greiboy: not this Mr brainy one I mean atichukwu record in government vs buhari's record Those you have highlighted are political prostitutes like atichukwu that your saint party ( pdp) is working hard to bring back oops you even forgot to edit the name of atichukwu. You have proven my points for me Saint party is the All Poverty Congress, APC na with barawo bubu and JagaBandit drug dealer as the leaders with their 40 thieves cabal presidency, not so? freeze001: http://dailypost.ng/2017/01/25/resign-now-corrupt-aisha-yesuf%e2%80%8e-tells-buhari/
The co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, group, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter to the Senate on why he cannot sack and prosecute indicted Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal.
Recall that Babachir had been alleged to have diverted money meant to fight humanitarian crisis in the North East, and the senate had called for his arrest and prosecution.
But Buhari, on Monday had explained why he cannot honour the senate’s report calling for Lawal’s arrest, prosecution and sack.
In her reaction, Yesufu called out the President, saying the reason for his defense was because he was corrupt.
In a series of tweets on her Twitter handle@AishaYesufu , she called on Buhari to resign.
She tweeted: “Does the President need the senate to even sack d SGF? You must not only talk tough. You must act it.
“It’s surprisingly amazing. President Buhari that was using sachet of milk and beverage now carrying teapot in London. Wahala dey.
“I will rather die imprisoned for saying the truth than become Defender of the Corrupt like President Buhari.
“Democracy is not fraud. The win for me was that we changed a sitting government and we would again Insha Alla.
“If Pres Buhari @MBuhari has any shred of honour, character & integrity he should RESIGN. Enough of the damage that might last a generation.
“If President Buhari can clear someone that stole 200m from vulnerable IDPs in this type of recession, then imagine what he would have done in abundance.
“Either Babachir looted on behalf of Buhari or President Buhari has looted more and Babachir has evidence or PMB is going senile.
“In Nigeria when one is poor one is faceless, nameless and voiceless. President Buhari whom the poor supported massively just reaffirmed it.
“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.
“In Nigeria it seems stealing is not crime. It’s stealing small amount or stealing while you are poor or with no connection that’s the crime.
“Rich Nigerians must get fair hearing. The rest can be lynched for whatever reason on the streets. Whatever you do, don’t be poor in Nigeria.
“And I would give up on it if you actually stood up for him.” https://i1.wp.com/icirnigeria.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Why-I-Didnt-Sack-SGF-%E2%80%93-Buhari.jpg |

wirinet: Very disjointed story with no fact or source, just the speculations and ideas of the writer. It failed to answer any of the following questions; How much did the the UK give Buhari as aid to fight Boko Haram? How exactly did Buhari use aid money to fight political opponents? Did he pay contractors or hired assassins to go after his political opponents? I thought if he wanted to go after political opponents, he will use existing state security services like the Police, DSS, EFCC, etc, what does he need to spend extra money for? Please see below and redeem yourself of your blindness. anonimi: Most of the arrests have been sanctioned by the government-controlled Economic and Financial Crime Commission, which was set up to tackle corruption and receives funding from the Department for International Development. www.nairaland.com/attachments/6421304_fbimg1501875683384_jpeg02cdd19db3dd806e52fd2cf3cf0451a7 |

That is why we end up being slaves in Libya after risking the Sahara desert and trying to die in the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe as underemployed second class citizens. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4914275_df_jpeg373e55dea7e43f08e80004f94f67a4a7 todaynewsreview: The bodies of at least 74 migrants have been washed ashore in western Libya, in the latest tragedy along the dangerous trafficking route to Europe. The Libyan Red Crescent posted photos of dozens of bodies in black and white bags lined up along the shore near the western city of Zawiya. A spokesman for the aid organisation said there were still bodies floating out at sea as the agency had no way of retrieving them. He said the migrants were all adults, mostly from sub-Saharan African countries, and all but three were men. The UN migration agency, the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), said the dinghy had set off on Saturday with 110 people on board. The agency said traffickers deliberately took the engines from the boat and then abandoned it to drift.

In a bid to launder his already battered image, President Muhammadu Buhari has allocated a whooping sum of N39 billion in the 2016 budget to the Ministry of Information and Culture, a sum higher than the paltry N29 billion allocated to the Ministry of Agriculture.
This is a direct inverse of the 2015 budget, where Former President Goodluck Jonathan allocated the sum of N23 billion to Ministry of Information and N39 billion to the Agricultural Ministry.
The meager allocation to the Agricultural ministry has left political stakeholders wondering if the present administration aims at diversifying the economy or thriving on propaganda.
Buhari had in August, 2015 stated that Nigerians must stop paying mere lip service to agriculture, as crude oil and gas exports will no longer be sufficient as the country’s major revenue earner.
“It’s time to go back to the land. We must face the reality that the petroleum we had depended on for so long will no longer suffice. We campaigned heavily on agriculture, and we are ready to assist as many want to go into agricultural ventures,’’ Buhari stated.
However investigations by Post Nigeria revealed that Buhari’s words did not match his action following the lean budgetary provision for Agriculture.

Esseite: Very few men would tell you as it is.... Balarabe Musa is one of those few men, apparently. Buhari, APC deceived Nigerians with empty promises – Balarabe Musa December 11, 2017
Former Governor of the old Kaduna State, and National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party PRP, Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa on Monday took a swipe on President Muhammadu Buhari.
The former Governor also called out the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, saying that they rode to power on false and empty promises.
Musa spoke at the 54th meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC, of PRP, where he noted that none of the promises made by Buhari and APC before coming to power in 2015 had been fulfilled.
He said, “As you are all aware, our nation today remains in a very sorry state despite all the lofty promises and flowery speeches made by the ruling government of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the inception of the Administration in 2015.
“The economy remains comatose, and in some sectors, particularly in industry and commerce, it is even getting worse.
“Monetary and fiscal management has continued to lack coherence and consistency, or even predictability and strategic planning.
“Unemployment, particularly amongst the youth, who constitute the bulk of our population, has assumed critical proportions and is now, for all practical purposes, a national emergency.
“Yet, this APC Administration, which rode to power on the back of false promises to this generation of hapless young men and women, seems to have no answers to this ticking time bomb beyond slogans such as N-Power.
“In fact, instead of creating jobs, the Administration is busy cutting existing ones in the name of ‘rightsizing’ or ‘downsizing’.
“This government, both at the centre and in the States that it controls, has proved that it has little or nothing else to provide Nigerians other than further mass impoverishment, frustration and hardships.
“If we turn to the security front, the same sad picture confronts us. Perhaps, President Muhammadu Buhari’s greatest appeal for many in 2015 was the belief that he was capable of dealing a death blow to the insurgency, particularly as manifested by Boko Haram.
“In these almost three years that the APC has been in power, the reality has been otherwise.
“Yes, the Boko Haram camps in the Sambisa forest may have been wiped out, but the security menace that the group poses continues to manifest, with suicide bombs exploding almost on a weekly basis, particularly in the North Eastern parts of the country.
“But apart from the Boko Haram insurgency, others have emerged in different parts of the country.
“Recently, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) unleashed mayhem in the South East. Similarly, the militants in the Niger Delta are yet to sheath their swords.
“And even more ominous is the threat to public safety and the security of lives and property posed by the marauding gangs of cattle rustlers, killer herdsmen and armed kidnappers.
“We ask, where is the security promised Nigerians by this APC administration?.
“In so far as the political environment is concerned, again the story is a sad one. Lacking any internal cohesion within itself, the APC administration has only spawned and promoted institutional political decay in the country.
“In the name of an anti-corruption campaign, the government has been consistently assaulting due process and the rule of law.
“Court orders are flagrantly disobeyed by the very institutions that should enforce them. “Basic democratic rights are being cynically abused. While talking glibly about fighting corruption, the government shamelessly looks askance where corruption is exposed within its own very ranks, closets and cocoons.”

Aisha, the wife of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has said she may not back her husband’s re-election in 2019 unless he shakes up his cabinet.
In an interview with the BBC, Mrs. Buhari said the president “does not know” most of the top officials he appointed to office.
Mr. Buhari has not indicated whether or not he will seek re-election, and according to his wife, he has not told his family too.
“He is yet to tell me (if he’ll seek re-election) but I have decided as his wife, that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again,” she said.

https://www.theelitesng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/image562.jpg
A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cleared the air on the alleged enmity between him and a former two-term Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Tinubu, who spoke through Mr. Wale Edun at the 25th anniversary celebration of Otunba Gbenga Daniels’ Kresta Laurel, said there is no truth in the stories that he has been fighting with Gbenga Daniel, adding that they are still good friends.
Edun said: “I am here representing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and my presence is to show that there is no friction between Asiwaju and Otunba Gbenga Daniel”
Mr. Edun went on to explain that whenever Tinubu drives past the Kresta Laurel building in Maryland, Lagos, he remembers the enormous contributions Daniel made to the take off of his administration in 1999 and was immensely grateful.
He revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain was very gracious to donate the Kresta Laurel building to Tinubu’s campaign team at the time it was just being completed.
“The Daniels also made a section of their home available to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu whenever he worked too late and could not go home. After the election, he also allowed us to use it for the Transition Committee where he was a member”

Don't worry we are all in the suffering together, don't worry. Nigerians face bleak Christmas amidst economic hardship 16 December 2017
Despite the cheering news that Nigeria was out of recession, economic power of most Nigerians is still low. As such, politicians, civil servants and private sector workers have been faced with low purchasing power.Speaking to The Guardian, Oloye Oina Joseph, a graduate and photographer said: “Recent economic statistics showed that Nigeria is getting out of recession, but Nigerians are not feeling the impact.
“I am yet to see the change, because things are even worse. Things are very expensive in the market and purchasing power is very low. There is no money. Prices of commodities are still high and standard of living is still very poor and people are suffering. It is not easy.“Imagine few days to Christmas, the price of fuel has increased again due to scarcity. What does that tells you? The exchange rate is high. Everything is almost getting out the common man’s reach.
