dungas30:BEFORE THE DAY GET BUSY TMA this semester somehow different from what we used to know No TMA 2 until you submit 1 that means you can't print all out at once You don't see your score again after the first initial submission, what you see after then is 10, this can make people submit bad mark for you and claim it 10/10 But with Mcharthony your 10/10 is guaranteed and also your full questions and answers after submission for revision purpose. This is what we do and a trial will convince u

ON TMA ISSUE Before, you can print all your TMA before submitting for revision purpose but with the new development you don't have access to other TMA until you finish the first so it will be difficult for you to print them all. *_What I would advise is that you screenshot every page before clicking on SUBMIT and then print them out later at your convenience._* The TMA is a four set of questions tagged TMA 1-4, each carries 10 marks and the school chooses the best three scores to arrive at 30 marks. Also pls try to have the best mark for your TMA because it will help you a lot in your overall result. |

BASE ON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Pls note NOUN don't give conventional lecture, some I repeat some centres just do facilitation or tutorial. Just get up and develop your personal reading ability or find that coursemate who you can gel and read together Don't wait for the promise of materials try and get your materials by downloading from nouedu.net, or borrow from old students or get a place the print out is cheap and print out or print from your office, hardly will you get all materials from the school. You don't have to pay before you start reading also read whether you understand or not don't worry you will be fine Learn how to navigate the portal nouonline.net and nouedu.net you don't need to go to school all the time for all things Also when you make transactions in your portal and you still have money or you have a negative balance don't panic you have not committed any crime just chill and watch For any complaints Call/WhatsApp:08185025045 Stay tunned Mcharthony |

COURSE AND EXAMINATION REGISTRATION DEADLINE HAVE BEEN INDEFINITELY EXTENDED - - By Emeke Nwaoboli The media and publicity chairman, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Ibrahim Scheme, has disclosed that course and examination registration portals formerly slated to close today October 25, 2017 according to the school calendar, have been indefinitely extended. He said this in a phone interview with Impact-Trust Prints(ITP). According to Mr Scheme, the Senate would be meeting this week to discuss on when the new deadline for the registrations would be, as well as when the last semester results would be released. He encouraged all students to discard any rumour of course and examination registration deadline and date of release of last semester's results, as both have not been finalized by NOUN management. |

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR IT/SIWES 1. The IT/SIWES Program is a 6unit course which must be completed by students before they graduate from the school. It holds for 6months (24 weeks). Some departments (e.g. ESM) have their IT twice as 3 unit course in each case at different semesters. In such a situation, each of the 3-unit IT course will last for three months. You will be graded from three main areas (i) Your NOUN supervisor’s comment (ii) Your Company’s supervisor’s comment (iii) The content of your Log Book 2. It is not mandatory to have registered your IT/SIWES as a course before you are allowed to participate in the program. However, you must pay N1,000 for the log book and submit copies of the Remita Payment Receipt and the Payment Teller at the study center (precisely at the office of your faculty) to collect the log book. 3. Although you do not necessarily need to have registered it as a course before you start the program, you must still register it as a course before you get your result for it. According to the school counselor, *you do not need to register IT/SIWES for examination*.. only the *course registration* is necessary. 4. Initially, registration for IT/SIWES (and even Project) was N15,000 but under this new administration and the new system, registration for IT/SIWES is now N3,000. Put this in mind when you are estimating your school fee for the semester if you want to participate in IT. 5. Payment for IT/SIWES course registration will be with your normal semester course registrations (I mean just as you register every other course for the semester) hence you pay for it like you pay for other courses directly into your portal, However, *payment for the logbook is made directly into the federal government account through the Remita website and not through your NOUN portal*. This means that apart from the N3,000 you paid into your school portal plus the money you paid into the same portal for registration of other courses, you are meant to pay N1,000 into the federal government account through Remita website. That is to say: *For Payment for IT/SIWES course registration: Pay into your NOUN e-wallet alongside your other course registration fees *For Payment for Logbook: Pay into Federal Government Pause via Remita website using the instructions below |
*NOUN READY FOR COLLABORATION WITH OPEN UNIVERSITY OF UK - VC* Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu, has expressed the readiness of NOUN to collaborate with sister universities in areas of mutum interest. He spoke on Tuesday while playing host to officials of the Open University of UK who paid a courtesy call on him in Abuja. Led by Craig Walker, an Associate Professor in Development Policy and Practice Research, the team was at the NOUN headquarters in order to explore areas of mutual interest with regards to research in religious tolerance and understanding, which would be funded by the UK's Department for International Development (DFID). "The Open University of UK is very keen on forging a partnership with NOUN and we will welcome it if such opportunity is open to us," said Dr. Craig. Responding, Prof. Adamu assured the visitors of NOUN's acceptance of the collaboration, subject to the availability of a clear blueprint. He said NOUN provides a role model to other Open Universities in Africa. "Aside South Africa, others in the East, Central and West Africa look up to NOUN to provide them with a model in terms of study materials, study centres, examination administration and students enrolment," he said. Adamu added that in a bid to expand the presence of NOUN on the continent, the university would be opening study centres in the west coast of Africa, starting with Niger Republic. He said: "We just returned from Niger Republic where government officials indicated interest for us to come and establish a study centre. We are trying to expand our study centres to Niger Republic, Benin Republic, Togo, Cote d'Ivoire (and) Burkina Faso until we establish study centres everywhere along that region of West Africa." Adamu disclosed that NOUN, as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution, was modelled after the Open University of the UK, operating with best practices of the ODL system. On NOUN's acceptance of the collaboration with the UK university, he said, "This is something that is very exciting to us and we have accepted the partnership. "We have been receiving this kind of collaboration from other reputable universities abroad. In the last one month, we received Morgan State University in the United States and the University of Sussex, UK. "In this way we can always build linkages for improved academic activities. We will be glad to provide whatever infrastructural facilities needed for this programme to survive so that Nigeria becomes a better place for us all." |
