mohaMADbuari:
President Muhammadu Buhari, who spoke briefly on Wednesday with Sky News’ Diplomatic Editor, Dominic Waghorn, after he delivered his keynote address at the Commonwealth event, agreed with the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, that Nigeria is a “fantastically corrupt” country.

President Buhari made the admittance to Sky News’ Diplomatic Editor, Dominic Waghorn in London.
In the 29 seconds chat minutes monitored by our correspondent, Waghorn had pressed president Buhari to know whether Nigeria Nigeria was “fantastically corrupt”, surprisingly, the president admitted.

The chat went this way:

Sky news: Will you like an apology from the prime minister?

Buhari: “No, no not at all”

Sky news: Are you embarrassed by what he said?

Buhari: “No I’m not.”

Sky news: Is Nigeria fantastically corrupt?

Buhari: “Yes very corrupt”

But according the Correspondent, Senators Chukwuka Utazi, chairman, senate committee on anti-corruption and financial crimes and Dino Melaye were not happy with Cameron’s comment on Nigeria.

For Utazi, “I am taken aback. I am not happy about it,” while for Melaye, it was “reckless” and “demeaning”.

Below is the video of the interaction posted on the news medium’s website.

They should bother with us anyway. As David Cameron said. This place is fantasticly currupt. They don't have any vested interest in us. Everyone complaining about multnational companies stealing is a little strange. Didn't they get permission from Nigerian gov.
And our DullardPoo chief tenant in Aso Rock agreed with him, not so huh

Why hadn't Nigerian government that had all land and mineral right govrnment given contract to Nigerian companies?

Next question to ask why did they did we allow them to run oil business at all? They ran it into ground, refineries don't work and need to be sold off.
Simple.
We do not have the required technology since we do not value education for ALL our children that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics- STEM.
Is that not so huh

When Nigerian politicians steal they take money to Western banks. They gladly except money use it to develop their country and laugh at us for being idiots.
Is that not what we are? Idiots huh
Don't we keep electing these same rogues as our leaders looters to rule ruin us every time?
From the LGA to the state to the federal tiers of government.
Both in the executive and legislative arms of government.
So who should we blame for our FOOLISHNESS and idiocy apart from ourselves?
Who?

How old is Buratai and how old is Dambazau to have worked in the army for 35 years?
They started at what rank and on what salary?

Has it occured to you that PEJ may be a business woman?
Are you not better off asking for her TAX returns to confirm she adequately declared and paid TAX on the earned income?

Maybe you are afraid that your Asiwaju Asiwere who is from Oshodi and forfeited his money for drug dealing is now the richest Yoruba man but no TAX returns to show how he came about his corrupt wealth.

I remain grateful to Gbenga Daniel – Tinubu dismisses rift rumors

https://www.theelitesng.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/image562.jpg

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cleared the air on the alleged enmity between him and a former two-term Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Tinubu, who spoke through Mr. Wale Edun at the 25th anniversary celebration of Otunba Gbenga Daniels’ Kresta Laurel, said there is no truth in the stories that he has been fighting with Gbenga Daniel, adding that they are still good friends.

Edun said: “I am here representing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and my presence is to show that there is no friction between Asiwaju and Otunba Gbenga Daniel”

Mr. Edun went on to explain that whenever Tinubu drives past the Kresta Laurel building in Maryland, Lagos, he remembers the enormous contributions Daniel made to the take off of his administration in 1999 and was immensely grateful.

He revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain was very gracious to donate the Kresta Laurel building to Tinubu’s campaign team at the time it was just being completed.

“The Daniels also made a section of their home available to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu whenever he worked too late and could not go home.
After the election, he also allowed us to use it for the Transition Committee where he was a member”

I kind of see your point, and suspect you are right that Buhari's trip for ear infection treatment in UK was a smokescreen for secret discussions with Western powers; because it was during that trip that his forex policy was abandoned for the forex policy of devaluation / "flexibility" the West and IMF had been pushing for. Good.

Nigerians know how to handle tough times.
We will excel whether Buhari likes it or not.
Change begins with me, but they can't change from wasting our scarce resources in driving expensive official cars.

God must sustain the poor masses of 9ja.
They know we are 200 million mumus whom they can rule anyhow.

In terms of presidential cars, there is change indeed.
While GEJ was riding an ordinary Mercedes-Benz S 350, Muhammadu Buhari prefers much more expensive and luxury model – Mercedes-Maybach S600.

Mercedes-Maybach S600 described as “an extra highlight in the luxury segment.” While both Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari prefer Mercedes-Benz, it seems that Jonathan’s taste in cars is much more simplistic than Buhari’s.

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has rented a mansion in the elitist Maitama District of the Federal capital territory (FTC) Abuja, News Express can report this morning.

The storey building located at No. 8B, Rudolf Close, off Katsina Ala Crescent, in the highbrow Maitama District, was the abode of a former federal minister who died some time in May 2014.

An impeccable source said: “The property was rented to the Acting EFCC Chairman for N40,000,000 at N20,000,000 per annum.

“Furthermore, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) curiously awarded a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by Rtd Air Comm. Umar Muhammad, to furnish the residence at the cost N43,000,000, in a Government where the President is known to have frowned at and rebuked his ministers for requesting N20,000,000 each to secure accommodation and furnish them.

“It is shocking that the man spearheading the anti-corruption crusade of the government will be involved in such a venture. More surprising is the involvement of FCDA in renting a house for EFCC and under what arrangement.”

News Express made efforts to get the reaction of Magu and EFCC but the commission’s spokesmen Osita Nwajah and Wilson Uwujaren did not respond to text messages sent to them seeking their reaction to the story.

He has rendered them absolute useless. The governor now dictate how much he disburse to each local government every 2 months.

Now my solution for YOU is a simple one....with no due respect, kindly GET LOST! There.... solved!

It is good.
It will happen now.
Moreover, misitah-solutions, below is my post some two years ago on LGA autonomy that was long before your wailing.

And that is why we should MOBILISE public opinion for this LGA autonomy amendment to pass.
Then our LGAS can do what they are constitutionally RESPONSIBLE for instead of simply bootlicking the state governors.
