibade Tijani, who disclosed this said the programme is expected to convert about one million people to using LPG, otherwise known as cooking gas in the next five years. Ajibade said the scheme would be officially launched by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, who has made commitment to create incentives for prospective consumers of gas.
According to him, “The state is more focused on promoting greater use of cooking gas in Nigeria by focusing on convenience, cost and safety through excellent gas supply services and development of innovative gas products.”
He said that the essence of the project was to ensure that cooking gas was brought to the door step of all residents of Lagos, especially the low income group, at affordable prices. The project tagged ‘Eko Gas’ would be targeted at the low income group that relies on kerosene because of the erroneous impression that LPG is more expensive.
“The Lagos State Government plans to increase the use of cooking gas among a significant proportion of the populace within the next five years,” he said.
On safety concerns that are raised frequently by potential users of cooking gas, Tijani stated that the product was designed and fabricated with distinguishing qualities such as safety, affordability, portability and environmental friendliness. According to him, about 20 per cent of the cost of cylinder would be eased by the government, in other to encourage Lagosians to the use LPG. - See more at: http://leadership.ng/news/100613/lagos-state-launch-eko-gas-initiative#sthash.eIqriQfl.dpuf www.nairaland.com/attachments/3130620_312618210455925102083392872603702040434416570868664njpegaeee09ac222946bb55e282b101a666f8_jpeg2ed8a7a281c137a6d72df9058e760f35 |

Is barawo bubu telling lies or he is just confused profola2be: I think this is a welcome development. what is your take on this?
NNPC to be sole petrol importer, says Emefiele CBN
PAYMENT of subsidy on fuel importation and Foreign Exchange (FOREX) differentials on bank loans granted to marketers by the Federal Government are to end soon. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, said the government was doing everything to ensure that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) become sole importer of petroleum products. Members of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) have been on a running battle with the Federal Government over subsidy claims running into several millions of dollars. But Emefiele said President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the NNPC to cut down on importation by reactivating the four refineries and ensuring they function at installed capacities. Speaking in an interview with Financial Times of London, the CBN chief said: “The President came on board and said that we will work very hard to reduce importation of petroleum products by ensuring that our refineries work. Our refineries are working now. “The Warri and Port Harcourt refineries have started producing. They have not obtained the optimal capacity but they will. The Kaduna refinery will start working this month. “Now, there are other actions that the Presidency is putting in place to ensure that we reduce importation of petroleum products where the NNPC will solely, almost solely be responsible for procuring refined petroleum. ”Those who are importing petroleum products will only just need to go to the NNPC and pick up petroleum products. “So, in that area, I would say that we are already moving in the direction of reducing the import of petroleum products. And we will achieve it.” On the efforts being made by the President to recoup stolen oil revenues believed to have been deposited in foreign banks, Emefiele said the issue was still being looked at, assuring that “as the Central Bank, we will also assist in drilling them once we get to that stage, and we will be happy to have that money back because it will improve our reserves”.

princeade86: lol. No be wetin fashola talk be that ni before they got power. 1United1: State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said the only way the country can have stable electricity is to vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election.
Fashola, who gave the counsel while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.
He said,” Yes I agree with you that it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity, we have to do the right thing. But you know what, the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP. ” In 16 years hundreds of billions of naira have been spent and we cannot switch on electricity and in seven years we have created four plants. It shows that something is missing. So unless you vote for All Progressive Congress it is going to be difficult to have electricity. “They started from vision 2020-20 and I told you then that they were having a nightmare, that there was no vision. “They moved to seven point agenda and now they are transforming.” http://thenationonlineng.net/new/to-have-stable-electricity-vote-out-pdp-fashola/ www.nairaland.com/attachments/3530686_buharihair_jpeg_jpeg7922f099f97c59fa623acaa847a386e8 |

comshots: I think Mr President meant the generator in aso rock that is supplying 24hours power supply should be improved more than that. Terrible failed promises of barawo bubu and APC everywhere. boman2014: Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power, will be getting at least N11.5 billion as its allocation in the 2018 budget.
Of that amount, N45.68 million was budgeted for power plants and generator fuel. N45.54 million was budgeted for the same item in the 2017 budget, N140,000 lesser than that of this year.
Also, a total of N1 billion was budgeted for the Aso Rock Medical Centre, while it got N331.7 million during the 2017 fiscal year, thus an extra allocation of N668.2 million.
This is different from the N36.8 million meant for “drugs and medical supplies” for the state house – and yes, the N1 billion covers a sum of N208.3 million meant for the same purpose.
There is also a separate N51.8 million budgeted as “medical expenses” for the seat of power, and another N15.8 million allocated for “digital medical references”.
Last year, TheCable found out that the state house clinic – not used by the president who seeks medical attention abroad – did not have the commonest of medications, paracetamol, syringe, cotton wool etc.
The sum of N907.1 million was budgeted for the purchase of new vehicles for Aso Rock while N165 million would be used for the maintenance of existing ones. In 2017, N100.8 million was used for purchase of new vehicles while N188 million was budgeted for maintenance of available ones.
A total of N28 million was budgeted for the state house ranch as well as for “wildlife conservation capture”, while the garden, “routine floral arrangement” and upgrade of helipad grassfield got N24 million.
