How many doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians and other health workers have been employed annually in Okoroawusa's seven year rule ruin Abi hospital buildings and fancy equipment can work all by themselves ni?
Azam101: That is Douglas market in owerri I gone there before it was pathetic.
Meanwhile the useless governor is buying $600 million Christmas tree from the Chinese and building statues for his fellow useless African leaders looters When shall we be wise and rise up from mental slavery?
36STATES: All these rice that come out during christmas and sallah are to me all imported rice. Why is the rice not in the market? Is this a charity rice? If this is a true agro business as I thought, with market forces taken into account; why are they not making available for everyone to buy in the market? All these state government rice is just a propaganda.
Osucoward: I agree! Question is, how can the SW enter and dominate the food producer market?
Lesser owambe to have more savings for investment in agro-allied industries and research would be a good start, don't you think
Adieza: With cousins like these it is hard for me to get out of bed some days to get to the work of helping my people. I just wonder where it all went wrong.
Akolawole: The typing quality of that "court" paper can NEVER be from United States. BAT still travel to US but their Atiku stay-put
He travels because he forfeited $460,000 to pay off his drug dealer crime. That is why your Asiwaju Asiwere was so broke when he returned in 1998 that he started begging Senator Akerele-Bucknor for food and Gbenga Daniel for accommodation after begging Baba Dawodu for governorship ticket. Today, the JagaBandit owns all of Lagos, south west and Edo.
I remain grateful to Gbenga Daniel – Tinubu dismisses rift rumors
A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cleared the air on the alleged enmity between him and a former two-term Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Tinubu, who spoke through Mr. Wale Edun at the 25th anniversary celebration of Otunba Gbenga Daniels’ Kresta Laurel, said there is no truth in the stories that he has been fighting with Gbenga Daniel, adding that they are still good friends.
Edun said: “I am here representing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and my presence is to show that there is no friction between Asiwaju and Otunba Gbenga Daniel”
Mr. Edun went on to explain that whenever Tinubu drives past the Kresta Laurel building in Maryland, Lagos, he remembers the enormous contributions Daniel made to the take off of his administration in 1999 and was immensely grateful.
He revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain was very gracious to donate the Kresta Laurel building to Tinubu’s campaign team at the time it was just being completed.
“The Daniels also made a section of their home available to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu whenever he worked too late and could not go home. After the election, he also allowed us to use it for the Transition Committee where he was a member”
Nutase: He has started running his mouth after surviving the last deposition attempt. Sanusi's mouth is his Achilles heel and until he learns to tame it he might end up being deposed.
He also has itchy, sticky fingers for stealing our money from oil revenues and haram alcohol VAT from lagos.
Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.
Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.
Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien. http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=24587
13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words... “Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,” “The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”. http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923
Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.
April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the Emir of Kano raised an issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion. “What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…" Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)
The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013.
The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013.
According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are:
Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria.
(B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system.

Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the burly but tactless governor of Oyo State has been in the news for the wrong reasons. That does not bother him apparently. And ordinarily it should not bother this writer, who not being from Oyo, could be rightly accused of being a meddlesome interloper. The purpose of this piece however is not whether this self-assigned wailing wailer has the locus to interrogate the governor’s stewardship or not. There are many eminently qualified indigenes and residents of Oyo State who are better qualified to undertake that task. The intention here is simply to extrapolate the isolated case of Mr. Ajimobi’s recent gaffe as a template for discussing leadership failure in Nigeria and most of its constituent parts. The phrase ‘constituted authority’ was recently foisted on the lexicon of public discourse by the garrulous governor. In fact, thanks to social media and the ubiquity of its eternal imprints, no one can reasonably deny the governor credit for the notorious connotation the phrase now commands. That is surely a remarkable achievement for a governor whose critics say his tenure in office so far has brought nothing more than disrepute to governance and disgrace to the rich heritage of the Oyo people he leads (or misleads, as it were). But as stated earlier, let us leave the full story of Ajimobi’s governance in Oyo for another day and for those better qualified to discharge that responsibility. Suffice for this piece to celebrate his sterling contribution to the vocabulary of public discourse in Nigeria. That inglorious intervention has made the governor popular albeit a butt of jokes in conversations everywhere- in students’ hostels, beer parlours, business boardrooms, corridors of power and conclaves of constituted authorities. For those who missed the story of ‘constituted authority’ a quick reference to YouTube to view the pathetic video of Mr. Ajimobi’s bellicose interaction with protesting undergraduates of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) may be worth the while. In the clip, you find a governor debasing his otherwise esteemed office by trying too hard to assert himself over students who ironically were enjoying the humour of subtly undressing the arrogance of a magisterial overlord.
Booby88: APC is dead in Oyo... Ajumobi's abysmal performance nailed the party here. Never again In Ladoja and Makinde we believe
It is up to the LAUTECH students and other youths whom Ajimobi and his daughter lambasted while forming constituted authority to save money, raise funds and mobilise others to massively vote out the All Poverty Congress, APC. Talking on nairaland alone won't do it! Never did!! Never will!!!

ZombiePUNISHER: Why make fashola the sacrificial lamb of Apc
Apc have failed woefully No sector is working Corruption is the order of the day
No thanks to the nepotic Daura President An epitome of failure A man who came to Aso rock just to fulfill his bucket list of gallivanting round the world
kizolo: If 'upright' Fashola steals N16bn through budget padding how much then would the really corrupt ones like Amaechi now steal?
Let me come and be going to ask the minister of propaganda, Alhaji LIE Mohammed.
Revealed: How Buhari Budgeted N39 billion for Propaganda
In a bid to launder his already battered image, President Muhammadu Buhari has allocated a whooping sum of N39 billion in the 2016 budget to the Ministry of Information and Culture, a sum higher than the paltry N29 billion allocated to the Ministry of Agriculture.
This is a direct inverse of the 2015 budget, where Former President Goodluck Jonathan allocated the sum of N23 billion to Ministry of Information and N39 billion to the Agricultural Ministry.
The meager allocation to the Agricultural ministry has left political stakeholders wondering if the present administration aims at diversifying the economy or thriving on propaganda.
Buhari had in August, 2015 stated that Nigerians must stop paying mere lip service to agriculture, as crude oil and gas exports will no longer be sufficient as the country’s major revenue earner.
“It’s time to go back to the land. We must face the reality that the petroleum we had depended on for so long will no longer suffice. We campaigned heavily on agriculture, and we are ready to assist as many want to go into agricultural ventures,’’ Buhari stated.
However investigations by Post Nigeria revealed that Buhari’s words did not match his action following the lean budgetary provision for Agriculture.
BeeBeeOoh: This is a man that some people always say that he has Nigeria's matter at heart. Sai Chain-Ji, Sai Barber
Barawo bubu and his 40 thieves cabal presidency of the All Poverty Congress, APC took us for fools. Looting us like crazy instead of fighting kwarupshion.
sunnyb0b0: Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.
According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.
Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.
Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.
The case was subsequently struck out.
A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.
The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.
Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.
The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.
“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.
At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.
“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.
At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.
TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.
His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.
