TV/Movies › Re: Ajuri Ngelale: Lebanese Reporter In AIT? by antitpiah: 12:13am On Jul 31, 2011 |
apache77: Ajuri Ngelale is the bomb…he is the next big thing to come in Nigerian broadcasting.you guys had better watch him. The only place he can go from here is up. Though his reporting is tentative (he is a rookie, by his own admission), his style is distinct and engaging, he has flowery rhetoric and a beautiful grasp of language. I always like his openings (Forced to work in a city where they cannot afford to live, Nigerian workers are in……… ) I remember him opening in one of his reports- I think when he was reporting the Maraba- Nyanyan traffic log jam a few weeks ago. He is very good and for a green horn, he is excellent. Once he gets to grips with the newsroom and becomes more confident, he will explode. I don’t see him staying there for long as the likes of CNN, BBC, SKY will soon come circling. I am watching him keenly. Very stupidddddd post Of course, he is half - White, his grasp of the language would be superior to that of any Nigerian. Not even Chimamamda would be able to compete with him. AIT is doing a disservice to Nigerian graduates born and bred in Nigeria. There is no reason for this But hey, looking at the level of complex amongst Nigerians, I won't be surprised if this becomes a trend. More unemployment for Nigerian graduates, more money and viewership for AIT leading to more unemployment for Nigerians which would definitely lead to more viewership for AIT et al from laid off and sedentary Nigerians, most of whom are not creative and well equipped WRT job creation. And, this would lead to more employment for half-Whites, Whites and anyone with "better accent" than those heavy accented Nigerians with poor grasp and usage of the language, and then the industry goes the way of the Oil, where Whites and any random non-Nigerian recruit is labeled expat. Continue to watch keenly while foreigners take over your country, one industry at a time. Mumuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus unlimited |

Chyz*: The north or yorubaland. There is more space there and high unemployment. Would be great to site it in either of the two places. If the north, then the NW is the best because of its vast size. We will take it as long as you guys are willing to come work there, in the initial stages. After all, y'all are the technology experts in Nigeria |

I graduated with the same set as the said student and from all indications he was really good and worth the hype,a very huble dude, was somefin else on the football field as well as in the classroom.
Well in covenant university,u have lecturers tht r willing to explain things to u if u dnt understand,a veri student friendlsy environ save for rules n all/
i studied mass comm n since inception there has bn only one first class grad. frm the dpt,ppl wl always fail to realize tht n hate on the dude hu had 4.99 cgpa.I mean must Nigerians fink u must kill urself before u gt it??If u v an enabling envrion wif light, deviod of cultists and old, wicked pot-bellied lecturers, the sky z your limit.I maself graduated wif a 2.2 a CPGPA of about 3.4 and not even one mark was added for me to gt to a 2.1 Cgpa, I do not totally disagree wif a particular poster tho' who said tht CU graduates r nuh readily available for jobs and ish, generally nuh streetwise, well thts true to a certain extent, most r, well lets lv tht fo some oda tym,
i mean look at the west, they encourage learning on the internet, stuffs tht r nuh stressful buh which stl add to your intellect and overall student results and grades, buh ere in Nigeria,d belief z tht lecturers must collect bribe,be tight fisted n wicked in their markings and refuse to release results and ish, Look at how Nigerians soar wen exposed to good opportunities abroad, In short, provide a good student from OAU and the oda above mentioned universities wif the same as in CU and watch tht student soar, #OkBye You have to be from CU, with the way you write, I am shocked you graduated with a 2.2, SERIOUSLY. me thinks, you failed out for real |

so how can they now differeniate the igbo and yoruba Why would it be impossible to deifferentiate a yoruba man from an Igbo man? Ever heard of the Out of Africa migration? It is more difficult differentiating a White man from a Yoruba man than Yoruba Vs. Igbo. Think about it. Africa is the most diverse group on planet earth. Issues like this cannot be thoroughly explained on NL. |
