Straight couples to be allowed to enter civil partnerships

Straight couples are to be allowed to enter into civil partnerships instead of getting married, Theresa May reveals to the Evening Standard today.

The Prime Minister said that for the first time ever gay and straight people will have “the same choices in life”.

Some 3.3 million couples in the UK live together but are not married, nearly half of them with children. Despite fully sharing their financial responsibilities, the families lack the full legal rights offered by marriage or civil partnerships.

Mrs May said: “This change in the law helps protect the interests of opposite-sex couples who want to commit, want to formalise their relationship but don’t necessarily want to get married. 

“As Home Secretary, I was proud to sponsor the legislation that created equal marriage. Now, by extending civil partnerships, we are making sure that all couples, be they same-sex or opposite-sex, are given the same choices in life.”

Civil partnerships were introduced under Tony Blair in 2004 to give gay people a right to marry in all but name. 

The milestone reform was limited to gay people because of fears among traditionalists that it would compete with marriage.

“There are all sorts of reasons why people may choose not to marry,” said Ms Mordaunt. “By giving couples this option we hope to give them and their families more certainty and security.”

In June the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Rebecca Steinfeld, 37, and Charles Keidan, 41, from London, who demanded the right to legal recognition of their relationship without “patriarchal baggage”.

The court decided the Civil Partnership Act 2004 – which only applies to same sex couples – was incompatible with the European Convention on Human Rights.

The camry and corolla are both very solid vehicles.

Efficiency both will get the job done but the camry has a bigger cabin, more leg room and comfortable sitting also more boot space.

Luxury the camry beats the corolla as the LE and xle come with leather optional sat navigation and JBL premium audio the corolla was never fitted with leather but the 06-07 has an upscale audio system.
The camry also comes with 16inch alloy rim options the corolla is 15 inch steel rim from factory on all models

Economy the corolla has a 1.6 and 1.8L engine while the camry has a 2.5L I4, V6 and hybrid. The camry hybrid comes close to the fuel economy of the corolla but to be on a safer side for 1st timer better to over look the hybrid. The corolla wins in economy but the camry 4 cylinder isn't bad if you want to balance power with economy. As full load the corolla is slow in acceleration.

Maintenance both are OK but camry parts are expensive than corolla. The corolla also has simple engine and parts even the sport version. I have 2 corolla in the family 04 and 07 the 07 has auto lock on moving the gear lever to Dallas, factory installed keyless entry, fog light.

Security both are robber magnet though the 06-07 corolla and most camry come with standard factory alarm systems, they can't be stolen whole when parked on like earlier models, but snatching at gun point has been major user experienced.

Verdict I would push to buy 06-07 corolla staying away from the sport due to bad roads and those with open roof as our weather conditions causes damage to the seals allowing leaks into the cabin.

If you like the camry, leave the SE and XLE with side skirts cause of our roads, push for a LE with all the bells and whistle (luxury edition with factory leather seats) but note most of the people using camry with non chalant attitude end up changing transmission.

please note that some of these points apply only to normal American corolla and Camry. The Altis corolla comes with factory leather, mine was 2008, with left hand drive from factory and had navigation as well.

thats the reasons oil now have number like 5w30

basically the number represents weather condition mainly temperature and how thick oul it is at cold

(5w) represent average morning winter temperature, which means that oil is ok to use for regions thats has an averange winter temperature of 5 degrea in the meaning, which means its ok to drive straight without warming the engine as the thickness @ 5 degrees is able to quickly reach areas that needs oil before any damage as been done

in simple terms the bigger the 1st number eg 20w the thicker the oil if morning winter temperature is below the 20 number (basically nomatter how cold is the morning your recomended oil should able let you drive straight way without warming up ) except extreme cold regions like alaska were some people heat up the coolant system by an extra system that they connect to the car

or another very simple explanation, honey, the cold the temperature the thick it is and the slower it can flow

so if your oil doesnt match up with yo region averange winter temperature eg you averange morning temp is around 5 and the oil you are using is 20w30 it means your oil is not thin enough to quickly reach parts that needs oil at cold start, the right oil would be 5w30

20w30 would be ok for areas that have average morning temps of 20 degress

so the oil u use must always match yo average morning winter temperature so that u dont have to wait for engine temperature to heat up the oil to became thin enough to reach tight places quickly before mental and mental grinds against each other
