He said drivers and conductors in Lagos will be required to wear uniform, adding that this is meant to improve the safety of lives and property within the state.
“Government will soon commence the re-registration of motor parks across the state. The situation where people just park vehicles in some areas and converting them to motor parks is now illegal,” Opeifa noted.
uniform ko, prison attire ni. Why stop at uniform, he should just go ahead and regulate every aspect of their lives, including their private lives.

Fashola and his military mentality. Can someone tell him we are in a democracy, please.

Look at the girl for instance . . . Isnt she fat? There is Obesity in her future somewhere and maybe diabetes, which of course will lead to amputation of her extremities. She may not enact her poor prognosis as exactly as i have stated; however, there is no denying the fact that she is not a miss universe material. . . not now, not in the future, and no amount of plastic surgery can change that.

Ovularia: "It is only proper for us to note that the black man all over the world has passed through several challenges from slavery, colonialism and apartheid in South Africa. Even for those of us still living in the continent of Africa, we are so partitioned and bulkanised without our interest and in some cases people of the same culture are placed in two, three different countries. That is even still a challenge to us today which is why we are still struggling to govern our states in Africa,” the president said.

daywatcher: the gap between African and western leaders is too immense to compare
And you drew this your 'immense' conclusion from the picture above? An ordinary westerner would most likely have thought nothing of the picture above . . . I guess the gap in thinking and ability to critically analyze issues between African and Western citizens is too immense to compare cool

OAM4J: Interesting!

No battalion of Soldiers, Police and SSS surrounding him.
Dont believe everything you see. Common people like you are only meant to see a couple of secretly armed police which may not be obvious from the photograph above because of the angle from which the pix was taken. There are no doubts that there are armed MI5 agents, armed plain clothes officers, armed bodyguards and maybe a few James Bonds all nearby and mixed in with the crowd, in the train, and on the ground, stationed at all his stops; they are all trained to notice potential threats and counter them before they become real threats, and they are all trained to blend into the background and not be noticed. Just try grabbing the prime minister and see how far you get. If you look closely enough, the passengers around him were carefully selected and werent too close to him. Again, dont let Oyinbo fool you.

Grown a/s/s/ man stalking another grown a/s/s man. . . And to think this grown a^s^s man has a child? One wonders what kind of role model he is to his children.

Anywhere you see Beaf, you see them fumbling and falling head over heels to formulate a disjointed response; like a teenage girl seeing a dyck for the first time. I guess, Beaf's dyck must be something to die for for these shameless goons or how else can one describe @Pataoshi's obsession with Beaf's dyck. SMH

Jarus: Shakes my head for the stupid stalker that couldn't meet Ife's admission requirements and still ruing it many years after.
I did get in on merit. . . I just didnt stay wink

WS was a lecturer in Ife when he won his Nobel prize. No?
The Nobel was for the works he did prior to joining the faculty at Ife. So, again, Ife is yet to produce a NL. My argument still stands; UI = Barcelona. And you my friend would not have got into UI with your circa 240 UME score, very mediocre in the pantheon of great scores like mine grin. And, BTW, I did way better than you on the UME, with less resources, tougher subject combination, and ~-3 age difference. wink

Olodo stalker that even traced me to FB. I don't have anything to prove to you, actually.
rofl. Jarus calling me Olodo. grin I didnt even stalk you on Myspace and Twitter. I just happened to come across your name while rummaging through the friend-lists of a couple of Pre-K friends . . . and I thought it would be nice to mess with you a lil. And I will continue to mess with you until you start justifying your 'First Class' grin. I really doubt you can justify it though, you really cant give what you aint got. Prove me wrong Alhaji.

if you watch the food channel on tv, its obvious many of these chefs put a lot of effort and thought into preparing the dishes.

though some of the tastes are acquired ones however.

THAT'S THE QUESTION. grin grin grin
No offense, you are the dumbest person on NL, only second to Katsumoto. I have been living in the dark for the past 2 days in America, hmm . . . America isnt that better than Nigeria? EducationRe: Improving Low Gpa by antitpiah: 2:05pm On Jul 31, 2012
Jarus: Spot on. A mistake many students make is believing reading and reading only is what makes one pass exams. There are other factors.
In addition to those highlighted in this quoted comment, others include
- Exam taking skills - exam is not about picking your pen and writing only, there are many other things to it.
- Tension in exam condition: Do you panic inside exam hall? That may be an undoing for you
- what do you read? Things that have been expunged from syllabus? Some archaic textbooks even your lecturer is not aware of?

All these are critical in succeeding as a student, beyond just reading.
How can you read something that has been expunged? rofl. This is why I like coming here, reminds of my history and the peculiarity of Naija English. Using big words in nonsensical context. grin grin grin grin
EducationRe: If Football Clubs Were Academic Institutions in Nigeria? by antitpiah: 2:02pm On Jul 31, 2012
Jarus: We all know the big 5 among Nigerian universities. Just match them with the big 5 in world football, using similarities
NOT IN ANY ORDER
1, BARCA = IFE - rivals with Lag, bragful
2, MADRID = LAG - agelong rivalry with Ife, effizzy
3, MAN U = ABU - King of England, King of the North
4, A.C MILAN = UI - conservative, successful
5, BAYERN = UNN - most successful outside Spain(South West) and England (ABU) and compete well with champions of other regions
Liverpool is the king of England; more trophies, more fans etc
Barca = UI. Ife is yet to produce a Nobel Laureate.

Jsrus, always wrong, always unable to justify his First Class from Ife. SMH!

EducationRe: If Football Clubs Were Academic Institutions in Nigeria? by antitpiah: 11:40am On Jul 31, 2012
topsyne: If FOOTBALL CLUBS were to be ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS in Nigeria then:

ARSENAL = FUTO: where the students work hard through out the year but fail to succeed.

MANCEHSTER CITY
= IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY.: where the students purchase all the expensive items and live large but are never interested in their primary assignment.

LIVERPOOL = UNILAG / MAULAG: where the students are very much proud of the academic achievements of their grand fathers.

MANCHESTER UNITED = UNAAB: where students don’t perform well in class except their final exams and achieve good results.

CHELSEA = OSU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) where students fail and put the blame on their VC after which, d government will intervene to find a new VC for the school every year.

REAL MADRID = UI(University of Ibadan) where students think they perform best and keep beefing d best students of other schools.

and Finally,

BARCELONA = UNILORIN where students work hard, perform well in class and achieve d best result in the whole country.
Obviously you go to Ilorin. I think, Barcelona = American University of Nigeria. AUN attracts the best, the faculty is the best in Nigeria and they produce the best graduates

Binty: Good day all ! I am a 100 level computer science student in one of the universities in Nigeria After studing so hard for my first semester examinations and believing i passed i was so suprised to get a 1.96 gpa
pls i want some advice to get it back up because i have always wanted to get a first class is that even still possible for me ?Thanks in anticipation
Thats nothing, I wouldnt worry about it. You seem to be on a downward spiral, if thats true, my advice for you is to come back here when you get to sub-1.3. For now, just continue to ask around what you can do to improve your GPA, fast if you can, make a nearby church your second home, stay away as far as possible from libraries and group study, dont study, dont focus just keep asking stupiddd questions around as if there is a miracle somewhere.

That said, I admire your initiative; your belief that somehow we have answers to your problems is really admirable.
