The way of looting and wrecking Lagos into the worst global city? Or what other way does the rogue Thiefnuibu know
itubaba001: Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.
Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.
Last year, Nigeria overtook India as the country with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty, thereby becoming the world capital of poverty, according to the Brookings Institute. This year, the number has risen to 91.6 million from 87 million in June 2018. Every minute, six Nigerians enter the group of extremely poor people, according to the World Poverty Clock.
A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.
The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.
“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.
The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.
At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.
The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.
Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

“The forthcoming general elections will provide us with the opportunity to convince the electorate of the need for continuity to enable our party to consolidate on our achievements in the last 7 years,” Mr Buhari said.
The president, according to a statement by his spokesperson Femi Adesina on Friday, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from Nasarawa State. “The Government and people of Nasarawa State, as usual, have a great role to play in returning our party to governance in the 2023 elections, in order to create a path for greater socio-economic growth and development.
“This is not only important for Nigeria alone but also for the West African Sub-Region,” the president was further quoted as saying.

anonimi: Anambra doctors call off strike after 13 months February 28, 2012
After over a year of down tools, Anambra State Government employed medical doctors have finally called of strike. According to Dr. Emma Ekwesianya, Chairman Anambra State chapter of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), the striking doctors decided to pick up tools again because of the plight of the ordinary people in the societ. “It is true, we have called off the strike. We have just signed the agreement with government about an hour ago. The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) signed for the government. A technical committee, headed by Prof. O.O. Mbonu was set up to execute the agreement.” He confirmed.
“We decided to take the 60 per cent offered by government because of our people. Government has been rigid and we do not want to continue with the rigidity of government. We are serving the people, not government and our people are suffering.” Speaking further, Ekwesianya, revealed that a technical committee, headed by Prof. O.O. Mbonu had also been set up by the association to see to the implementation of the agreement with government sequel to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Peter Obi-led government on Monday.
Chief Medical Director, Anambra State University Teaching Hospital (ASUTH), Amaku, Awka, Dr. Lawrence Ikeakor also confirmed the new development: “Well I’m happy to tell you that the strike has been amicably resolved, even though, like you said, it’s been a prolonged one but suffice it to say that it has been resolved and the doctors have resumed work.” “The call off was yesterday (Sunday). The doctors had some negotiations and held their congress yesterday, during which they agreed to call off the strike. So they resumed duty today. They are in their clinic. Well, I was not privy to the agreement but I will say that our representatives were satisfied with the arrangement, hence they decided to call off the strike.” He disclosed.
Ellasure: What else do you expect in Lagos Nigeria when their political father is busy spending Lagos money on his presidential ambitions in the northern Nigeria. Remember that Jonathan Goodluck did the same thing, in his first term thinking that the northern political people will reciprocate. He was terribly let down.
Somebody is about to learn his own lesson too. Very soon.
Hmm You do have a point o. I did not think of it that way. Why are we southerners so educated yet outsmarted by these illiterate Fulanis/northerners since before independence when Azikiwe & Awolowo agreed for NPC to have more parliamentary seats than their own parties NCNC & AG that were 1st and 2nd respectively. Even though I suppose that the two fathers of independence were aware how Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis went their separate ways in 1947 Na which kind juju abi na mumu dey do us since? PVC alone without donating money, time and skills to his campaign as well as that of candidates for senate, representatives, state lawmakers, governors etc? Please how do you expect the president alone, whoever he is, to fix the entire country?
This is what they want to turn the whole country - a land where criminals like Kabaka, Oluomo, Asari, Kabiru Sokoto and Tumpolo would run amok with no control.
You have spoken well. How do we liberate ourselves from these criminals and looters pretending to be leaders, if we don't put in our own money, talents and time into different aspects of the political process

I honestly wasn't expecting what I saw as the state of this secondary school. It left me wondering if this was a school or a dump yard. Why in heaven's name are Nigerian leaders looking the other way while the young ones study in this sorry environment?
The attached pictures are what I saw. This is no secondary school. It's a hopeless shanty. I hope this gets to front page and attracts the necessary attention.

You are right that this is just another pathetic lie and propaganda from the A-looter Propaganda Congress, APC. Can you imagine what Buhari's spokesman said five years ago- fuel import to stop by 2019 i.e. three years ago. Now another useless lie from Meles Kyari.
ImperialYoruba: Inspite of that, Yoruba dont run to North or East. We remain in Yorubaland.
Christians escaping fulani in north massacre, run to East to prove christianity truly matters to you. East is christianland.
So you agree that you are a hypocrite? Wonderful. Was it the absence of Thiefnuibu's selfish Emilokan support that made Sunday Igboho and other Yoruba victims run to Benin Republic? onuman: Before 1999, Tinubu blackmailed northerners with disintegration of Nigeria, until he was made governor of Lagos State.
In 2022, Tinubu blackmailed north and he got presidential ticket of APC. Tinubu is believed to have sponsored Yoruba Nation agitators in his bid to succeed President Buhari.
Tinubu has come up with the blackmail again, as he sees that he is not going to win the 2023 presidential election. Tinubu's pretence to love Nigeria stinks to the high heavens. He loves Nigeria only when things are going well for him and his family. Serial blackmailer, Bola Tinubu.
atinga1: But your candidate is not qualified naw! He's sick and very old, with questionable character. I understand you're paid to promote him, but we sane Nigerians cannot vote in another sick and senile person. Tinubu should go and rest.
Can he and will he listen to the voice of reason? Or the allure of continuing Buhari's looting and incompetence will not let him reason properly?
ImperialYoruba: These fools say Tinubu undermine lives of christians, but when fulani burn down their villages first thing they do is pack into pepper and onion truck to hitch a ride south. They see iboland, a christian region and they dont go there but they rush to SW to enjoy liberties installed by Tinubu and his party men.
Beside their states are ruled by muslim/muslim and they dare not oppose, or their villages are burnt down.
What freaks hiding under christianity to make claims that dont belong to them.
Can you please share with us what Thiefnuibu, the Fulani slave exemplar has said to all the Fulani villages burnt and people killed in south west? If you don't and can't, should you not change your moniker to hypocrite
Gerrard59: I read to the end. The major reason I like Nairaland - the real nature of Nigerians is displayed, no forming. This is how the typical Nigerian man spends on sex, and how he loves it. Like I've said countless times here, the average Nigerian man is sex starved. If the country was very liberal, culturally and religiously, like countries in Southern Africa, I doubt sex will be so monetized as it's in Nigeria.
To those who say get a wife or girlfriend, well, that doesn't stop men from patronising prostitutes. It's akin to those who say polygamy stops a man from cheating. In fact, the vast majority of men who patronise prostitutes are married men and those in serious relationships. As long as testosterone exists, men will always desire for sex and spend on it. To some men, sex is a hobby just as a sommelier loves tasting and drinking different wines. There are people who spend a lot on wine tasting and drinking. Hobbies can be addictive, one just has to manage it properly and financially.
Additionally, sex is not free. The belief that it's free is entirely false. Sex is paid for in either kind (offering a job, contract or admission), cash (like opined on this thread) and commitment (marriage/engagement). However, in rare cases, handsome men get sex for free. This is the top 1% of Nigerian men as the vast majority of Nigerian men are ugly (myself inclusive). If you think getting a wife equates free sex, don't drop feeding money or money for her upkeep and beauty products.
In conclusion, the best way to derive benefit from the sex industry is to offer a service or products that patrons and players consume. This could be as a restaurant (my hypothesis says 50% of restaurants in Nigeria will shut down should men be faithful to their partners, ditto 75% of hotels for the same reason), lounges, intimacy gadgets, herbs for sex enhancement etc. Men will always demand for sex, you don't have to play as a patron but as an entrepreneur. That's how my parents built their wealth.
Interesting conclusion to an interesting comment. Were your parents hotel owners?
So why is he such a fraudulent failure and rogue in practice? Obviously bullshit pretence and packaging can only scam unsuspecting people who can't extensively fact check what is said to match with historical performance or absence thereof.

Apart from Ganduje, what did funky mallam Sanusi do to improve the situation as Emir after his CBN looting covered with sweet, sanctimonious words of zero impact?
Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.
Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.
Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”
The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”
April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien. http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=24587
13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words... “Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,” “The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”. http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923
Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.
April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the Emir of Kano raised an issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion. “What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…" Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)
Lamido Sanusi and Stella Oduah The so-called APC and their praise-singers have never for once called for the revisiting of the FRCN report, oh because it doesn't favor them. Ironically, these people were quick to call for the ouster of Stella Oduah that was indicted for "lesser" offence but demonised Goodluck Jonathan for suspending Sanusi that has lots of indictment on his neck.
Conclusion Buhari, Sanusi and APC can continue in their hypocritical path of self-deception, but every attempt to twist history, intimidate or demonise Dr. Goodluck Ebelemi Azikiwe Jonathan shall be fully resisted. Since they see nothing wrong in the fraud of CBN under Sanusi of which they are beneficiaries, then they should see nothing wrong in whatever happens in NNPC or any Agency under Jonathan irrespective of whether or not any money is missing.
Does he not remind you of Buhari 2015 packaged by Tinubu, and Peter Obi now packaged with ZomBidient lies and propaganda?

nams77: This country is the way it is largely as a result of the Fulanis stranglehold on this country. The day we allowed quota system in place of merit, that was when Nigeria started dying. It won't get better until we remove them from decision making organs and enthrone meritocracy
One of the convenient lies we tell ourselves to avoid holding our own senators, representatives, state lawmakers, governors and LGA councillors and chairmen accountable. Is quota system used in the NASS for voting also? The NASS that refused to pass the RUGA Bill and the Inland Waterways Bill but passed the Electoral Bill. Was quota system what prevented Igbo and Yoruba PDP & APC delegates from choosing better candidates who are non-Fulani?
Racoon: Spending Nigeria money on RUGA? Bandits and terrorists don chop free money. Meanwhile, ASUU is still on strike, the economic is still contracting whiles these bastards are looking for another 11T to borrow and fund 2023 budget right?
What is the role of your own senator and representative in these approvals? Can the president spend any money that is not approved by the NASS

LieDetector: President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to ensure continuity of his regime by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
