TMA is on and in a long semester the portal has been working fine this semester cheers to the ICT guys

Please note most TMA are loaded so take the ones loaded while you wait for others





Please note that TMA 1 must be completed before attempting TMA 2 and so on.

There are four TMA and you need to take at least three to be able to do EXAM

You must have registered a course and exam before you can access your TMA

All departments can take there TMA anytime anyday

You can do your TMA yourself but if you are too busy or having difficulties you can chat me up for assistance

Thanks mate but this hasn't said anything different from what I have been told or what I have said! Question is, what's the way out about the Maths thing? Is there an alternate exam for instance that can remedy it or is considered equivalent? Or is it to go and register for 6-8 WAEC papers and sit for only Maths after 25 years?

TO LOAD YOUR WALLET
(Generating RRR and making payment)

1. Login to your portal
2. Click on "Manage Wallet"
3. On the drop-down list, select "Load Wallet"
4. Some of your details will come out, add zero to the beginning of your phone number and then fill in the amount of money that you intend to pay. (Do not insert comma, naira or full stop. Just insert the numeric value alone e.g. 49500 (for N49,500) and then select the payment option e.g. Bank, internet banking, ATM, etc and then submit.
5. After step 4, it will redirect you to Remita Page where you will find your RRR code somewhere at the top. Write it down and take it to the bank for payment.
6. On getting to the bank, fill the teller as usual, put NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA as account name and your own name as depositor's name. Don't bother to write the account number but just write the RRR code somewhere at the top of the teller.
7. After payment is successful, they will issue you a Remita Payment receipt and as well, a copy of the receipt will be sent to your email by remita. It is very important that you keep all payment receipts and tellers safely till you graduate.

CLARIFICATION OF NEW TUTOR MARKED ASSIGNMENT (TMA) GRADING SYSTEM

_I wish to call every NOUN student (both undergraduate and postgraduate level) attention to the new TMA Grading System in National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Listed Are Facts About The New Grading System

1. You can only see your result(s) of recently submitted TMA immediately after submission unlike before when you could view it infinitely.

Once you leave or reload the page, the next window that will load is similar to the illustration in Fig A.

2. Do not be confused thereby mistaken *TOTAL POSSIBLE SCORE* for *ACTUAL SCORE*

Students are strictly advised to put down their TMA score promptly after it is displayed on their device screen

3. The 10/10 seen after leaving the page isn't your score.

NB: Your TMA score will be displayed in the format as shown in Fig. B

It implies 10 is the highest grade for the assignment whether it comprises of 20 or 10 questions (eg MTH Courses)

4. Your *ACTUAL SCORE* for just submitted TMA is displayed on the screen in a format as shown in Fig. B

"TIPS"

1. Get a book or diary to keep record of your Tutor Mark Assignment scores

As a computer literate, download "NOTE MAKING" apps or perhaps MS Word or Excel to keep a good record of your TMAs

2. Make sure you establish cordial relationship with people you pay to submit TMA on your behalf because it is possible you won't have access to view the "RIGHT SCORE

Then "what you are told is what you get"

What's the essence of scoring high in exam, later on you realised you had "C" instead of A or B for not properly monitoring your TMA?

ALL prospective students seeking admission into National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) are to follow the step by step Procedure on How to Apply for Admission into the institution for 2017/2018 academic session
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Step by Step Procedure on How to Apply for Admission into National Open University of Nigeria

1. Visit the site www.nouonline.net

2. On the Home Page, go to the Menu Bar, Click on Apply for Admission

3. Select either Undergraduate Programme or Postgraduate Programme. Other programme is not available at the moment

4. Goto “Choose Faculty”

5. Select Faculty

6. Select programme of study

7. Select “Level” (Note: Postgraduate level is preset.)

8. Select “View Subject Required” to view compulsory subjects required for admission.

9. Click “Apply” to proceed to payment form.

10. Input details. (Note: Amount is fixed and non refundable.)

11. Select Bank Branch as payment type

12. Click “Pay”

13. Copy and take your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number to any bank branch for payment.

After payment

14. Perform step 1 to 3

15. Goto “Continue After Payment”

16. Input Applicant Name and RRR number

17. Click “Proceed”

18. Fill Form. Note: all fields marked with red star are compulsory.

After filling form,

19. Click “Submit”

20. Print Admission Letter

21. Visit the nearest study centre for screening

Paid application fee and all effort to effect it has proved abortive. The IT unit I went to also couldn't help. I am kind of frustrated because I couldn't get a reliable response and don't know how effective the system can be. The rrr pin is there but every time I try checking it at the site after payment am been told to wait.... And so it has been.

This frustration is too early please. I need help.

*AFTER PAYMENT INTO THE BANK, FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO MAKE YOUR PAID FUNDS REFLECT IN THE PORTAL*

(Note that some times, you may have to wait till the next day to ensure that Remita has responded to NOUN. Depending on the bank branch, some payments may take up to two days to reach NOUN from Remita and in such cases, the error report you get is "No positive response yet from Remita".)

1. Log on to www.nouonline.net
2. Before you login, click on "RRR Check"
3. Type in your RRR and then select "Wallet Funding" as your payment type.
4. MAKE SURE THAT YOU TYPE THE RRR WITHOUT THE HYPHEN (DASHES) JUST TYPE ORDINARY NUMBERS AND REMOVE THOSE DASHES
5. It will tell you "Transaction Successful".
6. Then log into your portal
7. Click on "Manage Wallet" and then Click on "Check wallet Payments"
8. Then insert the RRR in the space provided and submit

After being successful with this, your money should reflect in your portal instantly. Then you can go ahead with your Semester Registration, Course Registration and Exam Registration (in that order). To register those three stuffs, click on "Registration" in your portal. I trust you can find your way from here. FOR REGISTRATION, ENSURE YOU USE ONLY GOOGLE CHROME BROWSER. *TMA SUBMISSION IS ONLY GOING THROUGH AT MID NIGHT IN CASE YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SOME SERVER ERROR WHEN TRYING TO SUBMIT IT DURING THE DAY. Don't panic when it says TMA not available, some courses are not loaded yet

TMA will last for over a month so don't panic and the management will inform is before they close the TMA

Any time those that have not paid their fee pay they will still have access to their TMA

Follow the step below to view your TMA and note click on the word proceed itself not around it

1. Visit www.nouonline.net

2. Click on student login

3. Enter Login Details

4. Click on submit

5. Click on Your Courses

6. Select Second Semester 2017

7. Click on Submit

8. Click on Proceed

9. Click on 2017/2 Exams

10. Click on Take TMA for each exam course registered.

Please note that TMA 1 must be completed before attempting TMA 2 and so on.
